Don't pick on Megumi so much, she's a good girl.
Do not defend half-human half-dinosaur hybrids.
>he purposefully made the first girl you see a throwaway character just to make who wins the bowl a mystery
>in the end of the series when he's back at the diner, she actually shows back up and he picks childhood friend to be the one he cooks for for the rest of his laifu
I can't see her being his wife at the end though. His dad seems like a nomadic chef and so does his son. The kind of wife who would understand that is Megumin. She comes off as the perfect wifey material who can cook sweet shit for him and also send him off.
Erina has been abused for too long to do that and I simply don't think the author will spend so much time melting her icey hearts...this is a food porn anime not a romantic anime.
Erina has the god tongue that makes her the perfect pair for the cooking autist souma.
Also,is confirmed that souma is going to end with someone,Megumi is just admiration and Tsukuda is the biggest Erinafag ever,so..
>being this brainwashed by "Joichiro give me ur dick" Erina. Face it, she's a 5/10 at best.
While Nikumi is head over heels for Souma, not to mention her amazing outfit, and her attitude.
>Something like that seems more plausible than Souma suddenly being interested in the cunt Erina.
Now i'm sure you din't read the manga.
>Admiration can turn into love by confessing to him
Megumi is becoming more and more irrelevant with every new saga,so no..
>all these animeonlyfags thinking that Megumi will win 100%
Erina winning the Soumabowl was basically planned from the very beginning. Jouichirou and Erina's gramps are the perfect matchmakers.
What makes you say that?
>Jouichirou and Erina's gramps are the perfect matchmakers.
I can't wait for the other characters to actively ship it too.
>Bleach is ending
>Nisekoi is ending
The departure of a highly popular WSJ manga is always accompanied by increased shitposting in the threads of those that remain. Look at what happened to One Piece threads after Naruto ended.
>There's a trick to becoming a great chef. That trick is finding someone who makes you want to give her the best food you've ever made.
>the next panel is literally a full spread of Erina
One of the first premises of the show is about finding that special someone you want to make food for. Why shouldn't shipping be on the table?
Considering the main character never once blushed or even hinted to anything romantic to a girl in the entire series, I think not.
Souma is so much of an autist that if a girl flashed her tits at him and got naked, he would be wondering why her clothes came off.
I've always wondered how these clothes work. Wouldn't the shirt and blazer be compressing the boobs instead of the boobs expanding the clothes? Is her blouse extra baggy to accommodate the tits' size? Aren't the buttons straining to hold things together?
>Souma is too autistic.
>Takumi even if he is aware of romance and girls wanting his dick doesn't give a fuck.
>Ryou has the girl right in front of him but doesn't notice.
>Isami is too dense.
>Ibusaki can't catch a hint of Ryoko's ryokos.
>Marui is too irrelevant.
>Buttbros and most likely Isshiki are homos.
Being a girl there is suffering.
>she's a good girl
But that's what makes picking on a girl fun.
Or something like 'is that a culture thing where you are from? Might visit there to learn how to cook as well."
Let us be honest his father has a ton of women who probably visit the restaurant to "sample" his father's cooking. He probably got used to seeing how women at a young age.
Plebs all of you, Rindou Nee-sama is better than all other girls in this series at everything
What spoilers are you looking at, anon.
58-59. There's nothing above the blue text comments, or at least it's not showing for me.
I agree with 2ch, this week's chapter is a slow one. In a nutshell:
>the train arrives in Sapporo and the students are transported by bus to a lonely mansion in the mountains
>the examiner, Endou, explains that the theme this round is noodles
>each student will be taking the exam alone, but they're called up in threes
>there are limited supplies of noodles and basic ingredients set out, but obviously those won't be enough to create a satisfying dish
>the students must procure everything else by themselves (i.e. running to the market by taxi)
>the exam begins and it soon becomes clear that the rebels are last in the queue
>which means even the noodles and basic ingredients set out will be gone by the time it's their turn
>Takumi, Souma and Megumi are in the same bloc (Erina was in the first group called up); it's nearly their turn and only wheat flour/rice flour are left (the prepared noodles are gone)
>they think about heading out to get what they need but there's a killer blizzard as forecasted, they can't even catch a taxi
>Endou thinks the rebels are finished when a panicking staff runs in and says the rebels have somehow procured noodles
>sure enough, Souma and Co. have their noodles and Endou is flabbergasted
>Souma gets a jab in: "we survived a training session that was a hundred times tougher than this childish prank!"
