Yes. It was not a happy day. That's why I'll always preorder a figure to be safe, and then cancel the order if it's pretty clear that the quality will be shit or, worst case scenario, sell it on MFC after I've bought it from the retailer. I might lose a little money selling it secondhand, but as long as it's still NIB, people are generally willing to pay almost full price for it.

So as the Wonfes hype dies down if I may ask a question.

With my loli bride I got Saturday I got a 29 page booklet in Japanese. It seems to be a side story to go along with the figure. Maybe it's about why she's in a wedding dress? I'm not sure, I don't read moon.

She's wearing a wedding ring which is 10/10 right there.

Her necklace moves a little but her bracelet does not. I don't like the way her fingers are fused, especially her thumb and forefinger looks sloppy. Her veil does a good job of covering any seams in her hair, she is not at all derpy like I thought she was in the photos. A lot of that had to do with poor angles for photos.

Different anon here who also has one. It looks good and I'm satisfied with the quality, although it doesn't particularly stand out in my collection. I'm pretty sure I didn't get the special edition version, but I got a little booklet, so I think it's standard issue. It's just a little black and white pamphlet. I haven't taken the time to bust out the dictionary and read through it, but I assume it's a side story that explains why she's in a wedding dress.

The main negative for me is that it's a pretty large size figure, so it's awkward to pose next to other figures. Momo and Mea in this picture are supposed to be 1/6 scales and therefore larger - also, they are high schoolers and not elementary schoolers - but Tomoka is supposed to be a 1/7 scale. With the proportion of head size to body and given how tall she is, she looks a little bit like a giant alien with balloon head, although that's common even with the other Ro-Kyu-Bu figures I have seen. The other negative is that the flared, biggest part of her wedding dress is very low in detail. You have relatively thick, solid white/pinkish plastic piece with simple border pattern stamped into it, and then a semi-transparent all smooth plastic piece over that. There's not any details to the fabric, like stitching, frills or wrinkles; hence, why I say that while a good figure, it doesn't stand out when compared to other, similar figures.

Is it just me, or was this wonfes really disappointing? I dunno, when it comes to figures lately I'm just getting bored with the same dozen poses and dumb character designs, even if they're sexy and well made. Hell, I sold off most of my collection lately.

It's like, what's the point of having so many waifus crowd your shelf if they're not visually interesting? I think figures should be treated like statues, they have to be fundamentally "nice" to look at in terms of composition, instead of just having a body and a good sculpt. Like you can look at it and say, man, that is a joy to look at. I'd rather have a tiny handful of expensive as fuck, eye-catching pieces rather than a gallery of waifu shelf warmers I probably forgot I even bought.

Stuff like those Alter LL figures, with the dynamic posing and fantastic costumes, or that Bake doll figure, or that FMA thing. Everything just looks so bland and dull.
