Did everyone forget the BD is out in just 5 days? Sure, we'll have to wait another week and a half minimum to get subs but it's the release we've been waiting years for!
They won't do it, their TL quit.
This'll be the first time I'm gonna watch Aniplex's subs for Monogatari since the first few eps of S2. I really hope they put their A-team for the movie.
Because she's drawn by Maria holic's artist now
In the movie she looks ok but promo arts are fucking terrible.
>trying to look as dignified as possible while asking for head pats
It's almost good but they fucked up her facial structure and gave her a giraffe neck.
>That cgi background.
The Misfortune of Kissushotto Shinobu
how fucking new are you? alot of major releases already have subs on them. like madoka movie for one. pretty much any theatrical release that aired overseas comes with subs on the jp bd
Who's ready for a break from the kawaii donut loli interpretation when parts 2 and 3 show Kiss-Shot being straight-up beautiful?
They're leggings. There's a difference.
I'd really like to have watched this for the first time with all the parts as one big movie. The built-up anticipation for the next part just can't last through a six month gap.
It can if you've waited through years of "KIZU NEVER."
I've reread Kizu twice since the first movie came to the states - and will do so at least once more prior to the second's arrival.
I have waited through years of kizu never and read both the fan translations and official translations multiple times. I'm going to watch it and enjoy it, but there's a thread of fresh anticipation and excitement that doesn't keep very well.
it's only an hour, it's not like seeing your favorite childhood book stretched out into an unholy 48fps abomination of a trilogy that brought a grown man to tears while being forced to partake in its creation
>watching a movie
>not with a dick in your hands
>in the same room where bunch of noisy smelly plebeian normalfags are who clearly don't give a shit about "lol weeb shitshow I just came here cuz muh gf watches this shit xD"
>not able to rewind back and fap to Shinobu's shinobus
Kizu shinobu might be one of the most genuinely beautiful lolis I have ever seen.
The movies are doing a pretty good job of doing her justice.
I'll finally be able to get a real screencap of this glorious smug.
Unfortunately I've never seen any of this show...does anybody have an updated watch order chart? What is the best way to watch each season
Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari Kuro, Second Season...
Owari takes place during second season, so it might be worth watching it right after SS.
Tsuki should be watched after Owari/SS
Koyomi takes place all over the place, but should be watched after Tsuki.
Hana is kind of give or take. It's not pertinent to watch it right away - it takes place long after tsuki/koyomi/owari.
Airing order, but here's a timeline of the actualy events
I've seem some talk about how Yozakura Quartet should be watched out of airing order. So I guess the idea of a fan watch order isn't completely crazy, but anime is released in specific order for a reason.
>you will never nuzzle Kisshot's kisshots
I don't care what anything says. I'm going to believe that he took the chance in Owari 3 and performed a level two obedience ritual with Kiss-Shot.
Man, I really need to read the novels one of these days
I'd rather watch it raw. Since SHAFT removed most of the internal monologue even the most retarded guy on this board should understand at least 25% of the dialogue. You most certainly won't even need them since everyone and their mother has already read it.
In the novels he
spends a good portion of an arc pressed up against Shinobu in full Kiss-shot mode's tits while Gaen monologs to himSo I imagine he's been holding back a lot.
All these plebs not watching it in theater.
>not getting tasty burger to go along with your anime film
>Release order, always
>Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari, Nekomonogatari Kuro, Second Season...
The problem with watching this in airing order is that, for certain seasons, the different releases use different episode numbering (to avoid including recap episodes), and some releases totally split up various seasons into their various arcs (see: Coalgirls). I watched everything in release order, but when I go back to re-watch it, I have no idea what I'm doing. The anime itself jumps around in time so many times that there is no continuity.
During Kizu? Araragi is too perpetually panicked and intimidated to think much about it. He does drop some spaghetti as Kiss-Shot grows up, but he's still too overwhelmed by the situation. However, six or more months down the line and he's in full denial mode to restrain himself and his narration occasionally slips into talking about how much he wants to kiss her.
