I'm really surprised nobody has attempted a translation, its one of most fun tv anime from that era
I don't think anyone watched this back in the day
Did anyone actually watch that Iron Man anime? Because I did. All of it. It was pretty poop
I think only SEAfags even know this one, and even then only because of Animax. It was pretty obscure even back in the day.
I don't know why but I have this thing where I can always find the most obscure and obscenely terrible shit.
Leif. And the Grey Guards threw small exploding projectiles called Blisters, filled with the poison fro Gellick the Toad.
Got the entire first series on my shelf right now, senpai. So fucking good.
Spiral Suiri no Kizuna.
Read the manga when I was younger and thought it was great. Apparently the anime has a unique ending.
Loved it back then, I tried rereading it recently and it seemed really bad so I don't know if I would recommend it.
>Genetically modified humans fit for living in space that are basically elves space opera with NisioIsin-lite amounts of general dialogue
and i kind of like it
I wish more people cared about Dokkoida
Watched it...man, I don't even know how many years it's been.
I remember the kid with the clover tattoo got his master's old spirit thing and went crazy, then he hooked up with some cute girl.
And didn't the princess want to be a bird or something?
Gonna go binge it.
Ehhh I forgot most of it but i do remember it (to me) felt very well written with the character development and more. Will most likely re-binge watch it later due to having some other animes needing to watch. Glad to find someone else who watched the show. The anime is for sure worth binging again.
Any Sadamitsu nigs in the house?
More anime should have mariachi openings
No, these threads are better with shitty forgotten seasonal shows and not generic "artistic" wankery from rec charts that are trying too hard
It was on toonamijetstream.com when I was a kiddo, so I'm probably not the only one, but it always kinda feels like it
I guess you meant figuratively only you watched
its just a small following who watched this
Australian reporting in.
-ABC fucking loves to repeat this shit
-Amazingly it's made by OLM, the same company behind Pokemon and the monsters look like shit in this series
-I like how they adapted the puzzles for Japanese speakers
-Fight scenes look like one guy running into a brick wall continuously.
-Where did Jasmine get those high heels? Is that what Grey Guards wear?
-They should adapt every series but the new Star of Deltora which is pretty dull as it's hard to care about the seafaring trade in the book.
Honestly I liked Flame of Recca better
I mean the anime probably could been a lot better and was cancelled before getting to the good parts but the manga was great.
At least I hope so. God forbid anyone else finished this steaming pile of shit.
come to /m/ sometime. we'll talk about it for days
I feel like people have watched it but nobody wants to talk about it for some reason
I remember reading the first couple chapters of the manga a long time ago, all I can remember from it was him helping this girl look for a sword, and at the end of the chapter him eating the last screw at it coming out as some giant sword of damocles piece of shit that worked once then broke
I watched it pretty often back when I had the Funimation channel. Read the manga all the way through too. Boy was that later half fucking dumb with all the clone shit. Rio a best.
the only anime that has legitimately made me laugh
The only thing going for it was a good ending ost.
Only two eps, but still a lot of fun.
Best part is how the dub just doesn't bother translating a lot of the specifically-Japanese jokes. Really, joke dubs on the whole are usually pretty fun, such as Digimon as a mild example and Duel Masters in an extreme
More people need to see this, it's a ridiculous 6-part OVA presumably funded by someone who didn't care about profits and just handed Mamoru Oshii a fat stack of yen and told him to have fun. It's self-aware drama/comedy that's a running homage to musical theater and film, really neat but definitely for a limited audience.
I couldn't get past the first few episodes of this, is Red Garden worth seeing through?
Don't talk silly Anon.
Most of /a/ was waiting for gg to fix up.
Sayuri/Hyacinth was my favorite.
Dr. Wily guy a close second.
Machikado no Marchen / Radio city fantasy
does anyone know where I can download a copy? It used to be uploaded to youtube but got taken down a few months ago. It's good and I want to share it
I've seen it. well, I didn't bother finishing it. generic "artistic" wankery is right
Putting up with Scarfece's bullshit throughout the series was hard. I hope he is killed off in manga.
It's on nyaa
Like most of Nichikubo's shows there's not really any substance but he hits visual direction and atmosphere out of the ballpark, and you can't really ask for more out of 80s ovas. One of my favorite 80s directors for sure.
