Throughout the series Reina has shown to be really good at reading Fold Waves. Is Reina the next wind singer?
I hate Reina! Dirty singer, dirty songs!
I know, but OP is pointing out Reina is particularly sensitive. Like, she realizes that Freyja and Hayate are syncing before anyone else. There's a moment like that in episode 18, for example. She open her monitor because she could felt something what's going on with Freyja and Hayate.
Not just any waves. Super strong fold waves that can transcend time and space.
I believe only Mikumo, and Freyja have shown to be able to do this (and Heinz as well). Iirc, when Freyja sang Giraffe Blues to save cat dad, Heinz and Gramia were capable of hearing her all the way back in Windermere.
The only people who has been shown to be able to do this is Heinz. I would have included Mikumo and Freyja, however their is a big flaw in this theory. The only people Freyja's songs traveled to are Windies, and Mikumo's songs only traveled to Hienz/Kieth.
Of course Windies would be able to feel their songs, because of their runes. They can also feel Kaname, Makina and Reina's also. Until their songs reaches someone without a rune (at a great distance, and without amps), Mikumo and Freyja can't be confirmed Wind Singers.
Well, to be fair, Heinz is using a fuck tone of amplifiers to reach that far. I don't think he could do it without amps or even with normal equipment like what Walkure is using.
You're forgetting that Heinz uses that portal thing to make his song reach further, so he does have "amps" of sorts. As for Mikumo and Freyja we do have yet to see if they can reach outside planets and can be heard by people who aren't Windies.
>I believe only Mikumo, and Freyja have shown to be able to do this (and Heinz as well).
I don't think its accurate to full consider Mikumo and Freyja until they have done this on a person who doesn't have runes. Heinz and Grama have runes which allow them to sense the slightest disturbances. Especially Heinz since he has the largest and strongest runes.
This objection of yours make no sense
So what? The king heard it from Windermere. It had to have travelled there virtually instantly. The king can't "hear" it faster than other beings. It don't work like that.
Then Heinz isn't really a wind singer either. Without special amps only Walkure could hear him. Now he's using Sigur Valens, which is filled to the brims with fold waves amps, to power his singing.
This would have been a solid counter, and I did take this into consideration. However that device is just a protoculture relic, which is used to communicate with the runes.
Not only that, during the scene where Hienz was crowned king. He achieved the same thing by singing without that device.
Heinz's song is being powered by the Sigur Valens, They specifically said it's equipped with tones of fold wave amplifiers. Before he got Sigur Valens only Walkure could hear his song.
The king didn't hear anything. He felt it through his runes.
Walkure both heard and felt him singing during his coronation process. Hienz was not using the special amps during then
>He achieved the same thing by singing without that device.
He was in the same spot as was shown in Mikumo's flashbacks. Most likely it's a specially designed place and it's full of fold quartz too.
>Walkure both heard and felt him singing during his coronation process. Hienz was not using the special amps during then
His song was being amplified. You see Sigur Valen lighting up like a xmas tree. That's the amp.
Yes, this is true. However it is just amplifying what Heinz can already do, and making it stronger. Hienz was able to sing without the Sigur Valens when he was crowned king, and was still able to cause Var at a great distance.
If Makina was singing at the Sigur Valens, I highly doubt it would work. It may work for either Mikumo and Freyja however we can't be 100% sure until they show an ability to reach people at great distance without the amps. Perhaps they will be able to do this once they are at their full strength
I think anons have forgotten something crucial in that VAR/mind control Freyja fucking up Hayate theory. As far as we know (stated in the anime) not even Heinz can mind control someone just like that. And he can't VAR them either. Hence why they resorted to the apples and water. Once they are VAR'ed, only then can they be mindcontrolled. Fold waves alone can't fuck shit up.
Reina's popularity has always been there, even before Bogue. You never noticed the attacking that one Reina hater. They little swarm out of nowhere to defend her when she is being ill spoken
>However it is just amplifying what Heinz can already do, and making it stronger. Hienz was able to sing without the Sigur Valens when he was crowned king, and was still able to cause Var at a great distance.
