They should be promoted to positions of power and make valuable societal decisions.
>>144384525
So, we actually care about this shit?
>>144386513
Anime Original Nanoha has proven itself to be better than Manga Adaptation Nanoha, so yeah.
>>144386513
I care about this shit.
Two weeks ago it was generally agreed that Nanoha was a dead franchise. That 7arcs was probably not going to make a serious effort to revive it without KingRecords backing them up. Which meant Yukarin and King had to make amends in some small fashion.
Then, last week happened, and suddenly Nanoha has lots of new things coming out.
Never give up hope.

Lots of straight women love to fondle breasts and dress up beautiful girls.
>>144386678
What about the 3rd movie?

But I can appreciate sexy, blond MILFs.
>>144387134
Have hope, I'm sure they're not going to just abandon Yukarin like that.
>>144387246
Nana has already abandoned her and worse of all,
SHE CAN'T EVEN SING THE ED ANYMORE.
What did King do to her?
>>144387076
>Vivid
Don't you get it man? That isn't Nanoha too. Fuck Vivio.
>>144387314
Is Nana involved with this Vivid Strike thing?
>>144387371
>Fuck Vivio
Someone already has that job.
>>144387381
Nope.
VS is probably only connected to the Nanoha universe but not its characters in anyway.
>>144387614
Damn. I get that Yukarin ain't on good terms with King Records anymore, but why no Feito then? Or why not just have Nanoha's voice get taken by plot hax or something? Simply removing the main two characters from the franchise is fucking retarded.
>>144387726
>Simply removing the main two characters from the franchise is fucking retarded.
I've been saying that since StrikerS.

Apparently she decided to not recontract with KR on her own.
That's all we know anyway.Maybe she had enough of singing love songs while being a lonely depressed cake

>>144387381
No.
She's not even in the cast.
She's giving her throne to Minase Inori.
The real crime is that Miura's not on the cast list.
At least there's Vivid S2.
Whats the point of this?
Vivid was mistake.
>>144387467
Those poor girls... They need an onii-chan to set them straight. With the right attention and love she won't make the same mistake her mother did.
>>144384525
Vivid Strike isn't Nanoha though
>>144390231
It was still the worst thing to happen to the series. Eat shit.
>>144394023
The worst thing that happened to the series is them sitting on their ass not knowing what the fuck to do with their franchise.
Symphogear at least has the right idea of just continuously pumping out more seasons regardless if they're mediocre or not.

No hype from my side. The characters were what I always loved about the show and Strickers already had problems with the cast.

Did they ever straight up confirm that Nanoha and Fate were gay for one another? It's been a while since I paid attention to this series, but last I remember it had confirmed that as adults they live together, sleep in the same bed, and even adopted a kid who refers to both of them as "mama".
>>144412054
They're legally married and have been together for who knows how many years, but they never told us if they were gay, bi or whatever.

No. But don't tell the headcanon whores about it. Apparently, many innuendos combined with heavy headcanon is just as good as a stone, cold confirmation.
>>144412160
>They're legally married and have been together for who knows how many years, but they never told us if they were gay, bi or whatever.
Yeah. This makes entirely no sense.
>>144398393
Nope. It's inheriting Vivid's name so expect more martial arts tournaments instead of being a magical girl show, now minus even the tenuous Nanoha connection Vivid had.

I don't particularly care one way or the other, it just seems like the series HAS confirmed it in just about every way except for explicitly saying it. You can't seriously tell me that if you had a sibling that was suspiciously close with their "best friend" of the same gender, then ended up moving in with them as an adult AND adopting a kid together with them you'd believe that there was nothing gay going on?

