I want to
kissKyoko's burned hands and call her beautiful.
What was Hope's Peak Academy's endgame? Did we really need an Ultimate Hope? The world seemed fine until they started getting into brainwashing and memory-deleting
She might not like it, but she can't help it
What happened to the REAL Kamukura Izuru, The Founder and the first principal of Hope's Peak? Does he have a relative or descendant that attend this school? There's no way that his family doesn't involved in this mess.
Even during DR1 it was implied that the entire Hope vs Despair conflict was just complete bullshit, and since then we've had more and more characters end up thinking exactly that.
I'd pay big bucks to watch Kirigiri go full Yan for Naegi with the entire killing game being the basis for it.
Probably the old man who runs the future foundation.
Naegi won't like it, like at all.
But I really hope she gets relevant in the story in some way. Since there's no trials this time, she won't get to use much of her detective skills after all.
Would be great if all those white despair speculah turns out to be true.
>Since there's no trials this time
Then what's the point of the "killing game"?
If there's no trials, then how do they get out? If they can't get out by killing someone, what's the incentive to kill? I'm so confused.
all i can picture is this when i see this image
Will the DR1 kids get cameos? We can see Mukuro in the opening, plus this is the only chance we can get anything from the dead DR1 kids.
I just want these two to meet because they think of the exact opposite of how talent works. Nagito thinks that people are born with either talent or no talent and that only talented people are worthy and there is no way to change it. Meanwhile Ishimaru believes that there is no such thing as talent, and that as long as you set your mind to it you can accomplish anything you want with effort. He thinks of himself as just an ordinary person, and that anyone has the ability to succeed just as much as any genius.
Would Ishimaru have been able to convince Hajime to not go with the Izuru procedure? Would be interesting for Hajime to reflect on their discussion too, considering how much the idea of talent bothers him so much.
I still think that Izuru's actual views that he espoused in Chapter Zero may have been atleast somewhat rooted in what Hajime already believed. It goes beyond mere lack of confidence or the ability to succeed, Izuru felt that Talentless people were genuinely worthless and that it was the duty of people with Talent to lead the evolution of the world.
I think you might be the one that needs to go there. Just imagine how embarrassed she would be the entire time. She would be way too cute and I would probably die of a heart attack from it. All the bacon grease wouldn't help either.
Aside from Junko & Mukuro I mean. She already had a plot of her own, on the otherhand there's not much reason for guys like Celeste or Leon to start interacting with the DR2 cast.
Actually Chihiro might get something too I guess.
>Goes to reddit to see their reaction.
>Sees *this* post.
>Junko loved Matsuda more than Despair.
Waifufaggots at its finest.
Basically this. Nagito has the perspective of somebody who is constantly riding some luck roller coaster. Add some of the fact that in his universe, HOPE and DESPAIR were tangible concepts people cared about even before Junko. So he approaches life like any day could be his last, and he has no patience for what her perceives as something outside the hope despair dichotomy.
If you find yourself agreeing with Nagito's worldview, you're wrong.
His entire ideology is based on circular reasoning and the state of the world shows the outcome. All he wants is an arms race between hope and despair and doesn't care if the world gets leveled in the process.
I'd personally go in the opposite direction, I don't think she ever loved Matsuda. I don't think she's capable of true love it even true despair. The big contradiction with her, the one DR0 points out, is that it's paradoxical to hope for despair like she does. If she pursues despair, and she gets off on it, she's not really despairing, because it's what she wants.
To me she conned Matsuda the entire time because he was the "boyfriend she'd kill for more despair." She never loved him, she loved the despair she'd get from killing him.
She only got despair from the act because she loved him though. She also loved Mukuro and got despair from that too. The point being that Junko's idea of love is completely fucking assbackwards (and yeah she absolutely did not love Matsuda more than Despair, that tumblr guy's an idiot)
All her fat goes to her tits. It's fine.
Reggie: PLAY THE GAME
>Reggie: PLAY THE GAME
Ayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy this is super ironic
That's the thing, I don't think she really gets despair from it. It's not like she's lying or anything, it's just what Junko feels and calls despair is hollow and not true despair. She doesn't know what true despair is because she doesn't value anything enough to fell genuine sadness over its loss. I don't think she loved Mukuro, she loved the despair Mukuro would bring with her death. She never loved her classmates, she loved the despair they'd bring from the killing game.