One day i'll find a proper copy of Neko Hiki no Oruorane around the internet somewhere
It felt bland, but I appreciate the effort in making the fantasy world of Templar. The drama between Noah and the MC was I think was the weakness of the series.
I'm also surprised that it started as isekai, but ended up being reverse isekai in a way.
I actually gathered this because of the anime OP threads, but I guess this should work here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYg1HxWbWcU (the only OP that's not OP1, this is OP3)
Was fun to watch drunk I guess
My African American comrade.
I was JUST about to fucking post that very same anime.
Oh, I remember this one. It was pretty garbage with tons of QUALITY, but some scenes were fuckin amazing, like party crash/mountain smash and the inner monologue/dialogue/whatever in the last episode with savanna and lions and shit.
I may very well be the only one outside of Latin America who has seen it, and that's including Japan.
the op was dope and was related to slayers
I read all three of the book series, and two of her unrelated series, including the rainbow fairy one that I always pretended I was getting for my sister. Holy shit, I was really into Emily Rhodda now that I remember it.
It's got some kind of okay stuff but winds up really disappointing. That Hosoda OP is really cool at least. If you haven't, go fucking read/watch ZnT and read Vampire Juujikai, he got way better.
Any /loco/ bro here?
I think I actualy am the only person that watched this. At least I never get a response to it.
I only remember two things about this anime: the blond faggot's seizure-inducing transformation sequence, and that guitar in the OP
Dropped cause there was no subs and my english isn't good enough to see the dub version.
Dropped, it was terrible
That doesn't exist but if hypothetically it existed I would have watched it
This is one of my favorite fantasy shows
Watched, poor MC got NTRed
Watched, water prietess best girl
Watched and was awesome
Watched, was badass
Tried to watch 2 times, dropped both times after 20 episodes
See yours and rise pic related
Shit! I (>>144534455) got late...I rise this then
I loved the books as a kid. Does the anime exist anywhere on the internet? I've never managed to find all of it
I remember nothing about this except for that the boy had wind powers, blondie had gravity powers and big bad had water powers.
There are a view things only I watched, but this one I remember the most.
Well shit, I swear I checked everywhere, this was a few years ago though. That said that torrent looks like a rip of the English DVDs which is missing the last 13 episodes as those were never localized for some reason.
This is how the Majikoi adaptation should've been.
Holy shit yes. Animax aired the hipster-most shit back in the day.
Pic related was my entry-level show.
Apparently those other episodes where anime original shit made for the nips because they liked it so much. The anime as a whole is supposed to be pretty faithful to the books.
i used to watch dubbed as a kid and now forgot completely what the english title was.
I didn't like it but I watched everything all the same when it aired on Animax.
>this is considered obscure on post-neo-/a/
By the way, I liked the sequel more, even though it was 200% more gay.
I can somewhat understand Kiddy Grade but not fucking Blood Lad or Nobunagun. Those were not even that long ago and they had threads like every other seasonal show.
Some of you guys need to try harder.
I discovered it through a WebM somebody posted on here last year. I watched it on Youtube right before it got taken down and loved every minute of it. Luckily, Discotek recently released the entire series on DVD.
I do like it more. The original is more coherent, solid, but the sequel is crazy as fuck. Call it a trainwreck if you want. I laughed a lot more at that and both sucked in the drama part.
Suck my dick.
>are you retarded?
No. I think you are, though, since you can't even use the quote function properly. Anyways, when people call seasonal shit from three years ago or Last Exile, Kiddy Grade, Law of Ueki, Bobobo and Seikai no Monshou "obscure" I'm not going to take the benefit of the doubt and assume that they're just trolling. You underestimate how new a lot of people are.
I actually really enjoyed this, even though it's about transies.
At least go for something without a translation if you're trying to out-hipster /a/ . Pic related
In my opinion, the show never goes that route. When I was watching it I had no idea what was going to happen next. If you get into it, it'll have you hooked until the very end.
I enjoyed this one. It was a fun series with a nice ending. But the game was absolute garage.
Someone did a decent fansub for about 20 episodes, and only released them on youtube. Another group did a Japanese to Portuguese to English translation for the entire series, but it's only on youtube too. The translation quality wasn't the best either.
I really don't think I am the only one who watched it but I never saw it posted. Chocolat a cute. Too bad worst boy won, though it was expected.
