Redemption or Justice?
I bet the drug Ruruka was betrayed with was an aphrodisiac, that's why she called it weird.
Seiko probobly stole a guy she liked with that.
The man dodges gatteling gun fire from military helicopters.
And that he is still outside the building and watching shows that the cast has not been moved from their original location.
>This is still a standing theory
So, does someone have an idea why the whole "tomato sauceahina" was even pulled in the first place? If it was for the shock value for a week, then it wouldn't make sense in terms of the anime.
I'm open to any idea.
The first thing in my head when I see OP's picture.
>tfw another Japanese series you like has gone to shit
Besides finding out Izuru's and the remanants back story with Junko fuck this whole anime project
I love Seiko's mouth. I wanna make love to it
If you are not 6'0 and above you should kill yourself.
You will never satisfy your waifu and are worse than talentless faggots
I want to kiri her giri.
every week she is alive is a good week.
Eternal best girl
The only thing I can think of is that someone tried to protect Asahina by making her seem like she was already dead. Though it creates problems, like, someone else that's not the traitor would have to be awake.
Maybe it's simpler, and the traitor wanted to give Makoto a scare. That'd be a shit reason, but I can see it happening.
This episode had quite a bit of fanservice here and there
We'll also say she's Monaka, right?
Her forbidden action could be to kill at least one person during the time limit. Or actually anyone can be. So she could technically be forced to be the traitor in monokuma's game.
Why didn't he smash through a wall and jump out of the building?
So, it's painfully obvious now that Blacksmith's forbidden action is eating Candy Girl's sweets, right?
I thought it was weird the first time he turned it down, but he hasn't eaten one since they got their bracelets.
Why is Naegi reaching Nagito levels of Hope Speak?
Just as obvious as Munakada not able to open doors?
It was both cool and hilarious how he broke the window that's right next to the door
But anon, there's nothing wrong with not wanting to listen to scum like me singing
he is not... red blood, mean its someone else bodies who got swapped
Yeah, I found it just after posting.
It's weird though - Naegi and Asahina were clearly looking at her then, so it's not like they didn't know she could do it. Makes me think it might actually be an animation slip-up for whatever reason. Naegi and Asahina may be dumb, but they're not dumb enough to completely forget that the one person who's still with them, in a wheelchair of all the things, turned right right in front of them.
I mean, I'm pretty sure people only got that because they rewatched the first episode. Not sure if Hina and Naegi would have remembered that one ocassion where she actually turned right.
There's also the fact that she didn't actually show 'em the bracelet.
Maybe Asahina killed him, but needed to make a coverstory as to why her shirt was stained with gozu's blood so she orchestrated a fake killing
>I'm pretty sure people only got that because they rewatched the first episode.
Not necessarily - I may have slipped up by briefly forgetting about it, but it didn't take me long to remember it again. All it takes for a person to remember that is to like Miaya enough to actually pay attention to what she does from an early stage, and she seems to be popular enough that I can see some people picking up on it from the moment she mentioned her NG code.
I'd definitely say it's likely that they spotted it and remembered it. Even with the sleep session in between, not a lot of time has passed since episode 2's events. You're definitely right about her not showing them the bracelet though.
>I've never realized how handsome you are.
>W-we can't... Naegi will be back any minute now...
Why do people think the machine can do anything other than erasing memories?
I guess that's true. I just bet a little more money in the animators actually getting that kind of details right (which are specially important in an anime like this), than in Hina and Naegi being kinda stupid.
I expect more little details to come up later on. Eg: Kirigiri inspecting the wall and not finding the kunai; the fire extinguisher being empty when Hina tries to use it; Munakata not opening doors. Maybe I'm giving the writers too much credit.
They already have
>death by bullet
>killed by KATANAH
>I just bet a little more money in the animators actually getting that kind of details right (which are specially important in an anime like this), than in Hina and Naegi being kinda stupid.
Yep, I'm sure as hell not counting that out either, especially since, as you said, they've been very careful and thoughtful thus far, but it is a possibility and will probably remain one until we learn more about Miaya. Time will tell.