This is just my interpretation and I know most people don't agree with it. I just think Junko's not really... She works in a way that's different than most people, even in ways she doesn't realize.
>this coming from the hiyokofag
Your "joke" is shit, everyone in that sense is flat.
With me. I feel that Junko did love Matsuda but that was only because she wanted to experience the Despair of killing someone you'd call a "boyfriend". It was nothing more than an experiment on Despair for her. I mean she was the one who approached him first and fucked his mother up to do so.
Fuck off idiot, those blocks were 3D
Use her death as a stepping stone to true hope anon!
That's exactly how it is.
The simulation in DR2 had multiple layers. Naegi, Kirigiri and Togami "escaped" into one layer, and former Despair went into the separate one. It's like what Matrix was supposed to be.
I feel like she will die unless she does something no one expect.
In my mind, the closest Junko gets to 'real' despair, the one you me and everybody else in DR other than her can feel, is at the end of SDR2. You know, when Hajime refuses to play the Hope/Despair game and she's legitimately angry that this bullshit that shouldn't be possible is happening. That's the most interesting Junko moment in the series for me because it's the one time she comes off as even remotely human. Go watch that end, I'm on my phone so I'm not gonna link it. She just kinda bitterly remarks that finally her cycle of despair can end.
To be completely honest, I still don't 100% understand why she reacts like this. Every interaction with her up to that point, you'd think she'd be happy as fuck to be defeated like that. But she isnt. Is it because it's the first time she's not in control of her own destiny, is it because Hajime has decided to live for neither hope nor despair? Who the fuck knows, but that's the best Junko moment IMO
The thing is, she is basically an info dump, kind of like Rin from f/sn so they basically have to keep her along so that she could explain to the audience what's happening and what the goal is etc. She could be the final death but I do think she will live for a while/not die at all.
You seem to have posted the wrong girl. Allow me to correct you
>you can't do anything you set your mind to
Those are just excuses. Ishimaru came from literally nothing and everything against him. His family was ostracized because of his grandfather's debt, so everybody believed that all Ishimaru's were worthless. He came from a lower class family, so he had no luxuries to try and get better. But despite everything, he was able to get into Hope's Peak. He is a proof of his own ideals because he overcame those odds himself, and he is willing to go out and prove that to everyone else and support them too.
looks like you accidently uploaded the wrong girl, let me fix that for you
I bet it ends with the Despair Remains transform into the New Hope students. Mark my words , the actual Hope Students were fucked the moment they actually started killing people which has made them Seeds of Despair in turn.
She's the best DR2, but I think anon was posting the overall best, so he didn't make a mistake.
He was still scouted out by Hope's Peak and deemed to have Talent though. It's Japan's weird thing they like to do of having a character whose "skill" is working hard (not the other way around like what you're saying, even if it's not all that different when looking at it practically)
I see, I see.
You have also somehow posted the incorrect girl. I must fix this rught away
Chihiro made AIs in a days, and probably made the one seen in DR2 because Junko promised a feel.
He probably has a invisibility gadget or something, Junko probably used it reach Izuru
I'm just reiterating how Ishimaru himself sees it. He even says himself that he doesn't have a talent, which is why he sees Naegi as his equal because they aren't like the rest of their classmates else.
goodness, you must have let your finger slip, clearly this is supposed to say Ibuki < Mikan
He'll show up to present a Kokeshi Dynamo to everyone to see their reactions, and then go back to his private island.
You know, the open end of the inequality sign should be facing the greater object
So in actuallity, it should be Ibuki > Mikan
Will they ever explain the transformation him and Ishimaru do?
Reminder that Nidai's a better pillow than Akana and slutmiki
>Anon saving my pics
it's time to stop fighting
You have to realize the only two people Junk is confirmed for killing herself is her sister and her boyfriend, the two people she actually loved.
and killing the two people she actually loved gave her a huge despair boner.
But you also shouldnt really try to rationalize or understand someone who is batshit insane.
Well, he was straight and his dick was touched by 2 women before being sent to the freezer, Junko maybe fucked corpse because it was prettiest one at the time.
Addionally, barring AEgo who is basically a force ghost out of tech.
