Phantom World, it had a grand total of one LN out when the anime is announced. Or if you want fewer, there was Free!, which came out before the LN it was based on (High Speed) was released.

I wish i could agree, but the LN will never be translated. Season 2's first cour was some grade A suffering, but the rest of it was alright. They did a semi-decent job explaining stuff in season 3. The only downside was that we weren't invested in the characters because of all the skipped novels. The old man's and Sydonay's deaths were the only ones to have any impact.