No, you can see Sigur Valens is there. Even if he's not inside, the ship still responds to his song and amplifies the fold waves.
Could be. But remember that it was also stated that the water and apples that the Windies infected were the same ones that were given as rations to the military. Therefore we can also say that the NUNS were probably infected before coming into contact with Heinz' mind control.
fuck, forgot the pic
Faved Makina since 0.89. I'm stubbornly hopeful.
I want that ship to happen because if would be hilarious in the series (Reina would whip runpika boy into submission fast), and the shitstorm would be priceless. Don't think it's going to go beyond Bogue's one-sided boner.
They both are mistake.
Silent Hacker is the worst Walkure song.
Jiritikku Beginner is the second worst Walkure song.
"Just like sisters" gimmick is annoying.
Walkure should have been 3 girls group. Freyja, Mikumo and Kaname.
Kaname isn't even all that special. Her design and personality are both boring. Her storyline could have been easily swapped with Makina and Reina. Plus Reina's VA is the better singer of the three
No, I think he definitely sees her in a romantic light as well now. Like you said, perhaps not outright love, but it's definitely at least a crush at this point.
I was only asking because I wanted to know what others thought on the matter. I think episode 22 is where it'll be solidified that he loves her, and not just a simple crush.
I'm optimistic but I don't want to be too optimistic in the case that something stupid like Freyja choosing not to be with Hayate in the end happens for whatever reason, like her sacrificing herself.
Honestly don't feel like i'm qualified to answer
I'm shipping them kinda hard, and to me, the last few episodes have been pretty romantic. I mean I know I'm a shipper, so I admit there's a huge possibility i'm just overinterpreting anything Hayate did with regards to Freyja since episode 16, as romantic. I dunno, i'd like to know how a genuinely neutral person sees his actions lately
>I think episode 22 is where it'll be solidified that he loves her, and not just a simple crush.
Yeah, I also think this will be the moment for both of them to confess or at least for Hayate to go one step higher and says he loves her. All that talk about episode 22, it means it's gonna be a big one and not only for Freyja.
>I'm optimistic but I don't want to be too optimistic in the case that something stupid like Freyja choosing not to be with Hayate in the end happens for whatever reason, like her sacrificing herself.
That's true for myself. I think at the end it will be Freyja's choice if she wants to be with Hayate or not, rather than him. Unless of the event of her dying during the anime, in which I believe Hayate won't turn to Mirage for "comfort".
I doubt Freyja won't make it out of the anime alive though. As far as I know, Kawamori has yet to kill a Macross MC. Also not too mention that he's huge on understanding and happy endings.
I don't know how Kawamori works but I really hope, deep in my soul, he won't kill Freyja. I would rather have her alive and continue living, even those 15 years of hers, rather than confess to Hayate, he confesses back and then dies.
So next episode Hayate is injured, and Freyja isn't allowed to see him because her fold magic almost killed him. Mirage takes it upon herself to help take care of injured Hayate, and Hayate sees her for the sexy space elf she is.... or she will stare at him from afar for an entire 2 seconds and still be irrelevant. Probably the second one.
Yeah I see no reason why she has to die. It's bad enough she's only got 15-20 years to live. She doesn't deserve that shit.
Oh yeah totally, same. If it came between Hayate and Freyja becoming a couple to Freyja dying in the end vs. Them not getting together but Freyja getting to live the rest of her life happily, I'm 100% on board with Freyja living happily without Hayate as a boyfriend.
I care more about Freyja than the ship.
>mfw we get to episode 22 and it doesn't live up to our hyped expectations or we were trolled by staff into thinking it was going to be the second coming of jesus
According to his VA, Roid's got the best interest of Windermere in his heart but has different methods from Keith's.
Novels do make it seem like Windermere is being tug fought between NUNS and anti NUNS both being shady as fuck and Roid appears to fuck them up.