>flashback to the night before the Hokkaido trip
>Fumio is about to tell the PSD crew to save their strength for the real deal when she sees >>144469188
>flashback ends, all the rebels (not just Souma, Takumi and Megumi) have started cooking
>Souma: just you wait, cunts
>They are obviously going to fail. It's not like there's some italian guy that knows about pasta, anyway.
That's what the comments are saying.
>this guy (Endou) is fodder
>calling it, it's vermicelli
>what's next, telling them to cook with rotten ingredients?
>the other students needed to get supplies too, won't they all fail if there's a blizzard?
>Central is looking lamer each chapter and you have to wonder if the Elites on board with it are stupid too
>I've had enough of Tadokoro's "I'll follow you everywhere" shtick, if it weren't for Souma she would have dropped out in the beginning
>Central/Azami's tactics are so underhandedｗ, if he wanted them gone he should just expel them with his authority. Why are adults banding together to pick on 15-16 year old kids?ｗ
>Central's stocks dropped when they tolerated Eizan's rigged match
>how many more times are we getting this dumb formula? It's the first exam rehashed in a different setting, I want to see Shokugekis and battling
>can the guys who left to procure supplies make it back?
>First task's problem: bad fish/small time to prepare meal after wasting time for good-quality ingerdient
Partnered with: a beastly fast seafood specialist
>Second task's problem: No noodles/Have to make noodles from scratch
Partnered with: Italian cuisine specialist/Pasta Master (like yo remember what he cooked in the Autumn Elections prelims? like three-layered noodles man like whaaaat)
Good job at threatening MC's chances of survival, Central. Good job.
I'm curious how the E10 and former E10 will factor in. We saw almost all of them mobilizing for this, so we may see a disruption related to them.
I hope you aren't actually arguing "he hasn't up to this point, therefore he never will."
Tsukada might pull what he did with the survivor hunt if he realize's this arcs gonig to shit. He'll just have the next two challenges happen in 4 panels, then skip straight to the end. Maybe he'll also have a single panel where Megumi looks like she did something before sidelining her for another 20 chapters.
See this nigger? He's the epitome of the Trifling Editor, a retard that attempts to control the author's work with his own preferences and taste.
Sometimes their influence is exaggerated, but if you see a previously consistent manga falter in its quality or go in a completely crazy direction, chances are it was an editor who convinced the author that's what they need.
This fucker elicited more intense feelings from me than any other character in Bakuman.
A better question is how much input does Tosh have in the story. I'm pretty sure if two people brainstorm it's much easier to stop retarded ideas before they take form on the drawings.
I love 2ch, I remember a long ass time ago in these threads someone was translating their comments about Shokugeki and two of them were something like
>I want to sniff Erina's used napkins
>I bet Megumi would make a really good face if you punched her
Was that a Gokusen reference I saw?
Are you serious? She would have the same face as always.
I read the manga since the first chapter and even though I know that Erina will win becau). muh main girl, I still think that Megumi had a chance, since she was always by Souma side until this last arc ( that I dropped since I hated Erina's father).
>she was always by Souma side
>Be random moeblob in competitive cooking school
>Get assigned to be MC's partner in cooking classes
>Coincidentally lives in the room next to him
>Follows him around constantly
The only reason the author has kept her around is because she lacks any personality so she never outshines Souma, and can react to what people do.
Reminder that Megumi is best girl because she's not afraid to fight for her place, while Erina is a dumb mindbroken cunt that gets others to fight her battles for her and deserves to die alone.
>Girls and boys sleeping in the same cabin
Lewdest of the lewd.
Hey guys, genius plan here. What if we give the creative kids, who can make delicious food out of the fewest and most mundane ingredients, the fewest and most mundane ingredients? It seems like a flawless plan so lets do it at least twice
I gotta say for all his menacing looks so far Azami's masterplans were kinda lame
I tought of that but i did not see any potato and they seem to have made sure to leave nothing for them to make noodles with. Unless they make vegetable noodles?
The stakes are no longer high, the dorm group will just prevail anyway. The solutions to the challenges they encounter are no longer interesting. The villains are monumentally incompetent with blatantly retarded goals. The ships aren't even fun anymore, no one interacts with each other.
Central is the worst thing to happen to this series.
> The ships aren't even fun anymore, no one interacts with each other
Nice try, Mehgloomyfag.
>The ships aren't even fun anymore
The one true ship is the only redeeming factor of this arc. I'm somewhat upset that we didn't get to stay on the Polar Express for a while longer.
