It's the pinnacle of 'good ideas done poorly'. And no it isn't the deconstruction of a genre, don't let people tell you that. It isn't really bad either though. I'd only recommend seeing it if you're already craving some isekai or time loop.

I normally despise CG, probably because they sully mecha with it, but I find it kind of funny and even endearing in this show. I don't think they've ever actually shown an interaction with any of the weirdo aliens in the marketplace. It's like the CG is intentionally supposed to make clear they're distant and alien and outside the main narrative.