We have exact date. It was April 20th.
No exact date. All we know is it in 2067. And Messer flight log points to Hayate being with Delta Platoon since August. Then take off the month that he was in training. So Hayate and Freyja perhaps met somewhere around June 2067.
So wait how long has Walkure been a thing, since Freyja's been a huge fan of them for a long time now, and her only exposure to human music was that music player she got as a little girl
Well Hayate's birthday was somewhere around the time of Messer's death. I doubt anyone was up for celebrating. But yeah, it would've been nice to have seen Freyja give him a gift.
Remember how we all thought episode 16 was going to be Freyja's birthday but then episode 15 made us think it would be Hayate's birthday instead? And then episode 16 aired and it was actually Freyja's birthday all along.
Sasuga Kawamori. Always stringing us along.
5 years. Walkure was created in 2062. But it changed its members several times.
I think Kaname joined 2 years ago, then were Reina and Makina, and then finally Mikumo.
>Would have been nice if we saw Freyja think of a gift first.
She would give Hayate her virginity as a present
For all sakes and purposes Freyja is 15 years old, a minor. She's not a middle aged woman. She has the body of a teenager. Windermereans just begin to age faster in their late 20s.
He'd attempt to hatefuck Reina.
She'd overpower him and claim his 15 y.o. cherry instead, all the while laughing at him. Makina tapes it so she and Reina can fondle each other later.
At the end they leave Bogue crying in bed.
I was being a Freyjafag and thinking "On Hoina RL 15th birthday I'll re-watch the episode to remember how cute she is".
Until I fucking realized that's until November 3rd 2067. I'm going to be 76 by then. I might not even be alive anymore. Fucking hell.
>Cassim had his son at age 17
>which means he must've had sex while 16 or after having just turned 17, and more or less the same for his waifu
How has this show not been cancelled for supporting pedophilia?
At 13, Japan's base age of consent is the lowest of any developed country. However, many prefectures also have local "corruption of minors" or "obscenity statutes" (淫行条例) which raise the de-facto age of consent to 16-18, unless they are in a "sincere romantic relationship", usually determined by parental consent.
Apparently, Delta takes place only only a few years after Frontier. I haven't seen Frontier and I have no idea what happened to its characters, but wouldn't it make sense to recruit Sherly into the Walkure (she should about 25 at the time Delta takes place) given that due to her lineage she probably has fold receptors.
Is the V-type infection from Frontier related to Var in any way? If the page on Mao Nome on Macross wiki is any indication, it is(?)
Excuse you. As a Mexican female my life expectancy is until the age of 79.5. Plus both of my families sides have a tendency to live past the age 80. My great great grandmother lived until the age of 107.
Better start eating kale and granola as of now, motherfuckers.
I'm pretty sure that the final episode when Hayate and Freyja do a super love-love Fold beam wave, Bogue will realize that it's okay to not hate "all" the Earthlings
The V-type infection from Frontier is related to the enimes in that series, which was the Vajra. Sheryl and Ranka wouldn't be that much help since they are both as equally strong as Kaname, Reina and Makina
So, what Mikumo did was a warning, right? It seems that she(?) interrupted whatever was going on with ruins and also intimidated Heinz, who was dicking around with the system. Song text is rather peculiar too
>implying he wasn't a Sherylfag
Because the war made they edgy. This was the previous White Knight >>145153701 Hayate dad killed him with that bomb. He was a member of SMS and he fought Galaxy with his Frontier pals.
Truly a hero we deserved.
>implying Windermere women aren't hot as fuck too
Even the background ladies were 10/10. And Freyja is a goddess.
Windie people are just so damn attractive in general.
Ngl, I'm still holding out for second son-kun to make an anime appearance asking Freyja to come back to Windermere and marry him.
>only ugly background people are the runeless faggots
The one eye covered guy could even star in the show with how fancy he looks, same with the sharp eyed, black haired dude, and the curly blonde guy below
>If you search nunshit in archive you will find it's just random shitposting which ignores current thread topics with majority of posts being from 23:00-24:00 UTC.