Chihiro has only female daughters and Usami suggesting everyone get in bath suits and the this is not /ss/ with Hajime makes me think he was a Sith Lord in disguise, hell his beta version even looked like Count Dooku mixed with Chihiro.
Not saying the guy is evil, but a lot of his tool was used for wrong, and i can see that thinking with the dick is a huge factor in decision making.
Did they not consult the DR1 character charts for comparisons when doing the SDR2 cast? There is no way that Hajime and Gundam is more ripped than a biker gang leader.
Togami did his own shit too. Everyone else was too retarded
The point is that everyone tried to find the truth to save it's own skin and they have to agree to a consensus, so ultimately it doesn't matter who find out stuff first.
It's established Mukuro's flatter than Junko, and one ofthe reasons Junko couldn't keep her in the game because she generally wasn't convincing enough with all those magazines lying around.
Even his legs are pretty thick
>They killed Sayaka and Leon because they got tired of looking at them, since they were the base for all the male and female characters
>They killed Hiyoko because having two characters go through character development at the same time is too much
Sometimes I question the staff
>chiaki carries a lot in DR2
Fuck off it was Nagito who MADE that game.
All the top highlights were scenes from him.
I'm not saying that they don't have some muscle, but more than Mondo? The official art doesn't show that they are anywhere near as close to Mondo's level. Even Ishimaru is drawn with more more muscle than they are.
>anons unironically think what he did was right
DR1's problem is the cases
Good motive, good character beats, stupidly patronizingly easy
Good motive, good character beats, no real problem with this case except Kyoko solving the most important part herself
Worst motives, worst character beats, everyone walks out of the case looking worse for it, very easy
Shitty motive, shitty character beats, Aoi is forever ruined because of this case. Sakura comes off great though.
1-5 and 1-6 are basically one class trial and it's fine
Gundham surviving(worst case) > everyone giving up on their lives
Very low quality bait, anon. You truly are slothful.
Nah, otherwise he would have tried something like framing someone else. I think it's pretty clear he was just being chuuni until and treated the class trial as some ultimate showdown between him and the others or something like that.
I get why some people prefer DR1 more and all but what you're saying was basically my personal issue with DR1 too. Loved the atmosphere, loved a lot of motivations involved, but I didn't really enjoy any of the actual cases at all.
GRAVEL IN THE FUCKING SWIMSUIT
I WASTED TWO HOURS OF MY LIFE ON THAT FUCKING BULLSHIT
Mukuro is best girl
I'm still sad that she was killed off in such a way
Looking forward to seeing her get conned by best boy.
>tfw she is prooobably going to die in the same episode she's introduced.
ON THE MEAT BONE
ON THE BONE MEAT
WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT
>Komaru actually takes Touko away from Byakuya
I just finished AE and it was a good ride thanks to them but I can't say it was a game anywhere near as good as the main series, sadly.
I frankly HATE the kid antagonists and I didn't quite get my Junko or even Monokuma dose with this.
I thought Monaca was a fun antagonist
it was nice having a villain where they actually show them doing villanous things instead of it just being alluded to or being hearsay all the time as is the norm
>it was Nagito who MADE that game.
The beginning of Despair's first ep pretty much rolls right off of the ending of Future's first ep, though not in the way you'd expect
It's about as silly as it is edgy to be honest.
>canisters on the back of the guitar
Also, I liked this callback picture.
Talents only really means much when you're a kid. Once you're out in the big world, you're fucked without connections that let you actually apply your talents and even then you might up spending your whole life as someone unrecognized.
Uchikochi wrongly advertised ZTD as being newcomer friendly though, so there's that bad excuse for those guys atleast
DR3 is literally being advertised as following on from DR1&2 and being for the already established fanbase
The kids were actually some of my favorite part of the game, up there with Komaru and Touko's interactions. They actually felt really evil, and also had good moments and backstories.
There was a Warriors of Hope cameo too so I'm guessing it pays to have played UDG. Ditto for Zero since it's inevitable that Matsuda or one of the other students from it will appear.
>We might see Ryouko at the end
You gotta believe anon. Best boy will return.
Ryouko is a qt 3.14 that deserves at least her own OVA
It would be weird if they really both survive though, no?
Who else should die for maximum despair
Did he do that by telling her she was someone else or by implanting memories? Sorry if I sound like a broken record, but it's stemming back to the question of Nagito reading about Chiaki online. If you can't implant memories then it's pretty much guaranteed she was real, but I'm wondering how people justified it before the anime suggested that was possible.
