I haven't watched many sports anime but I just finished the 2nd season of Haikyuu. It doesn't have any story besides "let's practice, let's play, hope we win". And it's not very emotional either. But it was decently fun.

If you don't like Kuroko no Basuke then you officially have shit taste. It's better than many other sports anime like Giant Killing and Haikyuu which are both giant snore fests.

Teekyuu is a good sports anime. Same with ping pong club (different from PP the animation).

Kuroko no Basuke gets more and more unrealistic as the episodes progress. Stay away from it if you want to watch sports anime with more realistic elements.
I enjoyed Kuroko no Basuke though.