I'm a little bit disgusted that I started noticing these things. Looks like some retard wakes up and decides to start his day with a shitpost on /a/.
Good morning, shithead.
Those were probably nobles, the working class Windies like Kassim are pretty average.
No, these are the nobles.
Original Windie with normal lifespan that was able to grow her fold powers that allowed her to mind-control even the Protoculture, forcing them to seal her away and placed restricted lifespan on all future Windie. Or, if you want pottery, she's the original sin.
"The apple became a symbol for knowledge, immortality, temptation, the fall of man and sin."
I'd state the obvious about how Windermere and the anime give a lot of focus to apples, it's a recurring theme.
My theory is that Windermere weren't always meant to die at 30. It's possible that the first Windies were Immortal protectors of the protocolture (Mikumo may be one of the originals). However because her descendants started to fall to the "temptation and sin" of their superior physical strengths and affinity to wind, she could've manipulated the protocolture to restrict their lifespan to 30 years as punishment and a way to keep them in check.
Why are you even using Christianshit when the apples they use is the Norse ones. Freyja is overlapped with Iddun, the guardian of apples.
>In Norse mythology, the golden apples are the source of the gods' immortality and perpetual youth; comparable to the role of ambrosia in Greek mythology. They are cultivated by—and most often associated with—the goddess Iðunn.
The Jellyfish Creation Myth:
Ishmael is an Arabian man from the creation of the universe story via jellyfishes. Al-shahal is Arabian theme and is the 3rd party with Winderemere. Another huge theme this episode was Jellyfishes.
Important passage from Jellyfish creation story: “For many millions of centuries the life of the world was merely microorganisms floating helplessly in a chemical broth. But little by little, more complex forms appeared: single-celled creatures, slimes, algae, polyps, and so on. “But finally,” the creature said, turning quite pink with pride as he came to the climax of his story, “but finally jellyfish appeared!”
Freyja is not overlapped with Idunn you dumb anon. The only thing they have in common is that Idunn has a "possible link" to fertility.
Did you know that Freyja was actually the one who lent Loki her Falcon shape so he could search for and capture Idunn? I am assuming that by overlapped you meant "confused as same person" but it's clearly stated that they are 2 completely different people.
As for your question. I merely used apples for their modern and universal symbolism.
The godess Freyja has a husband and his name is Óðr.
The Old Norse noun óðr may be the origin of the theonym Óðinn (Anglicized as Odin), and it means "mind", "soul" or "spirit" (so used in stanza 18.1 of the Poetic Edda poem Völuspá). In addition, óðr can also mean "song", "poetry" and "inspiration", and it has connotations of "possession".
Mind, soul, spirit, song, inspiration..
What does that remind you of?
>Mind, soul, spirit, song, inspiration..
>What does that remind you of?
If only. Bogue is too good for one liners meme girl. I wish he had a boner for an actual character and not a cardboard cutout. Bogue having a crush on Kaname for instance sounds cute, she can be his new onee-san.
What Macross would I watch first as someone wanting to get into the series?
So is Rudanjal Mikumo's real name or what ?
I might be really behind the ball since i just caught up but is it just me or do the runes on mikumo really look like the ones on the Zentradi from Macross II - Lovers Again just more flashy.
Freyja is also the goddess of sorcery, war and death
Solo Wing Mirage will save us from this twisted song
Hnnnng. My biggest kink
Affectionate hand holding
>Not just skipping everything
>watching Macross at all
>6 months into their relationship Freyja asks Hayate to teach her how to dance like he does
>Hayate agrees and tell her to meet him in his room at 9 pm and to wear something comfortable
>When Freyja gets there, Hayate locks the door behind her
>Alright Freyja...today I will teach you how to do the horizontal tango.
There in a pitch black room, Hayate thinks the pink light her rune emits and basks over her naked body makes her seem even more sensual. The teasing smile she gives him along with her hooded eyes tells him all he needs to know and before he can even think about it, his calloused hands are traveling over the silky smooth skin of her legs until they reach her hips.