>death by chain
>there are no chains nor upside down
Despair OP>Future OP
Future ED>Despair ED
>death by blood
Which is exactly why I hope there's a sound explanation for Asahina's tomato sauce accident. I can appreciate the shock value, but if that was all, then that really hurts the show, imo.
Yeah, to me she's more cute in a friendly way than attractive.
Wasn't he tied up? The deaths don't have to literally copy every element of the OP deaths. Bandai comes to mind.
What if Seiko tries to go into overdrive before they all get put to sleep? Could she manage to stay awake if she went berserk like she did today? I mean, she caught and chew the knife Sonosuke threw at her like it was nothing
Go back to the reserve course, scum
The song is garbage how does anyone think it's good?
Must be a meme because muhh Nagito
Did the OP changes every eps? Anyone else notices?
This is going to bankrupt the studio.
Who thought anime where you need to play VN's was a good idea again?
Why are the despair faggots so fucking stupid?
They choose to despair because they love despair, which is a huge contradiction since they aren't feeling despair in the first place. By despairing, they're feeling joy, not the 'despair' they all claim to hate. They love despair, they WANT despair, which is not true despair in the first place.
To feel true despair, they must feel HOPE. Hope will bring them to feel true despair. The true despair they are searching for.
>I will realize Chisa's vision for the future
What did Munakata mean by this? Is Chisa the one who's the leader of the 74th trio?
No, no, no. By feeling the despair they want, they feel joy. And feeling joy is not despair-inducing. So that takes them even farther to his primary goal, which is pure despair.
And that is really despairing.
The end cards at despair ED makes me think we're getting a solid 7 episodes of this SOL crap.
If you're talking about the moment when she turns right, it's this part.
I think they just didn't finish the opening for the first episode. You can tell that this production is a little bit rushed.
Can someone explain why a digital rabbit has to go to sleep even though physical drugs in real life shouldn't affect a digital rabbit and no drug can prevent video cameras on a high tech wheelchair from working?
But feeling more despair will only make them feel more joy since they have been accustomed to that level of despair, they must feel some hope to know true despair.
At their level any amount of despair is just joy inducing.
Probably her real NG code messes that up? Or Gekko and the person talking through Usami are separate participants.
The missing person was hidden inside her wheelchair all along!
It's time to choose
>a digital rabbit has to go to sleep even though physical drugs in real life shouldn't affect a digital rabbit and no drug can prevent video cameras on a high tech wheelchair from working
Probably because this version of Usami is not an AI like the SDR2 one, but rather a very well-developed text-to-speech&animation application. Miaya literally is Usami, and thus when she sleeps, the application sleeps too.
Here you go.
They know what we like
It's probably like Stephen Hawking's wheelchair thing, all Monomi does is give a visual representation of what Miaya says, I don't think it has a "mind" of its own like the one from DR2
If so, then if Miaya goes to sleep, so does Monomi
LITERALLY THE OLDEST TRICK IN THE BOOK
that's not even possible and it still hurts my heart
Think though: You can pick ONE team to join:
Despairs (Mukuro, Junko, any character who died in the second game (excluding Chiaki), etc)
or Hope (Survivors of both game and Chiaki and Sakura). Maybe we can put FF into, but it might not balanced then.
But Junko's the one he wanted to save.
Why did best dude have to die? Also it's weird to me how little of a fuck they're giving when people die. Like when afro dude died last episode no one cared at all.
Both of despair's songs are better I'd say
They'd better have a good explanation for it. I'm sure there will be but still right now it's so silly.
Exactly. I thought that it was pretty obvious
Eh, Asahina being the traitor would be completely out of left field, but if they tie it into Yuta / Monaca, then... Maybe?
Or she was only the killer for that round if there's multiple killers. Where the fuck did they even get a toy knife and tomato sauce? I didn't see any in that room.
Man, I like both of the OPs. Future's gets me properly on edge with all the deaths, and Despair's has that subtle edge of wrong to it while still being cool as fuck
and Mukuro is in it
What 2ch rumors?