>>144412522
>it just seems like the series HAS confirmed it in just about every way except for explicitly saying it
There is such a thing as subtext, which doesn't mean it's not confirmed or not canon, it means the story element is implicit and spelled out through events in the story rather than directly stated. If you consider the series and manga by themselves it's subtext because their romantic bond and relationship are only shown but not directly stated by any third party.
Is it time to abandon the thread already?
>>144407898
I didn't finish ViviD, is Miura living with the Yagamis?
>>144413021
Generally I think I agree with what you meant to say. But the statement was a bit simplified, because stuff being shown clearly can be or is text even if it is not technically said in words. Subtext is usually used as a term for possible meanings that are however still debatable and not definitive/conclusive, because they aren't clear enough and can have other explanations.
To simplify it - I think you could say that "text" are those parts that are clear beyond any debate and any interpretation can't ignore them. Subtext are things that are not as clear and an interpretation can claim them but there is not enough ground for such interpretation to be authoritative in any way.
>>144413157
Looks so.
>>144413261
She should have her own parents.
Which makes it a bit dumb that she shows her test grades to the Yagami amazon household.
Vivid makes this "ignore parents" mistake generally. It is most blatant with Einhart where it really raises questions and makes you think if she has some evil psycho family or what (if she doesn't and just lives alone for trivial reasons, serious disappointing screwup from the writer).
>>144407235
I know, they're a danger of making other people's pants tight.
>>144413350
>Subtext is usually used as a term for possible meanings that are however still debatable and not definitive/conclusive
Something that falls into that category doesn't classify as subtext. Subtext is a tool used in to message conveying that means something is not explicitly told, but inferred through other details.
For example. A character being human is subtext. Because you never flat out told they are human. It is just information that is obvious based on other things that must true with in the story. Another example is that a character is alive. You are often not told that a character is alive, but the fact they are up and about doing things proves they are alive.
Shut the fuck up right now.

The sad part about ViviD is that there is no way to tell if the writer is building up to something or is so incompetent that the idea never occurred to them.

The record company is what determines the licensing and assignments of your brand name and voice if you're big enough.
Yukarin does still voice but she isn't tied to King Records which has a claim on the Nanoha franchise and that may bar her from going back.
However, since Yukarin is such an essential part and nobody will settle for anyone else but her for Nanoha. They'll have to use her if they want to make more Nanoha seasons again.

>>144416352
That's what I mean
It's ancient history even if she didn't die from healer-aids. It's kind of like how ViviD tries to pitch itself as serious and intriguing when it all revolves around events that happened on the edge of recorded history in their world.
By that timeframe, who cares? Whining about things that happened a thousand years ago does not make interesting character drama.
>>144416488
>Whining about things that happened a thousand years ago does not make interesting character drama.
Now I am wondering if Mid has tumblr
>>144416488
It does if you actually live it yourself as if it was yesterday and the things are still present to you today (Einhart). I think that is quite a dramatic disorder to one's mind if you can properly imagine it going on.
What you do with it is other question - the way Vivid supposedly "solved" that mess by that last fight with Vivio - well to say it was very unconvincing is understatement of a decade scale.
>>144398393
the Tl team will release them as fast as the ViVid BDs release schedule.
>>144415456
I think the reveal with Nanoha and Yuuno in the first season was one of my favorite parts of it. Even more than the bridge scene.
>>144416726
IMHO it would be better if instead of trying to explain it in those far-fetched ways, Vivio plainly said Einhart that she wants to challenge her and that if she wins, Einhart will have to keep talking/going out/etc with her. And at the end when she won, with Einhart being a bit brooding over how she was broken that way, Vivio could try to explain it to her that she did that all because she wants to be with her and that she really wants her not to leave. Then Einhart could have some realization that she should not try to run away.
Would be much better than the shitty writing around that fight, IMHO. Simplicity FFS.

>Fate 2.0
>suddenly younger than Vivio, 20+ years younger than Nanoha
Might be interesting
>>144422676
Well, Fate 1.0 is what, 7 years younger than Nanoha? She was born at the age Alicia died.
>>144422753
Was there something about the Fate system speeding up her aging/early years or am I confusing her with Arf living in dog years
>>144422799
That happened with Arf, Fate was directly created with the body and mind that Alicia had before she died.
>>144422917
Oh, now I see what you mean.
>>144422799
Yes and no. Jail mentioned that the technology was meant to be used like that, thats why he impregnated the numbers with himself, but that was not Fate's case. As far as we know she was created as an exact replica of Alicia
>>144413465
Considering how Klaus' memories inheritance works(As mentioned, the royal traits and his memories appears from time to time in his descendants), Einhart probably is left to do whatever she wants because they don't know how to deal with her.
Though, I wonder about her alternate name, Heidi E.S Ingvalt, was that given to her by her parents?
Descendants who has the royal traits being given the royal name as a second name on top of their normal name might actually be cool.
>>144423751
Then why was Fate left-handed and was better with different magic, and her personality was different from Alicia? Why /a/, why? Why wasn't she Alicia, why was she just a failure?
>>144424285
Because you fucked up, Precia
>>144424285
I presume the whole artificial mage thing fucked it all up.
Maybe Precia altered some part of the clone's magic unknowingly(Maybe the project does boost magic potential of its subjects and this affects the whole cloning process) and that made Fate come out even more different than Alicia
>>144424483
Also it was still a prototype/in rough stages

Being an anime project is already reason enough to think they ain't gonna bother much with lolis.