Crazy theory. All those times Mirage looked upset or distressed at Hayate and Freyja isn't jealousy, but guilt. She's working with SMS and they're probably gonna make her do something she'll regret in the end that will break the two apart.
so that means when she's crying in episode 16, she wasn't feeling sad that she lost the bowl but it's because her heart is torn realizing that she had to break up such a nice relationship?
Yeah. This twist might fix her character easy. It'll justify why she never made a move on Hayate despite being upset. She'll go from annoyingly shy do nothing girl to a sympathetic anti-hero.
Aisha, one of the heroines of 30 and a SMS member joined Chaos, Mirage is simply reporting shit of Freyja and Hayate to her.
The one who was a member of SMS was the late White Knight of Windermere, Lord Andria >>145153701 He helped Frontier against Galaxy, taking down two Lucifers.
Either Reina are Makina are dead before the last episode.
We aint making it to the end with every Walkure member and you all know it
His hands rest on her delicate hips, fitting perfectly over her curves. Using his thumbs to trace circles over her slighty potruded hip bones, he appreciates the view beneath him.
His dear Freyja, sensual and blushed, her eyes closed and her teeth biting softly on her bottom lip.
'Hot' he thinks when a soft gasps leaves Freyja.
"Why are you teasing me so much?" she inquires, "I thought I was clear with what I wanted?"
Small puffs of laughter escape Hayate's lips, "I know what you want, and I'll give it to you. But I'll give it to you nice and slow. There's no need to rush, we have all night."
Freyja seems to give in and he returns to work. His right hand begins to trail down her left leg. With careful ease, he slowly lifts it and brings his lips to place butterfly kisses in a trail that runs up her thighs.
He chooses not to answer her, instead focusing on the taste of her skin. A soft scent of vanilla reaches his nose and he takes a moment to appreciate it and revel in it before moving back up again.
This time he places his hands on her small waist. Oh how delicate and small it is. His hands begin to wander along the sides of her torso, up until they graze against the curves of her breasts. The slight touch elicits a gasp from her and he smiles because he knows she's enjoying it as much as he is.
He'll make it worth it. He'll make her come undone under his fingertips. She'll writhe and moan with the passion that his caresses ignite on her skin.
The only two Walkure members that will not make it to the end is either Mikumo or Freyja.
Chaos members that will die are Chuck and Arad. For Windies, Cassim and Herman.
I honestly wish they would stop focusing on Hayate and Kieth and give us an epic match with the twins vs synchronized hayate and female pilot with burgundy color scheme
I think we are gonna get a Gurren Lagann ending. Freyja gets taken, Hayate and team fight big bad, mindfuckery ensues, Freyja is saved, Hayate and Freyja get married, Freyja dies after wedding ceremony, Hayate walks away and becomes a drifter again.
>Freyja gets taken, Hayate and team fight big bad, mindfuckery ensues, Freyja is saved, Hayate and Freyja get married, Freyja dies after wedding ceremony, Hayate walks away and becomes a drifter again.
>Hayate and Freyja's resonance is thrown out of sync
>Arad suggests that their resonance is based on their bond therefore they should focus on that.
>Kaname says they should go out together on a fun outing. Maybe to the park or the beach. It'll help them spend time and work on their friendship.
>Hayate and Freyja agree. They'll go as FRIENDS.
>Hayate wants it to be a date but doesn't say anything.
>Freyja wants it to be a date but doesn't say anything either.
>It's actually a date.
>Everyone knows it's actually a date but Hayate and Freyja are too dumb and giddy to realize that.
A video of the extra content on the Delta Blu-ray. Mirage has the same question we have all been wondering, which is how the fuck does Mikumo write her signature?
>it just sounds like a voice battle between Mikumo vs Freyja (backed by the rest of walkure).
