It just depends on if you like Tomino's quirky style because it has a lot of non-plot oriented shenanigans. And the plot itself isn't as well executed as it could have been. I'll tell you this though, Greco probably has the best girls out of any tomino anime. And great animation all around. I enjoyed the fuck out of it.

Tomino wasn't involved with Wing, but he wrote both Turn A and G Reco. G reco is similar in tone to Turn A in many cases. However Turn A has a much stronger ending and a god tier soundtrack courtesy of Yoko Kanno. Not to say Greco isn't good... Really you have to watch some of it and see what you want. I was taken in by the art direction and animation as well as the overall fun factor of the show.

No because unlike a trainwreck show this is very dull and boring. You'll also get pissed off at the fact that characters do 180's for no real reason, and the plot just gets sloshed about because ?????

0079 will always be the best because of its originality. Make sure to check out The Origin manga which is absolutely brilliant. Outside of what you've seen, G Gundam and Turn A are very much worth a shot. There is a ton of great mecha anime outside of gundam that is worth exploring, too.

Yeah I planned to watch Turn A right after I finish 00, I'm going to finish all of the Gundam anime anyway and get on the on the /m/ classics.