What if they really do kill Nanoha off?
No fanfare, just "she's dead" show her lying on the bed, voiceless, and that's that?
>>144425753
It could be a really touching scene, with the camera panning over her corpse and everyone crying on the background.
It would at least be better than just ignoring the character
>>144425858
What if they actually gonna make her come back as part of the main cast.
What if they get her a new seiyuu?
>>144424742
Vivio being stronger than Olivie is debatable after Nanoha nerfed her though.
That said, it does shed a bit of light on magic potential in general.
In the whole Nanoha cast, Naoha is the only one who has her huge magic pool naturally. Everyone else at her level, is either like Fate(Artificially boosted as an artificial mage), the Wolkenritter(Magical construct made by a WMD with a stupidly huge magic pool), or Hayate(whose core fused with the core of the WMD that made the Wolkenritter).

No corpse, no anything, just RH and pieces of Nanoha's barrier jacket.

That was her fucking fault. Being a slut caught having sex with everyone in the band, except the bassist, will cause a a shitstorm for any artist anywhere in the world. It depends on how they manage it after that what's is important. Aya Hirano did it in one of the worst ways possible, she directly insulted their fans and admitted she never wanted to work for a fanbase like that.
Any artist would get fucked by that.
The real mindless shitstorms happen with idols that are directly marketed as someone for the otakus only. There are many maried VA who people don't get bothered about at all, like Maaya Sakamoto for example. It really depends on the person in specific.
I personally don't think Yukarin wouldn't have much problem. She has build up that depressed girl who could suicide at any moment image, most of her fans just want her to be happy for quite a time by now.

So basically new two femMCs will take the spot from Nanoha and Fate as BFF/married/shipping pairing of the fanbase while Nanoha and Fate will be removed from the scene due to some issues like they are on vacation, the girls are on vacation or they are on a mission or something?
We know Vivio and Einhart will be in this so maybe this Vivid Strike will be just about some tournament on Vivio side of things without her mothers around.
Maybe they should just replace Nanoha voice actress with someone new instead of removing her as character completely along with Fate.
>>144398393
I (and, I'd wager, most of the fanbase) were lukewarm towards ViVId, since it introduced /another/ timeskip and subsequent marginalisation of the former main characters when people were bitching about StrikerS jumping too far already.

There is nothing that can take the place of Nanoha and Fate. They better not even try that because they would be committing suicide.
They either try something different people can like and hope for the fanbase to not bitch that much about Nanoha and Fate not being there or make Vivid Strickers a failure since the start by trying it to be the same as Nanoha without Nanoha.

If you think about it, the ending StrikerS was a perfect set up for a second arc where the main characters rebuild TSAB from the inside out (since the literal brain in the jars controlling whole thing kicked the bucket), this time fighting the corruption directly instead of by proxy. How many crazy scientists with blatantly immoral projects and gung-ho admirals with genocide in their back pockets, like Jail or Graham, could be out there? Hayate probably wouldn't be all that unfamiliar with TSAB politics.
One thing about the Wolkenritter is that they would follow Hayate to hell if she so desires.
Even if Nanoha and Fate don't agree with her, Hayate could still have influence over some departments just by pulling their aces out(Signum, Vita, or even Shamal).
Anyway, with their connections, the trio probably has quite a bit of political power.
The Harlaowns and the fucking church are the ones that approves the establishment of Section 6 and its gathering of the most powerful mages in the TSAB.

I don't think BetrayerS follows from StrikerS at all. StrikerS had some "corruption" in TSAB, but that doesn't mean it was supposed to be dark, edgy thing with war. The overal tone of the canon is still that the authorities are focused on keeping peace and do a good job.
Going from that to BetrayerS is a giant leap that you have perfectly good reasons to dislike even before you start to be waifufagging. It's just making a different edgy thing from it, instead of working with the core material.
The main problem is of course that there is no way NanoFate + Hayate would just turn at each other and support chaos and bloodshed all of a sudden (Nanoha particularly turned to crazy bloodthirsty psycho).
The art resembled me of Hellsing and frankly, the story almost too. That's my take on why it is not a good take on Nanoha.

