This is pretty good reasoning but it has one fatal flaw: it implies that animators can pick and choose the projects they want to work on. A nromal animator is lucky if he gets the chance to work on something somewhat popular. The decisions which show are adapted are made by people who have nothing to do with the animation process itself. Only highly reveered animators can choose their projects, and even they occasionally have to do shit like Naruto battles to stay afloat.

I like the berserk anime now, in episode 1 i was taken aback but the general aesthetic of it has grown on me. Sort of like the aku no hana anime, it tries to do something different on a lower budget rather than being generic about the art style.

I find myself streaming far more on these days, mostly on my phone and because just saving all that space on my HDD is nice.

also streaming sites have issues when dealing with a lot of movement or random colors. the quality will automatically drop when the video information hits the website's bit rate cap whereas a normal download will just get bigger. see video for explanation