>close your porn
Then how would I watch Monogatari?
One of my biggest regrets in moving away from Boston. I'll be visiting it next month and I plan to order a sack just for myself.
>Figuring out the timeline is easy as hell
I'm planning to rewatch the entire series in chronological order later this year, and I don't think I'd be able to piece it together without a cheat sheet, or a lot of time to spare. I don't think watching each arc for a date drop and then comparing all the dates afterward is really "easy as hell".
>didn't get any nice coasters
I went all the way downtown to see this movie. Even dressed up as Oshino. I just had to have the Shinobu poster. I was so excited to get the next 2 and frame them all but now I hear the second movie might not be getting released in theaters here
>the second movie might not be getting released in theaters here
Is this a ruse?
There was a list for part one that was released on the official website here http://kizumonogatari-usa.com/theater.html
These theaters were selected probably at least 6 months before release. The fact that the US website hasn't been updated to the new movie/ showtimes isn't looking good.
Plus there was a thread saying that it didn't make enough here and that parts 2 and 3 might go straight to BD but I never thought I'd get to see loli Shinobu on a big screen so I'm not really sure of anything anymore.
Oh if you mean where I actually went it was here
I was considering dressing up as Araragi for my showing but I backed out. You've done what I couldn't Senpai.
You know on second thought it probably is hard especially since Owari has to take place during second season. Not only just during it, but it's first arc takes place after it's second.
There were shitposters saying that it wasn't setting box office records in Japan so it's a failure. However, the American screenings pretty much all sold out and made theaters double or triple the number of showings.
I hope nisio inserts a novel between nadeko medusa and hitagi end that's purely between the couple, I mean, they're under the impression that they're living their last days, might as well make it an adventure, right?
I went to one of the screenings but the theater was extremely small, they ran out of posters beforehand, and the crowd was full of disinterested normalfags. It didn't help that I was by myself.
It also cost around $15, which felt like way too much for a ~30 minute film. The movie was pretty good, but I'm okay with not having any more screenings here if they're going to be a repeat of that experience.
Not even close to true.
They were the best for Second Season and arguably Hana, but the guy who did those quit and Tsuki onwards went back to them having average at best translations with excellent editing and other groups were thus arguably better.
Pre-SS a shitload pf different groups have the best subs for each ova/season.
>The character commentary for Kizu 1 is Kisshot 10 years old and Oshino Meme
That sample sounded great
Oh I went there. It was a nice small crowd. Very enjoyable. I'm sure part 2 will come. Can't wait to rewatch part 1 though.
How fat would shinobu be if she didn't have vampire powers?
I don't know man, even when I went to see it there was a middle age couple there that just looked confused. I figure these people are just going to go to these unique showings regularly or as a date or something and expect to see some art.
That's weird, my theater, over in Chicago, was packed with hardcore fans of the series. At least people who didn't like the first movie likely aren't going to show up to see the second one.
Comic book nerd dating some normalfag anime girl.
> "Anime movie about vampires playing downtown. Let's go!"
The dude is probably now pedocurious and the girl sat there thinking "this isn't like Twilight meets Ouran Host Club."
>Live in Boston
>Want to go see the movie
>Tickets sold out
>Go on 4chan
>Saw an anon post that they accidentally bought extra tickets for the Boston showing but didn't have any plans to give them away
>even commie is dying
so fansubbing is dead for real this time?
I would never use this glass but I want it anyways.
>commie is dying
>fansubbing is dead
Actually it's the exact opposite, fansubs will now breathe new life and bring us back from the brink. Commie was the cancer killing fansubs.
Saw Kizu in Denver, theater was packed. Everyone was respectful and the few people we talked to there were super cool.
I don't know about the other US theaters, but my impression was that the movie did pretty good over here.
>Right in the middle between the LA showing and the San Diego showing
>tfw no car
>people seemed to be genuinely having fun
I fucking missed out hard.
>fucking your sisters
This is just sick, man. They already have each other.