No such thing
Especially in Dangan Ronpa
>They literally made Mirai-hen's blood red just to pull the Asahina scare off
>They literally pulled the scare off just to give us Asahina's glorious boobs in a top
I'm not even mad, but it would've been cool if they went a little meta and had gone with pink blood and used Pepto Bismol instead of Ketchup or some shit like that
Good point. I suppose another possibility is that her jacket was used for something and then for whatever reason it was used for it got dirty so the tomato? I feel like the tomato sauce was used to mask something or other, and the knife was there to make it look like there was some other reason there was a stain.
Instead of investigating multiple mysteries, they are probably just going to try to solve the mystery all at once. It's a more fitting format for an anime, so I'm not really bothered.
How many people are on the Student Council? Do we have an exact number because checking case 6 again Junko says Izuru killed 13 people. Which would be 14 people total. And since all the other setups have been 15-16 people... could it be Chiaki is there, giving us 15 people and is the first to die, protecting Hajime/Izuru and that's what makes him snap?
Eh, you really shouldn't bother. It was a great game, but ZTD ruined it.
There are three survivors of the first game: Junko Enoshima, Izuru Kamakura, and the council president, who is killed by Junko's lover. If Chiaki is there, she dies, so this could work.
We actually get the exact number in Danganronpa/Zero. Izuru wasn't in the Student Council, Junko just decided to rope him into the game. 13 people died, one person managed to make it out alive and was killed later, and Izuru also survived. There was also 1 student council member that was not in the game, The Super Duper High School Level Bodyguard. So that makes 15 people in total in the Student Council.
The people who don't like Asahina's fake death need to recognize that it's part of an overarching plot point. They literally had the very striking and well known pink blood changed to red just so they could pull off the crazy tomato trick.
This WILL come into play later.
Also, I don't appreciate you guys trashing my waifu. She is incredibly attractive and likeable. If you disagree you're most likely one of the faggots who think Katana edge man and Boxer edge man are doing the right thing.
The 13 were confirmed dead. The one guy who did survive was comatose, so if their search was pretty detailed. Chiaki dies.
Way to spoil it you little
nah I knew the twist already but am still not done DR0
I've heard both that VLR was awful, that it was great, that ZTD was great and now you tell me ZTD ruined it.
Good or bad, I need to see it through. All I want is some Clover fanservice.
different person here
VLR was great, coming from someone who hadn't played 999 before. ZTD was really bad story-wise, but i'm not someone who feels like games can be ruined by their sequels. play VLR it kicks ass
>worst girl is alive again for no reason
>best boy is dead
So this is what despair tastes like.
Well, Clover never shows up after VLR and she's a totally different person while she's in it. VLR is also easily the best game in the series; blows 999 out of the water in every capacity.
Depends on how long after DRAE this takes place. He could still be getting out of Towa.
Place your bets.
>Chiaki is killed by Izuru
>Chiaki dies protecting Izuru and he loses it
>Chiaki is alive and is Miaya, on the side of Hope
>Chiaki is alive and is Miaya, on the side of Despair
That would require deliberately misleading narrative since we see Weedman outside the original building still.
Or they managed to move them without Weedman noticing for some reason.
So is Weedman being counted as one of the 16 still? Or is there someone else inside the building we don't know about like Monaca.
Or Delta because life is unfair and fuck you it's time for COMPLEX MOTIVES.
she makes my heart go doki doki
I want to go with #2 because #1 seems too straight forward to me.
It'd also be a nice way to tie together the two different accounts on "Izuru killed everyone" and "They killed each other." Chiaki ends up dying in the killing game and Izuru reacts by killing every other participant.
I've also heard that, that Clover is pretty different in both games. Eh, glad enough she appeared.
It's curious how the opinions about the different games are so different. A friend of mine absolutely loves 999 and hated VLR. I think I'll like all of them.
Took me forever, but I realized it was a joke about men height. How anything under 6 is manlet level.
Fuck, I'm stupid, but to be fair, every chart we post related to this series is full of nonsense.
>Left out cute
Amazing as she is though she'll never take the "Best Girl" title from Kyoko
Another thing that isn't clear. He doesn't have a bracelet, so he's not part of the game at all. But we only see that thing in the OP, so there's no reason to think it's relevant. Could be a subtle clue or nothing at all.
