Robotech was a work of genius. It took a series destined for mediocrity and forged an epic tale of human bravery against impossible alien odds, while integrating two other mediocre series and saving them from the same fate, without having to subject the story to any further contamination by idols, which were never supposed to be the fulcrum of the tale. We are blessed to have lived in a time where Robotech exists to stand as a beacon of proper military science fiction.

It was a great adaptation for its time, but Harmony Gold ruined everything by sitting on the rights to the Macross series, which is more valuable to anime fans than Robotech. HG needs to go under already so someone else can try to pick up Macross.

I thought they only owned the license for the toys, but sued everyone that tries to bring in macross regardless of item and ownership becuase they're assholes.

Well, now they're streaming the original anime on Amazon to make us forget about the whole licensing fiasco, but they're streaming the DVD versions instead of the HD releases.

The best way to get them out of business is to only import Macross products from Japan, such as the English subbed Blu-Rays.