That's how I tend to see Walkure Attack myself, especially since the first time we hear it it's like Mikumo's attacking the Protoculture ruins with her voice
Yes. It's a lot more original than Frontier. Hayate is better MC than Alto, Freyja is just as, if not, more joyful to focus on than Sheryl, songs are at odds with Frontier's, and the new baddies are a lot more interesting than dumb bugs. Only problem is there isn't as much fighting as Frontier but the character moments make up for it. As you can see from the hoards of shippers here, HayaFrey is pretty damn good ship. Probably the best in the series. The love triangle itself however is horribly one sided and pointless.
Fucking Mikumo, it reminds me of how she used to fuck with Freyja all the time back in the good old days
On one hand they really need to start getting on with the plot like how the war with Windermere will go, and what kind of ancient conspiracy Mikumo was part of, on the other I really want to see another concert, due to just how fun the Cosmic Movement concert was
Maybe after Delta ends that puts Windermere in a unique position to make his Girls Undz Valkyrie he was planning.
Each Macross fleet has an Aerial School
Windermere Knight Academy one of the competitors
Mirage in novel's role is better when compare to anime, not only the "spying" spoiler, also like in episode 2 she punching Hayate's sense changed to she just telling them "don't do this again ok?", and help them to Ranga.
Also her pilot skill is better in novel and feels more like a "nice senpai", though combine it with how she secret call them in novel it feels like that's her mask.
Using singers to screw up your opponents has always been a Robotech favorite tactic. The power of love, and the power of fold wave singers, and the mutual heartlighting, and First Ones portal-temples, and "misplaced where I am", and Love Overcharging- it's all one step after another. It's unlikely that the characters know what's going on, only that stuff's blowing up and people are drawing hearts all over their after-action reports. It's all crazy and I love it. And there's been so much singing that the soundtrack's getting as constant as Robotech Macross.
I have a feeling Mikumo truly will become the final boss. GG didn't do a 100% accurate job of the new ED lyrics.
shigunaru tsutaeteru hijoujitai
datenshi ni naru nante uso mitai dane
>The signals are telling me I'm in a state of emergency
>For me to become a fallen angel... it almost feels like a lie.
Aerial Knights are playable on the Vita game. Now you guys can aim after walkure using Bogue
>Either way one of them will die.
Why? Did any idol ever die in Macross. I don't think so. At most one of them will go on journey across the Galaxy like Sara or Alto. But no one will die.
You really think Sara is alive? That bitch is dead. Also the spin-off manga which Kawamori help to write confirms that Alto/Sheryl are also dead (or in the same location Minmay and Sara are). I have a feeling Basara is also their and Macross Delta will be the first series to connect the timeline through Mikumo, protoculture ruins, and the mysterious disappearance of the Vajra, along with Var suddenly appearing. And he planned kumo during DYRL, and conveniently made everything build up since then? Everything is just way too convenient.
Also i'm curious how will author change episode 8's first half, because in episode 3 when she report to Arad that Hayate refuse to training, she slapped to Arad's desk and the desk got a concave after that.
>You really think Sara is alive?
>Also the spin-off manga which Kawamori help to write confirms that Alto/Sheryl are also dead
The movie confirms they're both alive and Alto is coming back (look at the credits).
>Also the spin-off manga which Kawamori help to write confirms that Alto/Sheryl are also dead (or in the same location Minmay and Sara are).
What? No, they are alive, retard. Kawamori even speaks in the volume 4 of that manga about their future domestic and married life, and how they'll hold on for kids and marriage until Sheryl's 30. He confirms Ranka married someone else before them too.
Possible. If Kawamori is planning to bring back the Megaroad 1 in the future timeline, it could be with some "black hole" time warp scientific theory beyond what the present Macross setting is dealing with.
We only had like 8 episodes left, it's not easy to add this setting without feels sudden, unless her angry look in episode 17&18 is actually about that, that could make it feels less sudden.
I'm not just saying "spying", her overall role is better in novel because she actual have something to do, and side or main character doesn't really matter anymore at this rate.
