I would recommend anime => manga => LN, otherwise the anime feels rushed and empty.

Manga largely follows the anime and its edits, but adds a bit more supplemental material.

Albedo and Mare do not exist. Ainz spends a lot more time in the Tomb and is not as likeable a person as he is in the LN. Maruyama dwells a lot more on stats as well.

It's interesting for supplemental material, but bringing it up in a discussion of the LN/manga/animu basically makes you sound like a tryhard.

From what I know, it really depends on the series.
It's like there's absolutely no quality control and as it's done for a paycheck, not love, there are some translators who are happy doing a bad job an letting it go to market.
Someone posted examples before and it was worse than "English is being second language" translators with no editors doing manga speed-translations on the internet.

That is accurate to what is written the LN, but it seems to be a continuity error by Maruyama because it is not borne out at all by anything else other than that particular scene. Are you saying the raw text 倾城倾国 literally means Ruinous Beauty over Downfall of Castle and Country? Because given how Hyou Yi was also based off Chinese folklore, I don't know what to assume. On one hand the WCI is dev made, so maybe they wouldn't make it after a historical poem subject. On the other hand, it is Yggdrasil, and there's plenty of mythological references out the ass.

Otherwise, we'd have to localize the other thousands of references made in Overlord. What's Hyou Yi going to be? Sun Shooter? What about Albedo's bio? How would that work? Western people probably know House of Flying Daggers more than Empress Wu Zetian.

I don't know, maybe it's just me but I've always been one to believe that names are kinda important in that you should try to keep them as original as possible because it's an identity thing.

Both were prominent and popular fan translators that worked on One Piece for the community for awhile, before getting hired.

As for the FE translations, I can only tell you to either go to /v/, /feg/ in /vg/, or Google. The only reason I even know about it was cause I really was considering buying a 3DS for FE Fates but the massive shit storms during release kinda curbed my desire.

I don't know about any LGBT, but I do know they basically neuter the game whether it's replacing features like headpats to changing dialogue to removing dialogue.
