Episode 16 is "A Pig's Desire"
"Buta no Yokubō" ( 豚の欲望 )
Look, if Rem and Emilia can be friends, why can we be as well, remfags? Make love not war
Looking back at the first episode and this shot terrifies me now.
>After he died, Subaru once again found himself in the strange place with the shadowy woman like figure, and once he realized it as a woman, he was filled with emotion, though he found himself unable to approach it. Sensing this, the shadow reached out to him, then when it touched him, it told him that it loved him.
This is something that happened in the LN and WN after he dies to Puck once again at the end of episode 15. Apparently he was supposed to catch a glimpse of this after he lost consciousness after Roswaal saves him from the wolfs in forest. In that one, he couldn't hear what she said though.
Why leave something that looks like it's foreshadowing something extremely big and a connection between Satella and Subaru?
Can't wait for the Subaru is still shitty post continue while everyone expect him to be badass or something after episode 15
Reading this detailed spoilers, I ask, who the fuck are they going to fit all that in the remaining episodes? They are going to have to cut a lot of shit
What would your reaction be if Rem returned in the WN shortly after this season ended?
>Can anyone explain to me why Ram makes my dick hard as a rock while Ram leaves me completely flaccid?
Because Ram is like a knock off Rem then you see her on the clown cock and it all goes down hill.
That's not entirely the context
Al calls Rem Ram
Rem corrects "No, Ram is my sister's name"
Al "You're kidding me right? Aren't you Ram?"
To which Rem says no, and asks if he's met her sister somewhere.
Al mutters to himself "This girl is Rem.. and her older sister is Ram?"
Then he asks "this may be a weird question but.. is your sister alive?"
To which Rem tells him yes.
This is when Al looks furious "You got to be kidding me...!!"
So he's not pissed that Ram is alive, he's pissed that one of the sisters are alive.
Which likely has something to do with this not being what he "expected".
Al is likely a
looper like Subaru.
>Al hates Ram
I wonder what she did. Did she bully him so much he developed a death wish towards her?

I doubt that Al is colorblind, so that makes me wonder exactly what their relationship is. He clearly knows something about them, but not enough to clearly distinguish the two.
I'm not sure how you managed to get a rock hard flaccid dick, but congratulations on that.
ok. last one was supposed to be Rem.
For some reason i find Ram way hotter than Rem.
It seems like a different kind of looping though.
Subaru dies and the entire world resets back to a designated checkpoint, while Al dies and it's almost like someone rewinded a cassette. No one else gets sent back, nor do they forget what happened. Al just pops back up and starts replaying the shit he was saying and doing shortly before his death.
When Subaru asks Priscilla for help she said she might consider it if he licks her foot and Subaru was going to do that but then she kicks him in the face and says he relies too much on others and is like a Pig
It's rather simple.
In the future Al "knows" only Ram exist.
But here he meets Ram's twin sister Rem, which is not supposed to happen.
Apparently that difference has some grave significance to Al
> see through dress
Im ready for this
You want to be cucked by a clown wearing more makeup then Gene Simmons.
Well, of course. It's because Rem isn't for you and you aren't for her.
We don't know, since this Al's thing happens in the next episode, long before Rem gets "eaten".
It could be that in Al's original future Rem was eaten too and he only knew Ram to exist, so this may have been a foreshadow to Rem getting eaten at the end of this arc.
What are the chances that Reinhardt would jump at the chance to lose all of his blessings, and wants to win the candidacy because it'll give him the chance to request a favor from the dragon?
>Why leave something that looks like it's foreshadowing something extremely big and a connection between Satella and Subaru?
It makes it too obvious? The witch hands are enough
What? Can you please say that again? Only this time, please don't be slothful in your interpretation.
There's a rumor(Or maybe a fact?) that the last episode will be an hour along. Whitefox/Tappei/The people who funded this are deadly serious when it comes to this adaptation. With sales being this good I don't doubt we'll get a season 2 either.
I didn't know you could revive after death, anon, jesus why are you not making the world a better place with such a wonderful power?
THis shit is getting complex. Just imagine if this story is the tale of two returners by death fine tuning all the conditions to benefit themselves, and it turns out many of the things that happened in the story where somehow set up by Al using knowledge from HIS previous loops.
Can't wait to find out the turth in 8 years when this ends.
I kind of think Al serves as an example of how Subaru is likely to turn out physically, especially since he's missing an arm on the same side that
Subaru's own is blackened and corrupted.
Did this one ever get translated? I know the first page was.
Al is disgusted because in his future, Rem doesn't exist. He only know the one sister that he most likely met in the future.and thats Ram, but now in the present he sees Rem, something that doesn't comprehend in his mind.
Will most likely be touched upon later.
