A lot of anime have used these same sound effects, so they're just taking them from some shitty source that every other studio has used. I remember hearing the same sounds in Witch Craft Works when the main girl would use her fire spells.

Both this and that are/were enjoyable regardless, but I wish they'd have used different sound effects. Maybe they just didn't put the sound budget as high as other parts. The mech animation budget was obviously put well above everything else.

I hope the next fights will be in an environment that does kinda show that those superrobots are big robots and not just kamen riders. Like for example in a city again to have that size contrast of buildings to robots, and with cars and stuff getting destroyed underneath them.
Or forests, where tiny birds are seen flying away whenever those robots are coming near them, and trees break apart. Fighting in featureless plains just ain't that sexy.

Also, the pilots need piloting suits. Bonus point if they are thematically tied to the regalia they pilot. Perhaps have the lolis turn into suits for the slightly older girls inside the robots for maximum bonding when it's time for them to get really serious and to use THAT.

Naming conventions like this always make things more interesting for me, regardless of how deep it goes. It's kind of like when mediums use the seven deadly sins as a base for characters, but that's become a bit uninteresting as it's been used more and more. It's not as boring as naming one character Nobunaga and another Mitsuhide and just waiting to see how Mitsuhide betrays Nobunaga, at least. So something unusual, for me anyway, like this is a bit more interesting, so thanks for bringing it up.
