Of all the routes it's the closest to Sayaka's. if you hated Sayaka's route (and from what people on here have said, many think it's the worst) then you probably won't enjoy Ootome's outside of some of the 10 Warrior interactions. There's been no character progression for the guys ever since Agave and the other guys haven't changed one bit, they aren't getting girls for the exact same reason they didn't get them 7 years ago and because of the whole multiple route system works, they aren't going to get any in anything but a major time skip. Azumi's route was really the last chance they had at scoring somebody

Every character should have flaws. That doesn't preclude them from doing anything. There's plenty of stories where the maturation comes after the relationship, and that makes for an interesting take too.

But even earnest characters, like Gen or Hideo, get nothing either. To be fair, that's understandable. The minute you add in a pretty girl that MC CAN'T fuck, the community goes into an uproar.

Nor do I care for one of these characters to be the protagonist. It could be someone new. The point is that the universe is interesting, and it'd be nice to see it through someone else's eyes for once.

Hume took his time and taught her a bunch of techniques. He also intentionally drew out the fight in order to help her learn them. He also made it clear early on in S that his strength was primarily based around instantaneous fighting and that the longer a fight lasted the weaker he'd become.

That wasn't a fight about defeating Momoyo, it was about helping her grow - if he'd been serious she would have been defeated in the first minute.

I think Haou could defeat Momoyo, assuming that she had combat training - she's one of the strongest characters in the series (one of the only ones to get Hume's approval) and that's with absolutely zero training or combat knowledge. If she even just had some half-assed training she'd probably be a decent match for Momoyo. And with serious training she'd have the capability to defeating Momoyo.

In S onward that side of her has quietened down a bit with Tsubame and the job of filtering out Yoshitsune's challengers keeping her mostly satisfied, she still hungers for a good fight it's just no longer at a risk of becoming a problem any time soon.

Momoyo and Haou would end up in a tie for the most part, though I would probably give Momoyo the slightly better chance for victory. If their training and skill were equal, I think Momoyo's love of fighting would let her win a little more often than Haou.

In her own route, she feels disappointed that Yamato isn't living up to the childhood promise and skips possessiveness (there isn't a situation that demands it since he is focused on her) straight to love when he defeats her.

She has no problems with Yamato being with Yukie, Miyako or Chris, almost none with Wanko.