Al can't be Subaru or else he would most likely try to aid him in some way, which he hasn't so far. He could be someone else unrelated but he clearly has something to do with this entire mystery.
Well unless he is Subaru and knows if he alters thing now he will not become the same person he is, and leaves it alone until he knows he needs to act. That also leaves the question of do the scars that Al has match with the ones Subaru will gain later?
So, what if Al has return by death too, but he was more careful and only found out about it when he died much later in his life and got sent back to the beggining, just after he had been summoned into the world, and he is been forced to relive his whole life again?
Holy shi, this guy is experience much more suffering than Subaru
I'm just beginning to catchup, but were people really that angry at Emilia or was that just memes?
Clearly the whole situation is Suburu's fault
i'm fairly sure
he knows he has return by death, but his is like a super heal that brings him back and time doesn't return. Like, you killed him mid sentence, he comes back, and starts finishing the sentence where he was, and everyone else who saw it would have seen him come back to life.
Something's wrong with his face man.
Nah, he was clearly expecting too much considering what she knew in this time loop. And he was pretty much forcing her to accept staying by his side because of debts. I can understand why he got desperate, but it was still his fault.
Prepare yourself for episode 15 if you're catching up now.
That indeed is the most plausible interpretation of what happens in the extr story, but I was trying to give a possible explanation of why he mistakes rem for ram, but maybe that's no good either, I don't know
Be honest with me /a/, just watched 5 consecutive eps of this show because the last time I trusted you with Konosuba I was absolutely delighted, but the first 5 eps of this were really boring, does it get any better?
Anon first of all, if you go into a thread about a certain show, most people will tell you it's good, doesn't mean you yourself will like it.
The first 5 episodes already gave you an idea of what this is going to be about, if you want, keep watching, but otherwise don't expect much different.
Episode 15 is extremely good though.
Well if you find the first 5 episodes boring then not really until the latest episode. Just watching this guy was comedy gold.
Well, this situation is his fault but lets look at it objectively, he's just human who's seen some shit but really can't tell Emilia about it.
That episode 15 was really directed well.
It's like something you see out of a well made film.
Well the last ep was full of QUALITY, so I expected more QUALITY episodes.
>Arc 3 AU has Rem
letting her hair grow long and wanting Subaru to keep loving her with no past regrets, with the children they have being a kind of anchor to keep good dad Subaru around and happy
>Arc 4 AU has Emilia
cutting her hair short, imitating Rem and becoming overly dependent on an emotionally dead Subaru like some kind of basket case
You have to consider the fact that she hasn't experienced even half the things Subaru has.
Still, she's treating him like someone she can order around when I thought she thought of him as a friend and that's shitty.
But she doesn't know that you fucking autist. And I mean that in the literal sense. If you can't comprehend why a character in a book or movie or tv show doesn't know all that you, the reader, knows, you're goddamn autistic.
And she didn't order him to stay, she asked him, as a friend, to not go to the castle.
yes, Matsuse Daichi, the manga artist
Arc 1, Outo no Ichinichi-hen & arc 3, Truth of Zero
Subaru, the official twitter account reached 80,000 followers!
That's great Emilia-tan but how do you know what a twitter is?
And why is everyone wearing uniform? Wait how do you know how to use smartphones!?
No, Betelgeuse just appreciates love in general.
Because what drove him mad was being forced to kill his own wife years ago by the cult. It's also the reason he was crying when he said Subaru was the one who killed her. Probably reminded him of what he did to his own wife.
Isn't Season 2 a shoe in at this point, seems like White Fox really believes they hit the jackpot with Re Zero.
So when do you think will Season 2 happen? Maybe in 2-3 years?
Both are "What if's" Subaru X Rem branching off from somewhere, which is not established yet.
And the Emilia one branches off in arc 4 and it's a bad end
which shows what would have happened if Subaru accept the witch of greed's proposal to min/max his own power.
This hasn't been TLed and typesetted as well.
I hope we see all of his glory. He is too sexy and best for this series or any series.
80% of those have already been TLed and typesetted anon.
He loved her, he liked to be with her all the time and acted like a father to Emilia. At first glance, it can be seen as a happy family but they were not really in a relationship.
She wasn't his wife, she was Emilia's foster mother (aunt). They had mutual feelings towards each other.
Emilia knew him as "Juice"
Betelgeuse is driven far too insane to remember any of this though, so don't expect him to recognize the grown up Emilia
Maybe in 6 years if the Ln needs another boost. Most Anime are just a long convoluted advertisment for the LNs nowadays, and are made only insofar they improve LN profits, so sometimes even if the LN is doing well, the boost gained is not worth it.
Poor guy, i guess that's why he also stops to tell Rem that she tried her best but in the end her feelings didn't reach Subaru before she died.