I hate Megumi.
How is what you posted an interaction, we know Erina is prime ship in the fleet. Where's the banter? Where's the competition?
No one in this fucking series talks to each other except for exposition. That janken joke from this chapter was the only sign these characters have personality.
> Where's the banter?
Because interaction doesn't have to be in form of a dialogue. The chemistry between Erina and Soma is a nice example of interaction. I didn't know I have to state things that obvious.
>Where's the banter? Where's the competition?
There was banter before they came on this trip.
>from this chapter
Well, you know, they were broken up into smaller groups and told to wait for an exam that would be rigged.
It HAS to be a inside joke
There is just no other way unless she honestly has some sort of bone atrophy disease or something and she is proving her doctors wrong by becoming a Chef, which they said would be impossible with her condition.
I'm waiting on a flash back during a Shokugeki when she is almost about to lose then tells that story which gives her the courage to win the Duel.
Fuck this shitty manga this is a complete waste of Tosh's talent.
So between S1 and S2 they just straight up skipped like 25 or something chapters right? Between the prelims where we are now and the fact that the Aldini bro is skinny as well as Giga Niggas intro, theres a lot of stuff they just straight up skipped, right?
No, but it's too rushed. And he said in a tankobon comment that he remembers the times when he had trouble writing a certain scene or how long it took to develop X, so the anime rushing past it all might be discouraging.
Refute what I said about the ships not being fun anymore.
It's a foregone conclusion and the chemistry between Souma and Erina is boring and clichéd because of it. Them having a quiet moment was not noteworthy nor interesting.
>ships not being fun anymore
There was only one real ship to begin with and it's sailing.
>Them having a quiet moment was not noteworthy nor interesting
They're enjoying each other's company for once after all the hostility from earlier arcs, looks noteworthy to me.
>It's a foregone conclusion and the chemistry between Souma and Erina is boring and clichéd because of it
Go back to the Nisekoi threads.
What other purpose does she serve?
Well, since Azami appeared:
We've seen the pure Nakiri sisterly love.
We've seen shokugeki against E10 first place.
We've seen two great Erina's foodgasms.
We've seen Erina warming up a lot, being deredere with Soma and becoming even better with each chapter.
We've seen a lot of Megumi pose.
What are you still complaining about, /a/?
>We've seen a lot of Megumi pose
>it's around November in the manga
>after the Hokkaido exams they'll have winter break
>Azami will try to have some "family time" with Erina but Senzaemon encourages her to do what she wants
>she runs back to PSD and they all have a party
>it's winter break
>Erina doesn't want to remain in the Nakiri House with Azami creeping on her
>Souma invites her (and Hisako by extension) over to his place, Erina accepts because she wants to see what kind of shop Saiba set up
>is shocked to see how pleb it is, meets Souma's old school friends
>Kurase is astonished that Souma brought home two new cute girls
I kinda feel bad with kurase. She has several interaction with souma that makes her a character, but tsukuda just can't give her more screen time because she's irrelevant with the plot, and it makes her become lower than a background character
EVEN IN HER SLEEP SHE DOES THAT FUCKING POSE. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH HER?
How fucking shit is this manga now? So what, theres going to be 5 more stages where the examiners are total pricks with smug evil faces and 5 more stages where they pull out a win? This manga turned to shit so fast once azami appeared.
Is this a reference to another manga?
Even you have to admit that this is one of the weakest arcs.
After all that dread that azami is supposed to generate all we're getting is sabotage and goons, none of the people hat make central actually threatening are involved
The arc has barely even started. You always start with scrubs before working your way to something with actual tension, and it's obvious that we're going to get some real threats, possibly from Rindou finally, as we near the end of this Hokkaido trip. It's like you people still aren't used to following a weekly manga.
Not him and I'm enjoying this arc (especially because of Erina defrosting and tutoring) but it's lame that this second exam is more or less the first one with a different theme and supervisor.
Well yesh, she doesn't attend the school which is the setting and lives in another town. Basically she can appear during school breaks.
It's fine to have your arms like that when sleeping on your side. It's weird when walking around.
Did you forget that we already had shokugeki with 2 elite ten members including the number 1 spot?
The stakes now seem trivial compared to then and I get that. It's supposed to show the fruits of Erina's hell school but we could deal with that faster then that we're going now.
I don't need to remind you to Eizan's match do I?