Well, Izuru isn't completely perfect. After all, he fell into despair and got caught in the first Mutual Killing. So there might be a situation where he needs to be protected.
LISA NEEDS BRACES
I think it's definitely setting up a 16th participant twist. I really don't think the 16th is Togami, though. There would be no reason to hide him this long. Monaca or GhostJunko, however...
Probably so the mastermind can schlick it to Naegi's despair face and emotional whiplash. It's possible there's an additional reason that we don't have enough context for yet, like for example if the killer wanted to be found out for some reason, they might be leaving a clue in their methods.
She doesn't have a graduating class unlike the other characters leaving an open background, and has a mysterious appearance which closely enough resembles Chiaki and Monaca to open the floodgates.
I'm personally wagering on her being unconnected to them though.
It's kinda clear via many things
>Kiiiinda looks like her
>Both are perfection
>She won't speak so we don't know her voice
>Mysterious background (we don't know which year she is)
>you will never get your foreskin stuck in Seiko's braces
>you will never feel her ride you like a rodeo bull
Asahina is cute.
Think about it though, if it was the traitor then it's a sign that they could've killed Aoi or really anybody else and were even present to do so, but opted not to.
No idea what it would mean, though.
Despair arc will cover it, you don't have to read
>Be Junko brainwashed named Ryouko
>Have Izuru kill the student council
>He's on the run and being kept safe by the board of administrators
>Board of administrators along with the ultimate bodyguard octlet gets killed by Mukuro
>Matsuda tries to get rid of despair in Junko/Ryouko by manipulating messages in her notebook as she forgets everything every day.
>Matsuda tries to interrogate the ones survivor who tries to kill him when he goes a bit too far, Matsuda just kills him instead and moves on with reading manga and calling people talentless shits
>Matsuda fucks up and wears an Izuru wig when his research is near done and gets stabbed by Ryouko who turns into Junko
Oh and somewhere along the line Matsuda helped creating Izuru and the Neo World Program.
>could have made Chiaki not real, truly just an AI
>explains why she looks like Chihiro
>makes her actually quite interesting
>They make her real
>she is confirmed in love with Hajime and they give birth to two beautiful children
Hmm, there's no shot of Chiaki yet from the same angle as Miaya in the Ep1 OP, and they've now completely silhouetted her starting in Ep2's OP.
I'm pretty sure she's dead in the Student Council killing game, but after that ruse with Aoi...
Wouldn't be the first miracle associated with her.
>we didn't believe in his luck
>we thought he killed asahina with death flags
Couldn't stop laughing when I started up the episode, thanks Kodaka. I'm not even mad that it's cheap.
Hang on let me talk some more shit:
This is my post, now let's move on to where the Neo World Program kicks in.
The Neo World Program was created by Matsuda/Chihiro and Maiya. So let's count that up, there wasn't despair yet during DR:0's start and everyone continued with their shit.
The killings were kept hidden by Jin Kirigiri, even the board of administrator deaths and the entire student council, as Junko couldn't perform the 2nd step of her plan to corrupt Hope's Peak right there after it (due to the brainwashing by Matsuda). Given this there were 4 people who knew what happened and the rest still continued on their daily school life (Matsuda/Junko/Mukuro/Izuru).
That a bit better? Everyone lived their lifes as it was all being kept secret by Jin Kirigiri and what was left of the board of administrators.
I really hope Chiaki is dead and stays dead.
I like the character, but I'm sure it'd undermine so much of SDR2 if she was around. I want the survivors to accept their losses and their mistakes and move past it, without redemption or reward.
>The Neo World Program was created by Matsuda/Chihiro and Miaya.
Wait, just to be on the safe side, did its development start after the first killing game? If so, there's enough room for an asspull there.
It was such a convincing fake death too. It just makes so much sense to kill off a DR1 cast member at that point in the show. Not to mention Aoi said literally everything to get herself killed.
Chiaki managing to reach beyond death to save Hajime and the rest of her friends would be pretty touching in my opinion.
The first killing game? You mean the Student Council one?