If the novel is anything to go by, Mina Forte being lady M just shot up in likely hood several orders of magnitude. It's more than just being another person with M in her name
>Mina Forte is Lady M
Not bad, Zuka-chan finally get a new role.
That's what Miragefags said in 2ch Mirage's character thread, even they admit it's better, not to mention for Freyjafags and HayaFre shippers, the novel is even better than anime.
It's a win-win for them.
Yeah, I figured you were the guy that kept looking at 2ch for reference to see how people think.
I'd stop looking at it because a lot of that is either wishful thinking or being delusional. I'll post the details in about 5 to 6 hours from now.
Ends with Lloyd's declaration.
>looking for how most people thinking after read the novel
>wishful thinking or being delusional
You're the one being delusional, no one is unhappy with the novel, how you think is doesn't matter, and Miragefags at this rate is not asking something big for her anymore, and novel simply fulfilled what they asking.
Gramia authorized Roid to used Var and launch the attack in the cluster because he was informed the NUNS had plans to invade Windermere after they finished economically strangulating them with the embargo.
Look, there's one thing having an opinion of your own and there is another thing posting stuff from 2ch. I said I'll post the actual details of what's different in the novels with Mirage. After that, you should judge yourself.
Look, there is already someone in here read the novel and posted details about it, what you thinking is doesn't really matter, also, we already knew Mirage's "spying" is not really spying from yesterday's spoiler, and yes Mirage feels like a side character in the novel(the novel even deleted her description about romance part, we knew that), but this "side" character status is still miles better than "main" character status in anime, that's everyone, including Miragefags agrees, and even general Macross Delta thread in 2ch agree.
Sounds more like you want to post some fake details to destroy the little fun of Miragefags.
Not like it will end up showing in the anime anyway, not sure what's the point of doing that.
She sure did has some kind of admiration toward Arad.
But after the Messer incident and lately Arad becoming more and more shady, who knows?
I assume this anon actual read the novel, problem is, seems like he think he is the only one that read the novel in this world.
Meanwhile, enjoy some of pictures from the anthology.
>The VF-31 has forward swept wings to create a "W" as in "Walküre"
>Only other VFs so far with forward swept wings have a number ending with 9 (VF-9, YF/VF-19, YF-29) and are named after swords (Cutlass, Excalibur, Durandal)
>Walküre -> Var cure
>Raizou Nakajima and Makina Nakajima, both are mechanics
>Pilot has the hots for a green-haired Meltran(?)
Anything else you've noticed?
About the novel, from last thread.
>I read halfway through the novel, and some details are different. When Hayate and Freyja first come to Xaos, and Freyja asks Mirage if there's any way she can take the audition, Mirage reports to Ouroborus research proffesor Blanchette that the requested samples α and β have arrived.
>1. Mirage made arrangements for Freyja to travel to Ragna for the audition.
>After Freyja arrives with Hayate and spots Mirage and asks her to do something about getting her through the preliminaries, Mirage contacts Aisha, who know works at Xaos as a researcher, about the test subjects arriving.
>2. Sometime during Freyja's party, Aisha talks to Hayate and tells him about the value of fold quartz and how people like him who have an affinity for Walkure music are important.
>3. Kaname and Arad are remarking how it's rare for Aisha to venture outside of her lab, but it seems like she's an acquaintance of the mysterious Lady M, but one of them brushes it off because Aisha is also saying nonsense like she knows Basara.
>4. Flashback of Keith resting after his fourth mission of fighting against NUNS drones. He is talking to Lord Aldria, who had participated in the battle over the Vajra homeplanet as a member of SMS and shot down two Lucifers.
>Then an alarm sounds about an unidentified craft, possibly equipped for a bombing run, approaching Carsile, which they then scramble to intercept.
>It's also noted that the first VF that Windermerian had indepedently procured for itself via Epsilon was the Sv-154 スヴァード and that Earth mainly wanted Windermeria's fold quartz supplies.