That's why they're short trials. We're pushing through them quickly and just letting the heroes show off how good they are for a bit, to drive home that only serious contenders are going to be a threat.
Did you expect the stakes to always be that high? Mangaka alternate levels of tension for a reason. This isn't supposed to be tense yet, it's supposed to be fun and easy. And the Eizan match was great.
She's supposed to be one of the main female characters but never seems to do something noteworthy on screen and keeps hanging around Souma.
And apparently people seem to get irritated at her stance but that's a non-issue in truth.
>We're pushing through them quickly and just letting the heroes show off how good they are for a bit, to drive home that only serious contenders are going to be a threat
I wouldn't be complaining if we had an Elite overseeing one of these exams for a change. They're more interesting than these no-good adults snickering and rubbing their hands together.
>Rindou would wander around and be hype for what Souma pulls off
>Nene would probably be sitting in a corner looking severe
>Momo bullies her stuffed animal
>Eizan glares at Souma and Co. but doesn't say anything
>Tsukasa looks pained that Central is playing this dirty and apologizes like a madman
Eizan? Rindou said thst if he focused on cooking the way he focuses on making money, he could surpass some of the other E10.
She also told us though that unlike the rest Eizan basically made it through thst money making skill, and that comparatively he doesn't have as strong a shokugeki record.
In other words, out of the E10 he seems to have the least shokugeki experience.
Hate to break it to you, but Megumi isn't good enough for Takumi.
Refer to this for all the official ships, confirmed from Tsukuda's mouth. I had lunch with him, and he revealed it to me after having a beer to my protests of drinking so early.
Why does Souma have such a good taste in best friend and waifu?
This series should have remained silly and light hearted. The moment it tries to be serious it goes to shit.
Civil war would have been more interesting as a fight between student factions within the school, but without directly involving the director and the teachers.
>Civil war would have been more interesting as a fight between student factions within the school
This. Or just simple in-fighting among the Elites. At this point I'm half-certain Tsukuda introduced Azami because he really wanted to get started on defrosting Erina.
It could have been nice to see the elite 10 being the ones leading, not fucking Azami getting the whole administrative body behind him.
Azami could have appeared as a mastermind behind it at the end because his objective seems to be destabilizing and maybe destroying tootsuki, but he shouldn't have been directly involved, at least not until later.
Erina's defrosting could have been treated in the same way it's gradually happening right now, but with azami only appearing at the end to finish it.
Their taste is more or less in line with /a/. Expect Souma, Erina, and Takumi to take the top 3 again, with Alice and Hisako and Rindou following. Maybe Tsukasa will shoot up to 5th.
Kind of wish Alice made this page.
I guess this means none of the women in Souma's life have pushed him to be better (so far).
>all those tweets about Splatoon
>chit-chatting with some random gamer on NND
>"every time I lose I should make Tadokoro or Hinako strip"
>>"every time I lose I should make Tadokoro or Hinako strip"
Do it,faggot. make sure Soma and Erina see it. In fact, make them both taste the rape dish of peanut butter. cept the squids in this case are Callie or Marie depending on who loses this final splatfest.
I swear to G*d this is the same faggot who posts this in every thread where there is a reference to Megumi, holy fuck what is wrong with you.
This arc is so terrible I can't take this shit seriously.
If this is a world with such a huge cooking school, then there should be another big cooking school out there. It doesn't have to be as big but logically, it should still exist. Some of the teachers have been shown to oppose central as well many of the student oppose central so why don't they just leave?
There are three former elite ten who have been kicked out (plus Erina who wasn't technically kicked out), some teachers oppose them and all the top students of the first year oppose central.
If they transfer to a rival school they would do more damage to central than by staying and trying not to get kicked out or in the teachers case, staying and pretending to follow orders. After the current seniors graduate, who would take tootski seriously when all their top young talents said fuck it and left?
I actually hated her when I first started reading this series. She was a major cunt, was implied to be the main girl of the story, and barely got any screentime. Erina has been pretty qt recently and less of a cunt so I like her now.
Nigga he won a burger contest without making a burger
How long before Megumi gets killed off completely in the manga? She's going to place much lower in the next popularity poll, there's a ton of characters that need screentime (E10, currynigger, gin, etc.), and she has zero relevance to the plot as a "main character". Tsukada's also never going to dedicate an arc for her because he knows the manga's ratings can't withstand 2 months of a shitty character gaining self confidence.
