Thing that kinda ruins re:zero for me is that there aren't any permanent consequences, since any time anything bad happens you know Subaru will just get killed and redo it. I'm hoping that later in the series we get some character deaths or SOMETHING that Subaru can't just time travel out of.

I think the shows characters are all pretty shit and have poor characterization, barely any are likable and their interactions are shit. (Have Rem/Ram and Emelia even spoken to one another?)

The show has really great production values and character designs which make it enjoyable enough, but other than that nothing about it is all that exceptional.

And you're judging Re:Zero as if it has concluded. Can't wait till it comes to an obviously unsatisfying conclusion because you know there is tons of more material to be adapted and the anime will most likely not get a second season because the Blu-rays aren't selling gangbusters. It barely made a huge impact on LN sales as far as I've seen. I highly doubt Whitefox will be able to recoup their losses on making this series even.

And? Something horrible already has happened, either he respawns before that and has a chance to prevent that or he respawns after that and proceeds with moping. Proceeding with moping right away without killing yourself once is worse.
