Are there /a/nons who are maladaptive daydreamers due to ani

I was always like that, anime didn't change anything

When I was younger I did it more often. Anime didn't change me.

Is there a way to escape from this? Because it makes me completely unable to live a somewhat normal life and it never goes away. I can't even listen to people because my thoughts are always in some parallel world.

Not really, everyone daydreams to a point, but maladaptive daydreaming is when you can't make yourself to do anything productive because you spend hours and days daydreaming.

I am the same. I realised that I could have a better life if I would have become more conscious about it being a problem when I was younger. If you can try to stop for a month, to escape the homeostasis, maybe.

I'm not sure if I actually do this anymore. I think a lot about entertainment, but not so much about power fantasies or sex (unless I'm about to jerk off).

I know I did this in grade school, but it was sort of a thing to just ignore being in class. I did the power fantasy stuff much more when I was a kid, but I figure that is normal.

Dunno tho, maybe what I do now is still classified as daydreaming, but I'm much less creative about it.

I do sometimes think of weird stuff at weird times, though. I remember biking recently, and suddenly TSF Monogatari came to mind, and thought what it would be like becoming a cumslut...I also think of stories to write (that's kinda my thing), but I never ever quite finish them - I come up with great, hooking concepts but..

This makes time pass so quickly when doing boring activities, though..

That's probably some sorta daydreaming, but it's not maladaptive.