Are Takumi and Alice long lost relatives or something
It has to be soon. She's served her purpose to the story (i.e to show that Soma is so great he can turn a literal failure of a student into one of the best first year cooks in the school just by his own force of personality). It's Erina's turn to be touched by Soma now.
Hinako is pure.
She is waiting for her husbando. And Fukuda knows it.
> no Shinomiya and Mizuhara
They shared more moments together.
it was as much a burger as Hishoko's was
unless in your mind Steamed buns and needle ginger is more burger than pita and acchar. At least Hayama's patty actually had ground beef in it
Where I am from both would be considered burgers. Here in the NYC area all cuisine that isn't Italian or street food needs to be New American something-fusion. Pita burger ain't nothing outlandish.
Hinako is second seat too.
ShinomiyaxHinako is the correct answer.
You are too easily influenced.
This, so much anon.
I hope the three ex elite 10 actually works together to destroy Azami and his retarded central minion (including the stupid elite 6).
Also hoping the first year rebels joins the three strongest powerhouse in usurping Azami.
Well, at least that they have a brief appearence at the start of the arc gives me hope for this.
Also, will Gin and Jou try to do something about all of this? We haven't know anything about them since forever.
Why is every chapter from 144 to 166 missing english translation and why is every chapter 166 onwards completely shit in terms of scan quality?
>If this is a world with such a huge cooking school, then there should be another big cooking school out there. It doesn't have to be as big but logically, it should still exist
That's for future arcs. There'll either be a Triwizard Tournament or an exchange program.
>If they transfer to a rival school they would do more damage to central than by staying and trying not to get kicked out or in the teachers case, staying and pretending to follow orders. After the current seniors graduate, who would take tootski seriously when all their top young talents said fuck it and left?
Maybe they want to take back the school. Tootsuki is a noble institution with a long and illustrious history. Just because an edgy retard came along and hijacked it doesn't mean they should all walk out; that would be cowardice. PSD has its own history and pride.
Damn, that's really sad. It was just getting exciting and then it turns out there's a translation gap.
I mean there's even turkish translations of the missing chapters, just fuck my life up.
>manga's ratings can't withstand 2 months of a shitty character gaining self confidence.
We got the autumn elections and training camp, much of it was focuses on Megumi. Then the story goes on like nothing fucking ever happened, and Megumi is the same background character.
Oh shit, thanks anon. I thought there were no other sources for the missing chapters.
Why is every character from japanese or half-japanese?
>brown kid who grows up in the indian slums
>guy who cooked in a danish portside bar
>twins from italy
Correction: Nene will be Isshiki's mind broken slut. She looks like the type that will become a cake.
Hojo is just tsundere towards Kuga. Once he explores other types of Chinese cooking, Hojo will be all over him.
>Cooking school in Nippon
>Written by a Nip
>Expecting anything else
Currynigger also isn't a Nip. He's full blooded Indian. Jun and the Hayama group just happened to adopt and name him Akira.
Hayama is not fucking Japanese, he is a Poo-in-Loo that got adopted by Jun and Prof Hayama.
Kurokiba's origins is a mystery.
Why would a full-blooded Italian come all the way to Japan when they probably have an equally good culinary school(s) in Italia? Plus, if they weren't half-Japanese they won't know the lingo.
What's with all these professional cook examiners unable to foresee the loopholes these kids can find? Like if the trick here is that they just use some special combination of flour to make noodles, shouldn't a professional cook specialized in noodles be aware of that?
The writer tried to address this obvious plothole with the last shokugeki with the yakuza wannabe, but they don't even have real judges this time, why are they acting like it matters how good these kids are. Just fucking fail them already.
Next episode preview:
They have to have an excuse for why people from overseas would bother to spend their childhood learning a language isolated to a small island east of actually-important-to-learn China.
It's a meme. Also there's people who find joy in acting like a total retard while being a fan of a girl so that they themselves can shit on a fanbase that's quite literally non-existant. It's stupid so I just ignore it.
>a fanbase that's quite literally non-existant
>Being this ignorant and retarded
Let people have their opinion. If this shit riles you, go back to a place where people don't talk smack.
>He keeps going on about animeonly, newfag, lurk more, this and that
Stop being a fucking shitter. I've only watched 1 episode of season 2 because the pace is god awful.
Now since you still think this is a meme, Meat is shit because 1. she has a shitty character design 2. Her only purpose is to blush over MC's dick 3. Her cooking specialty is literally just meat, which she does worse at actually cooking meat than the rest of the named characters
Now that is an opinion. You can fuck off now.