>>144445103
Leave logic at the door. It's magic.
>>144445357
My impression was that the cartridge system is one way to just quickly go for a spell that usually requires some charging by consuming the cartridges.
They could still cast spells normally, with the normal charging and all, but the cartridge system allows them to quickly put in a lot of magic externally via the cartridges and forgo the charging or overcharge the spell. If they had one large cartridge, they would only be able to load once, and it would be a large cartridge worth of magic that could only be used once and the amount of magic dumped in would probably be overkill.
Have 6 smaller cartridges and you can boost the output of your spell 6 times, if not lesser if you use more cartridges for your spell.

As far as I remember BetrayerS, there was nothing showing that Nanoha turned into a bloodthirsty psycho. Hayate was the one commanding/using her to fight Fate and her band of dissidents (and was shown clearly regretting pushing Nanoha that far) in order to push some heretofore-unknown goal.
NanoFate breaking up over anything in canon might be unthinkable (and that's at least in part because of how much money their "together" merch sells), but it's not out of the realm of the possible in canon. They're both fairly (extremely even, in Nanoha's case, see:White Devil incident) willful and determined people, and wouldn't hesitate if they truly believed fighting each other was for the others' good.

The key isn't the Harlaowns, but rather, the connections of the Harlaowns.
They probably have connections to the other admirals and other big shots.
The church would be one hell of a power, and the church packs quite the firepower, then Vivio's second coming of Jesus status comes in.
>>144446675
Well, Arisa was mostly a background character. Yuuno was the one who introduced Nanoha to magic and essentially kick-started the series.
Overall though, I guess it'd be a much different show if it focused even marginally more in him/her.
>>144446746
We're never going to find out how Yuuno ended up with Raising Heart.

>>144446862
Wow, pretty nice fan theory. I got to say I wish that was true.
It only has few possible improvements, like Arf getting delolified and Lynith getting her tail and ears back.
>>144446743
The connections of one (not even particularly large) family don't amount much when you consider the TSAB consists of HUNDREDS of worlds at a conservative estimate, not to mention all the"unregistered" ones it simply monitors, like Earth.
I will never understand the hate the shipping brings in people, sometimes I wished Tsuzuki made Nanoha a boy and Fate a girl or other way around, just so the hate coming from some people against girl/girl main pairing would stop and we could enjoy this Nanoha fandom in peace, than instead getting many anons specially baiting and trolling others as even this thread shows out of some sick spite cause my pairing didn't happen or wasn't even in the running reasoning or jsut for poor reaction.
So many years passed, Nanoha and Fate are still together as either BFF/married couple and there still exist people who can't stop hating that development, it's really pathetic in a way.

2) Is it similar to Nanoha? Is it different? In what way?
>>144447029
>Nanoha and Fate are still together as either BFF/married couple
If you're talking about canon, they're together both as a married couple and best friends, not as "either".
>>144447044
>Nanoha is given a magical weapon that can destroy entire cities
>Never asks why

Nanoha isn't very inquisitive, is she.
>>144447199
>1) Is Symphogear worth watching?
>2) Is it similar to Nanoha? Is it different? In what way?
It's more fun in the stupid way, at least Nana has her fun being the Sword and making 4th and 5th season possible.
I would say Nanoha is more gay though.
I wish there was some crossover between Nanoha and Symphogear
>>144447199
It's corny and self-aware to the point of being completely serious about how silly it is with singing idols saving the world from a new threat each season.
The writing does hobble on unsteady legs as far as episode screenplay goes but it's far less bumpy ride when marathoned as single seasons.
>>144415456
If i remember right he wasn't massively disliked in the fandom till the ship wars went full retard and his fanboi's started ramming this fannon

You could say that
>>144447385
That was just the warning shot.
>>144447400
The things that Nanoha seems to sweat are:
A) How to get the cute girl
B) How to get stronger
I suppose she's just someone with a one-track mind.
>>144446723
>Nanoha and Chrono
Might be because I essentially marathoned the first season so I could watch the movies, but I never saw that happening. I thought there might be a false flag Fate/Chrono ship for a bit, but that didn't end up happening either. Then again, it's not like Chrono had much screentime to begin with. He only tied with Yuuno in StrikerS, and that barely.