>5. There are some flashbacks of Hayate's father saying that he is leaving for a while again, and one flashback of him saying Hayate will one day find a reason to live.
>Back home and looked again.
>>Then an alarm sounds about an unidentified craft,
>There was unidentified aircraft with a possible bombing loadout and what the Windies believed to be reinforcements following it
>>find a reason to live.
>It's Hayate remembering what his dad told him about one day understanding the point of living when Freyja was asking him if he was enjoying life.
>Also the average lifespan of the Windies increased after contact with Earth, but Earth set up its own puppet government to make sure they had a monopoly on the fold quartz and other various metals.
>A member of a commission set up by the Earth government after the war made a statement that there had frankly been not one fair trade made by Earth. Three days after making that statement, his body turned up in a river after apparently falling into it while intoxicated. Needless to say, he never drank alcohol in his life.
>This would have made better material for episode 15.
So Freyjafags/Miragefags/Kanamefags/any shippers, how do you think of the novel?
Here you go.
Come on, you know it's the bridge bunnies fault for being delusional.
Kanamefag here, nothing really changes except Xaos company is getting shadier.
Arad is also getting shadier in the anime, which makes me worry if he is going to be part of the bad guys.
If that's the case, he better stay away from my precious Kaneme.
There are always corrupt officials in such a big organization. What matters is how worst it could be. The NUNG branch involved in this Windies war of independence is indeed a grave one which the NUNG decides hide the incident and shove it under the rug. Things can be far far worst if every parts of the galaxy knows about it. Uprising such as the Anti-UN will definitely happen.
Might be one or two greats before grandfather. Dude was already old, and a lot can happen in 60 years.
Oh he's staying well away from her, it's her who's trying to go from him, though after finding out he has quite a few skeletons in his closet, I suppose she's starting to regret her decisions
If he was just hiding some muh not so important millitary secret than I'm fine with it.
But combined with the novel setting, Xaos seems to be experimenting with Hayate and Freyja , Mikumo and even Messer and Arad KNOWS IT ALL ALONG.
You filthy jellyfish dude is experimenting everyone from the start?!
You are the killer of Messer!
Uprisings would be worse once everyone finds out that not only are they fucking over their colonies, but that they'd swept it under the rug, and blamed the Windies for NUNS bringing a nuke into the planet and using GHOSTs against them too
Arad is one fishy character to be honest. Both him and Captain Ernest alike. I'm surprise that no one in the show actually ask who that damn lady M is and they just go on with it without questioning. Is lady M's information consider first class military secret?
>Uprisings would be worse once everyone finds out that not only are they fucking over their colonies
Now in Delta we already have the threat from Windies and that ISIS guy who is pulling the strings behind everything. Uprising will eventually happen, its just a matter of when.
I'm curious how much Mirage knows about the experiments. Instead of jealousy her reactions these past few episodes could be to whatever they're plotting by making Freyja and Hayate resonate.
ISIS Guy is from Epsilon who is from Anti NUNS. They are just taking advantage of NUNS beings fuck ups and corrupted.
Roid seems to refuse to play puppet to any of them. I hope he culls both groups before Keith takes him down. He was the hero he deserved but not the one we needed.
Why would the identity of Lady M be at all important to any of the characters? What possible reason would they have to corner them and ask them about it? You're projecting your own desire to know onto characters that don't really care because its not important.
She's not even a spy. She's just monitoring them for the sake of scientist woman within their very own faction. It's not so much Mirage being a spy as Hayate and Freyja being kept in the dark
>3. Kaname and Arad are remarking how it's rare for Aisha to venture outside of her lab, but it seems like she's an acquaintance of the mysterious Lady M, but one of them brushes it off because Aisha is also saying nonsense like she knows Basara.
It's going to be Myung isn't it?
We still don't exactly know how big is Xaos as a PMC organization and its Leader "Lady M" whereas for Frontier we know quite a lot about SMS. Besides, lady M's involvement in the novels make me wanna question her identity.
My shining light.