He did it by giving her a notebook named "Ryouko Otonashi's Memory Book"
Also, why not just read Zero? It's not that long.
The thing is she's kind of powerless in this killer game, unless some completely unexpected plot regarding her happens I think Kodaka will just kill her off.
As much as I hate it
I just need Asahina to make it out OK. That's all I need, please.
I'd be surprised if she didn't.
With all the screentime she got in the opening and ending, I think it's very possible.
Yes that's my reasoning behind it, kinda stupid I'll admit but I love analyzing these things.
You all said she was the first death, and that didn't happen. I'm gonna believe in my waifu. She'll be OK.
Ok, so that creates the plausible deniability that people used beforehand. I don't think the anime has presented us with any strong evidence to suggest that she was real yet, with that being the case. Gonna have to wait for more info to decide one way or the other.
>Nagito didn't actually say anything about her
He's talking about the part where Nagito mentions that he researched HPA online (like Makoto did), not the part where you first meet Chiaki in the hotel/game room.
I have a gut feeling there's going to be 2 traitors.
>No Bully-kun yet
I don't know if I should be happy or worried.
But he didn't die first. And he's clearly the rival character who is meant to come off as a douchebag initially but as it goes on you start thinking that maybe he's not so bad. He's closer to Togami
>There's people who actually believe the ultimate animator is twogami's real identity
What the fuck? have you not been paying attention? have you not played the games? he's the ultimate imposter, he doesn't have an identity, he's ALWAYS assuming the identity of someone else, that's who he is, he might talk like himself here and there, but we'll never truly see who he is behind the costume.
>i lived to see Mahiru and Saionji interact with each other again
I WANT TO CRY ANON...
Would you share a Dr. Hopper with Hopeman?
I would help him drink all those dr hoppers
>Sending Soda's family to their death
I'm not working for despair so never.
This. I'm shocked by people who think he was always the Ultimate Animator. Fuck even in the anime, when his name gets displayed, there is a question mark next to it, implying he isn't that character because we know he's the ultimate impersonator because WE PLAYED THE 2ND GAME!
Im guessing there's people who are watching the anime without having played any of the games lol.
But even without playing the games, the fact that you get to see the animator on the future anime before the despair anime should be enough to let you know that they're not the same person.
He was already messed up in there. He's just being quiet.
Remember, the personalities you see in DR2 are the ones they had in high school. So he's totally fucking insane already.
They're gonna hate-fuck so hard they'll demolish a building and then come to the conclusion that joining forces is the best for both
>Junko will feel despair at having that madman running around causing trouble
>Nagito will cause despair and force a bigger hope to arise
I...don't think the DR2 cast will ever wake up lads...I want it to happen, but it would make their deaths in the game kind of meaningless, wouldn't it? it would make the entire game a little meaningless in general...but i do really want them back
All the survivors from the second game are supposed to be awake and in the island where the neo world program was implemented into the kids.
So, the ones who haven't woken up are the kids who died in the game. Their brains are dead, but their bodies are supposed to be intact
It's okay, Kodaka will let us have our happy end right? Right?
Everything will be fine Hajime, dont lose
That's true.Don't think robot feels anything when they die.
Yeah his sickness could of caught up to him.
Though he could of been lying about that.
Yeah they all have a small chance but, the ones I mention have a higher chance than the average due to their situation or for Nagito case his Ultimate skill.
I got the impression that this was just Fuyuhiko being affectionate to be honest. Stuff like Nidai calling himself the Ultimate Chiropractor is the same sorta thing.
How is this manlet so lucky
>redoing trial 6
>"an avatar that has been deleted can't be restored and uploaded into their real bodies...so they'll never wake up"
IT'S OVER LADS, THEY'RE DEAD
>Chiaki somehow survives the Zetsubou arc
>However, the experience is not pleasant for her. The real her utterly despises the Remnants of Despair
>She's plots to kill all the remnants in the Future arc.
how would you feel about this? Would you despair?
and later it's said that there's a ridiculously small chance, you know what that means
>bombings in Baghdad
>sniper in Texas
ITS HAPPENING ANONS! HERE COMES THE DESPAIIIIIIIR