>>144447473
I get to die with Fate's scent on my fingers. I have no regrets.

>>144447613
The chart goes like this, Nanoha.
(who is she supposed to be teaching?)
>>144447376
Yeah I blame old AS fags for making me dislike Yuuno.
I underatsnd he is a boy, you don't like that Nanoha didn't end with him or Chrono, but honestly you don't have to cry about it in every Nanoha thread or discussion for next 10 years saying that Yuuno was the best thing ever about the franchise only cause he was a boy(who looked like a girl anyway and seeing Vivid still is).
It's the same shitty anons who praised Touma as best MC only cause he was a boy at the time till even them stopped posting seeing how bad of a story Force turned to be.
It's really stupid reasoning, my fanfiction didn't become canon so I will shit on everything from now till everyone will admit it's 'canon' now!
Yuunoha fans are actually much worse than rabid NanoFate shipper by quite a big margin seeing some past AS and FFnet dsicussions.

Now imagine Yukarin having to play Nanoha role for years without getting any of Nana's ass and just be teased all the time...
And then get a role in Cross Ange and see Nana being fucked by some Fukuda self-insert fantasy...
Anyone would finally fed up and leave.
>>144447737
That's...pretty out there, alright.
>>144447727
For me it wasn't that they wanted yuno with Nanoha it's that they didn't want him but rather this twisted perfect image of him that shared
nothing save the name, haircolour and the fact he turned into a ferret with the yuno shown in the series.
The fact they flipped the fuck out if you didn't join the echochamber with them even if you didnt like N/F just made the endless spam
worse. Nowadays you don't see them around much though i think they mostly sit on whatevers left of the old TFF site.
>>144447727

I guess I lucked out, I was essentially introduced to Nanoha through WIW threads on RPG.net.
>>144447887

If only she had paid attention.
>>144447918
It started like that yes but calling it spiraling would be an understatement. You had them spamming multiple sites and starting huge shitfests for months.
Anyone who was on the sidelines quickly grew to hate the character purely because of how rabid the shippers were and how many
threads they ruined.
>>144447982
I remember being introduced it on /a/ when A's was ending its airing and then binged on it and wondered why I hadn't done it earlier despite having it on hdd.
>>144447982
I watched it because of /a/ and had years of fun discussions there afterward. I came in at a good time when Nanoha threads were unspoken generals where you could discuss anything from AUs to weapons without much fuss.
>>144448718
>could discuss anything from AUs to weapons without much fuss.
How much can you actually discuss? It seems there isn't a metric ton of this stuff that eventually you'll burn out fairly quickly even with all the supplementary material.
>>144449357
Back then you had stuff being released fairly often.
The reason Nanoha went to shit is because they never killed or wrote off enough of the cast and it just bloated and became pointless. It would be a step in the right direction to kill off the old cast with no serious to drive conflict in the new story.

>>144451914
Refresh my memory on why we have no BDs yet?
>>144451968
Unknown. Long gap between S1 and S2 might have been a reason, although I still find it a bad decision, so it doesn't make *that much* sense.
>>144451678
>vivid BD
>>144452059
Other possibilities include that no-one cared enough about Vivid, or something complicated happening behind the scenes because of/causing Yukarin's departure?
>>144452166
>something complicated happening behind the scenes because of/causing Yukarin's departure
That I think we can rule out, that wouldn't stop them from releasing (getting money from) the discs of already finished work.
>>144452294
Then what has been coming between them and their otakubux?
>>144452354
No idea. Rework of a lot of animation wouldn't take that long I think (not a year+. How long has it taken for StrikerS DVDs?).
I think that timing to tie-into season2 is the only rational reason that can be inferred.
Them abandoning them out of fear it won't pay back for the price of pressing is a possibility but I think very very low. Most of the costs are in the actual animation, not in authoring and pressing.
I WANT TO FUCK NOVE

Speaking of the cats, there is a doujin where they have their way with Chrono, then when he drags himself away, he meets Amy, and after that his mom comes to have it with him, topped with Admiral Letty after that.