Nah it probably wasn't during that period as Matsuda was permanently busy with trying to cover up everything Junko/Ryouko/Mukuro did in order to get the despair out of her as she was his only true friend. It wasn't even love, or well, it was from her side, but he saw it as the only person he could turn to as it's given that they knew each other since toddler time.
So yeah, it was before the start of that one. They can't asspull it, unless they ignore what they written down in DR:0 as canon.
It's quite obvious they've fallen to despair, but haven't realised it. They think they're doing the right thing in order to eliminate despair, but are actually breeding it inside themselves.
I did like his little speech with Naegi, I know he's acting emotional because his waifu is dead, but it's too overblown for someone as smart as him in my opinion. That talk gave him some logical reasons for wanting to kill Naegi. He fears his SHSL ability and what he could do for the Despairs. I'd be wary of someone who convince people to do whatever they want too.
Just my 2 cents, but I couldn't remember for the life of me whether she had turned right or not, that's not something any normal person is going to remember unless they're already looking for it.
I think is started before. Matsuda was busy taking care of Junko, and the book always takes about how he almost never leaves the biology lab, so I think that it was before the first killing game.
I think it can be done right. For example, maybe Chiaki fell to despair and is now executing revenge on some persons as the new mastermind. Or whatever, there's literally tons of possibilities to not make it a cliche happy ending.
I also don't think it'd undermine DR2. It's already pretty tragic that they don't remember virtualChiaki.
I swear to God if this shit ends with LOL ZERO ESCAPE CROSSOVER and they morphotime travel back to stop Junko from ever doing anything...
How can anyone compete with this
>Saionjifags need not reply
Jokes aside, pretty sure that this is suppose to be a big clue. Probably that the killer didn't have the heart to kill Asahina or something.
Mastermind is the 16th participant and Makoto's son from the future
Also Junko was secretly a good guy preventing an even worse tragedy
>Breaking fortune balls and wanting to see her fortune balls to see his own future.
Months after Izuru Kamukura project began, the despairs ran into the academy in small group
The novel started with after "The tragedy of Hope's Peak" just ended, 13/15 students council was killed
The main MC's name is Ryouko, a red hair girl that always forgetting things. So she needs a notebook to write down things to remember (and she sometimes doesn't want to remember someone or something for reasons, so she wouldn't write down).
There are times we see her together with Naegi or Kyouko, but she doesn't remember, and ys, her POV can't be trusted
She always remembers a guy, named Matsuda, her doctor, and also her lover.
The main thing is Ryouko sometimes see Junko walking in her room, and at one day, Junko revealed 3 of her objectives to Ryouko:
1. Discover everything about the tragedy of Hope's peak
2. Converting Izuru into despair side
3. Killing Matsuda
Of course, Ryouko is against Junko. She tried to investigate, and failed in the end
In the end, we realized Ryouko is just a "just created" another personality of Junko, created by Matsuda, to test the memory erasing skills
Junko's plan was completed in the end. She killed Matsuda after she remembered. Ryouko disappeared and never came back. Izuru was converted into the bad sided. The last student council ( who didn't die in the tradegy of HP) became mad and died
Izuru project got shut down. Tons of Monokuma robots were built. Despair was all over Hope Peak to prepare for the next step
Even if you were satisfied with the way things ended in DR2, and I was, it's not unreasonable to hope for a slightly better ending.
You have a chance to make one standing fan theory from the series true, which one do you pick?
what part of these fake-looking tits look fake?!
Despair wasn't all over Hope's Peak my man. It happened after Matsuda died and Junko got her full memory back. Izuru's project didn't get shut down either. Izuru was a succesful project and it started off with him going despair and killing the entire student council. The last one was killed by Matsuda with a scalpel in a movement of self-defense.
It was more Matsuda trying to get despair out of her brain and he was succeeding until he made her remember Izuru by wearing a wig.
>Junko is the ZE fanatic that kills 8 billion people.
Not for it to actually come up in the show, just because it would be a neat little background thing. Plus my
dream crossover of Junko torturing Akane can come true
I just love Junko and all her sexiness, so seeing her again would be amazing
>takes over one of the busty cuties
>makes them strip down to their skimpy to represent her better
Please make this happen
i will literally laugh my ass off.