I guess no one hasn't seen it
If this your first time your gonna love it
I never ever knew anyone who watched this other than my brother.
Maybe like one other anon who would make a thread in hopes that others would join our stride
pretty sure no one else even remembers this
It gets mentions on /ai/ extremely rarely. I watched it multiple times, and even played the DS game.
>reverse harem with the fem protag
Making the FeMC a side character in her own anime was one of the best decisions they ever made.
Pretty good desu. Got a 4 on MAL buts it's as good as most 7s
I don't even remember why I watched it.
Oh my god Winter Garden. It's not great by any means but if you've suffered through the rest that is Di Gi Charat, it is so satisfying to see a show out of that franchise that is not utterly shit. Nice one anon.
I still don't get what Majikoi and this are supposed to have in common. Certainly not the characters...
But yeah, noble masters is much, much better.
I'm planning to watch this sometime.
I've seen it. I loved the shit out of that character design. Why can't anime look like this again?
So it's an anime I haven't watched myself, but I figure this is the right thread to ask. I was browsing a used records store the other day and they had a bunch of DVDs too. I came across a battered box of Infinite Ryvius. Is it good? Looks somewhat old and I have no idea what it's about.
Also I came across a live action adaptation of Sky High, which if I remember correctly was about an eerie dark haired girl that greets people in the afterlife. Has anyone seen it?
At the very least, quite a few oldfags will have seen it. It was hardly an unknown series back in the day.
I sincerely doubt that any of you have watched this little bugger.
Not really an answer but just how many people watched this shit? I'm no anime fanatic but it's probably the worst anime I've seen.
Is that the one where the sister is in love with her brother and then it turns out that they're not even related at all? Seen it.
>but just how many people watched this shit?
Basically almost all of /a/ watched OniAi when it was airing. Daily threads for it like any other harem shit.
Yes and the MC is writing incest ero book between brother and sister. His sister love those books but doesn't know he is the writer.
I watched it. The constant glow and dim were pretty shit effects and it was monotone. Nice seiyuu.
I am almost 100% certain nobody in this thread watched this.
Unless you are dutch or a very old nip.
This is the rarest anime I watched
I have literally never seen anyone who has watched this
>Watch the first episode
>Public domain music starts playing
I think is great
Own the manga
Never mentioned for a very long time
Is it bad this scene actually fucking terrified me?
It was kind of an entertaining concept. Shame it was only 4 episodes long and focused too much on the fanservice.
Mouryou no Hako
it was pretty solid, lots of fujobait too
I love this show, always fun to rewatch. It's like a generic shonen series with MC going into alternative world, except MC never gives a shit about others the whole show and people actually die and everything actually does get perma destroyed with consequences.
I don't even know why I watched it all the way through
Loved the artstyle and thought it was pretty enjoyable overall.
>despair and entropy
Maybe I was just too young in third/fourth grade, but I don't remember it being that harsh. It was fairly dark, especially the two sequel series, but I wouldn't say it was all about despair or anything like that.
Hah! that was one of the first anime I watched. I was about 13 at the time and it made me take up martial arts - I was an idiot, so I thought if I trained hard enough I'd learn to do Ki and stuff like in the show.
I think I was the only one actually watching this on /a/ when it aired.
It wasn't worth it desu, Matsutaro is literally the worst human being ever.
I actually finished this a few weeks ago. Forgettable, but it piqued my interest in the games.
I still can't get over how shitty the ending to this was, I surely wasn't expecting
to turn into a fucking giant mechawhat the fuck
It was nice politics and strategy until then
Fuck you, it was stupid awesome.
watched both seasons and ovas and the movie and the mini goddesses episode
i liked it a lot
except for the guy who couldnt even ask her out/kiss her even though she obviously wants to
>never met anyone who even heard of this
Kimiaru and Majikoi were originally created by the same company, MinatoSoft. That and Ageha Kuki, the chick from Kimiaru with the X-shaped scar on her forehead, appears in Majikoi aged-up and with longer hair.
And yeah, Kimiaru is objectively better, if only because it tried to be more than just fanservice for those who were fans of the original game like Majikoi was.
Well, that and the various references.
It was a thing on /a/ at the time.
These threads always fill up with people posting shows that were pretty popular and were part of the culture 10 years ago. It's kind of weird for me.
