I get the feeling that it's a real life phenomenon, kinda like how guys will make fun of each other for being short or having no muscles. When the joke happens more than once or it becomes a permanent part of a character then it's shit.

It's not the worst but it's pretty damn lame. I know there's a disproportionate amount of Japanese guys who prefer tits but I don't care what size they are so long as the ass is nicely proportioned.

I remember rolling my eyes at it in Hibike, pretty much the first thing the MC says is that she wishes her tits were bigger. I mean come on man.

At least she wasn't burning an omelette and saying "OH NO WHY AM I SO BAD AT COOKING NOW I'LL NEVER GET MARRIED" which is even more annoying in my opinion.

I like breast envy because it helps me differentiate shit characters from the superior ones. I like confident girls and hate the cute/shy/insecure archetype and with this it's easy to notice who's better right away.

I don't even care if a character is bad at cooking. But when they don't even realize that they're bad at cooking, that's just fucking stupid.

The only exception is if they're a robot or something and don't have taste buds, but they're trying to cook anyway to make someone happy. Then it's cute instead of stupid.