So easy, seeing as there are 1000s related to Chiaki, even if they make no sense.
Some version of Chiaki lives and is happy.
But if I need to be more serious... Izuru doesn't kill Chiaki
Junko is into bimbofication confirmed
I dunno, it wasn't too far removed. Murders and kidnappings happen on like a daily basis in Zero. The parade was already in full swing. The reserve department was already being brainwashed.
I would say Naegi has a chance of dying. If I had to guess it would involve Naegi and the katana guy both shooting each other to help the others live on with hope or something.
So in other words it's exactly what's going to happen.
Real question, why was Chisa the only one who got a scene on despair episode with her watching in a cinema her own death? Why didnt Bandai get a scene like that?
And why are we probably not be going to get another one like that and only Chisa will have one?
Fuck, I really dont want such an obvious twist to happen and Chisa be alive or something, at least make her not be the mastermind and we would end up with someone to save Naegi next episode too.
OK, there seems to be a bit of confusion. Yes, you are correct that despair wasn't all over Hope's Peak. But their was a lot of despair already there, as we saw tons of Reserve Course students wearing Monokuma masks in the basement of the Reserve Department. Also, the Izuru Kamukura Project was "shut down" officially, but that was just something that Hope's Peak said in order to cover up the existence of Izuru. Matsuda didn't kill the last Student Council member in self defense, he strangled him in order to protect Junko. Also the memory wipe already started to fade before Matsuda pretended to be Izuru, as her memory started getting much better even before she entered the Old School Building.
I should let you fend for yourself but eh whatevs
Chisa gets the scene because her plotline connects the two sides, and it's supposed to remind you that you're meant to be watching them together and applying information between them.
Mikan until she becomes Despair
If you don't pay attention to Mahiru, you might be a fucking idiot who puts her here (She doesn't deserve it).
Hiyoko: Looks like shit
Can't imagine anyone else
This. Pulled a total 180 on this guy and couldn't stand him by chapter 5.
Justice cannot be served to the remnants any more, not after they have ceased to be Ultimate Despair
Any non-retarded justicefag should be able to realize this; killing them before SDR2 is justified. Now it would be petty murder
>pool of blood
mods can we stop the shark poaching please
I just don't understand why they went with this design for such a well designed character.
That's just more to love
the idea of an Ultimate Gambler "Queen of Liars" in the context of a killing game seems interesting
I'm unsure if it actually could be interesting though, but Celeste certainly wasn't
His personality was 50/50
Lose the thirsty and he is literally the bro incarnate.
>invites you to check out babes
Seriously, he invites YOU
>makes the minimaru for the heartbroken people
>always helps you assholes out
Is it just me, or was the green color remeniscent of the color of the soup they used in Despair Side EP2?
I'd like to keep these parallels going even though it seems Despair side is about to get rolling.
Yup, they happened but everything was hidden by all the higher-ups. The parade and reserve course was indeed being brainwashed, but that only appeared at the start of the LN. Actually screw that I forgot about the basement part.
Because the reserve course noticed how Hajime suddenly got removed. Besides that, it's a hoist by their own petard. You strife for an Utopia, but there's always those that want to join that Utopia and can't. That's what happened and Junko just worked on that, most likely along with Izuru. However that took full fruition after the LN as Junko was back in action.
Fuyuhiko's sister wasn't in there either. Give it like 3-4 episodes and he'll show his face.
Here you go: http (://) puu (dot) sh (slash) qeJiZ (slash) c3d4fa475a (dot) pdf
Oh yeah, the despair was definitely already there. But what I read from most is that they are overestimating the magnitude of the despair, the real despair kicked in after Matsuda died and Junko regained a full 100%. It was the false information that was planted by Matsuda, that was countered by Ikusaba and Matsuda then again thinking it was going better. But he fucked that up and he knew he was going to die.
Wasn't it just declared as a success, but not recognized by everyone? I thought it was self-defense as he flew at him after Matsuda mentioned Junko's name, it sparked a reaction up in what's-his-nuts and he flew at him. I'll have to reread it one of these days.
100% about that Naegi is the true ultimate despair.
>trembling while saying this
