To be fair Komi's character design's aren't as complex as a lot of other manga, he uses few lines.
I mean he can make some complex looking outfits,but the characters themselves could be easily replicated by a child.

I think we all saw this coming from chapter 1, that main heroine would win it was obvious. I think the biggest issue with that is the size of the manga that took the obvious route, they could've wrapped this up in less than 50 chapters with this ending and i'd had been content, but instead they dragged it out to 200+ and THEN took the obvious route. Oh please, the ending of Ichigo 100% was mediocre at best. Of all the misunderstandings they had, that one broke the stalemate and suddenly found himself in Tsukasa's arms, who barely had an appearance in the previous volumes except the first few. I found myself laughing at that point.

purely from a narrative standpoint (if we're going to go so far as to grant nisekoi the privilege of being called a "narrative") onodera is the weakest character of all. her development for 90% of this was static--up until the point when she realized how chitoge felt about raku, she was at a standstill in every respect. all throughout nisekoi she never mustered up the courage to be honest with raku & co., nor did she even make attempts to.

in terms of chitoge vs. onodera it's a no goddamn brainer. chitoge has developed ten times over and i would definitely point to her as an example of a tsundere done correctly at this stage in the game. like, she started out as the generic violent archetype and in the past ~30 or so chapters we've seen her become someone who recognizes her poor (and oftentimes violent) ways of dealing with situations and is even able to apologize for them. she has recognized her shortcomings and we've seen her struggles to overcome them. chitoge is an interesting character, and even though this manga offers nothing new or compelling by any means it is refreshing to see the tsundere archetype develop and mature into a girl who actively tries to acknowledge and accept her feelings in an honest manner.

tl;dr: onodera a shit, chitoge is an infinitely better character, marika is still my favorite
