Renji releases bankai, but Yhwach breaks it.
Aizen takes the opportunity to unleash his attack, though Yhwach mocks him for siding with Ichigo against a common enemy.
Aizen uses way of destruction 99. Ryuutenmetsu (Five dragons of heavenly destruction?). Reiatsu in the form of dragons attack Yhwach but he shrugs it off and closes in on Aizen, delivering a punch to the gut that sends Aizen flying.
Then Ichigo attacks from behind.
Yhwach: I see it all.
Then he breaks Zangetsu completely and fires an arrow blows a large hole through Ichigo's abdomen and arm.
Yhwach: Farewell Ichigo, perish together with Soul Society.
Ichigo?: I see, so you're seeing Kurosaki Ichigo.
Ichigo takes the form of Aizen and Yhwach is caught by surprise by the real Ichigo, who fires a getsuga that blows him away.
The Almighty relies on sensory input, it makes sense that if you obstruct the sensory organ it'll fail.

1. Kyouka Suigetsu is not a bankai, Yhwach remarked that Aizen's kyouka suigetsu had wilted before he broke it and landed that punch.

2. The key to victory against Yhwach is to target his eyes. Take out his eyes and his ability is useless. Unless he can regen the eyes, in which case you'll just piss him off.

3. Ichigo still has a lot of power left in him and Yhwach has good reason to be cautious of Zangetsu.

Aizen's arm is left dangling from his body.

Yonkou here,

you're counting wrong, the combined 36/37 issue should have 685 only. Realistically speaking the only chance of a double chapter with Jump series is a Naruto situation where they released 699/700 together in 1 issue.

Another thing is that Bleach debuted in Issue 36/37 2001 so the editors might be planning to end it with that issue in line with the 15th anniversary. If thats the case then we should know next week whether or not its ending.

If however if lives past Issue 36/37 then I'll get Issue #38 early and whichever chapter is in that should come out faster.

As of now the only series confirmed ending is Mononofu which ends in Issue #34 (this week). The new serializations are as follows

#35 : Yakusoku Neverland by Posuka Demizu (art) & Kaiu Shiroi (story) start.
#38 : Love Rush by Ryôhei Yamamoto (E-Robot) start.
#39 : Red Sprite by Tomohiro Yagi (Iron Knight) start.

Based on this some series should end on Issue 36-37 and Issue 38 to make way for the new serializations. I have my money on Nisekoi and Bleach but whichever comes first will be the gamble.

Normal Bleach volumes have 11 chapters in them. Chapter 683 brings the count of chapters not in a volume up to 9, and the next volume has already been confirmed to be the last one.

So volume 74 could be longer than normal, but not by more than 4-5 chapters as past that it stops making sense to have a long final volume, and starts making sense to have an additional volume.

So a minimum of 2 chapters left, a maximum of 7 chapters. And Jump usually doesn't like to exceed 20 series running at a time, though they've done so occasionally. With Mononofu ending and a new series starting this week with two more confirmed for issues 38 and 39, odds are good two more series will end by then.

So what happens next chapter?

If Bleach really ends in 3 chapters, then Yhwach needs to lose next chapter. Ishida shows up and shoots him and he gets cut down by Ichigo.

If Bleach has a bit more, then he shrugs off the hit and strikes back in a big way. Ichigo can then get some sort of final power-up and a Bankai that doesn't look like shit.

I'm not entirely sure if his illusions only target individuals or not. We've only seen him make people appear different (or disappear) and even making objects (his sword) but I can't think of a time he made something appear that wasn't there.

Aizen's illusionary corpse was only an illusion. Well, probably. I guess he could have used some random body of a Shinigami instead? He did need to use a subordinate as a decoy to overlay his illusion in the Pendulum arc.

He didn't really job. His opponent was just bullshit levels of immortal to the point of surviving decapitation. He needed a deus ex machina to be defeated (and still wasn't killed even by that!).