Fortuna, the woman Betelgeuse loved, was Emilia's aunt, they lived together around 100 years ago. Betelgeuse was always around and they were pretty much her parent figures. Until the cult killed everyone, and something happened that made her freeze her entire village and herself for years. Until she comes back and finds Puck, who saves her and makes a contract with her.
Thank the anons who TL and typesetted this father/daughter moment.
>They had mutual feelings for each other
Well shit, this just keeps getting worse and worse. Is that why he keeps going on about diligence? Because he never got his own feelings across despite the clear mutual love?
Well, we mostly only as much as Subaru does. He doesn't know why things are happening or what the backstory is, but it's actually interesting to know that there is a backstory there. There's a larger world to which we're pretty much entirely ignorant, but it's there.
Kindly reminder that Rem is for cuddling and marrying.
BIG WHALE WHEN
SPLIT YOU LUNGS WITH BLOOD AND THUNDER
I'M CALLING IT
Reminder that Subaru is for resting on your lap and protecting.
The majority of the witch cult were actually generous and kind (really). When the essence of sin took over, that's when rituals became radical and demonic (burnings, eye gouging, massacre). They are following orders on what they believe to be from Satella. They just believe Satella was god.
Full history of Betelgeuse
400 years ago, Betelgeuse was a good spirit and a friend of Beatrice. She knew him as Juice.
100 years ago Betelgeuse was a Witch Cult member who aided the Elven village. He was close with Emilia's aunt, Foltona. Uncle Juice was a father figure to Emilia.
He became the Bishop of Sloth by consuming the witch factor (which he was not fit for) and tried to fight off two other cult members from attacking the Elven village. One was none other than Regulus, the Bishop of Greed (who Subaru & Reinhardt kill later on) and the other was the Witch of Vainglory, the leader of the cult.
Due to the Witch of Vainglory's ability to manipulate reality to fit her need, Betelgeuse accidentally kills Foltona, his love. This drove Betelgeuse insane.
Shortly after Betelgeuse was driven insane, Emilia loses control of her power upon seeing her aunt's death, and freezes the entire village along with herself.
>The majority of the witch cult were actually generous and kind (really)
Normal members may have been, but there has been nothing indicating the Bishops were.
For as far was we can see some of the bishops were fucking horrible people (especially Lust) centuries ago when they weren't even a bishop.
I'm not sure harem is the right word.
"Be one of my wives or I'll fucking crush your heart and kill you" is straight up sex slave.
But yeah he was probably the second worst asshole Bishop second only to Lust.
Pretty late to Al discussion, but here is my speculation. What do you think? Two timelines represent two mechanics of his respawn.
The witch cult is what our Goddess Satella needs!
PURGE THE HERETICS.
THIS IVORY LEG IS WHAT PROPELS ME
That is not what I expected, now I am disappointed.

Nah, because it's part of Emilia's backstory.
Emilia's origin story is arc 4.
Arc 4 has:
Emilia's origin story
Subaru's origin story
Beatrice's origin story
Roswaal's origin story
This used to be a kind and generous man.
Only thing we get hinting it is Betty muttering "you leave me too, Juice?"
Everyone she loved passes away leaving Betty all alone in her eternal solitude.
The detailed story of Juice doesn't get told until 4th arc with Emilia's flashbacks
That's a bad story element to put in by putting a backstory out of nowhere or right before they die. He is good enough as it is as a villain that represent destructive insanity/nature of being a sin. People don't see apparently and see him as a one-dimensional evil villain for no reason.
Does anyone else ever wonder what goes on inside the mind of people who come up with scenes like this?
I mean, i know i'll be bombarded with edgy replies, but in all seriousness, how is this not torture porn?
I mean the detail here is just insane. Specially compared to how relatively mild and swift Subaru's beheading was. This scene with Rem seems like it's designed by and for people who are getting off to it.
It's pretty simple.
The more detailed/gruesome it is, the more likely people will remember. the more likely people will remember, the more people will want to keep watching it.
It's really not that bad.
All he did was twist her limbs. It's not like it showed her bones sticking out her arms or her eyes falling out her eye sockets.
There's a line between acceptable gore and unnecessary gore.
Unnecessary gore or too extreme was Elfen Lied. That was something I could never like. It's not that I find it sickening, it's just that it disconnects me so much to even care about anything.
I'm trying to remember another example of good application of gore that's /a/ related but I can't right now.
The point is, if it's excessive and there's really no reason to do it, then you're fucking things up and just making things edgy. If you use it well, you can send a deeper message.
It's kind of funny that the AU in which he gives up is the Good End, yet the one in which he decides to die as often as he needs to do everything right and win is the Bad End.
I made by memory but now that I found pastebin at last
>Al claims he already brought out his trump card, saying 'it isn't personal, it was just bad luck... no, bad stars'
Leip casually blast Al with his magic, obliterating his body and leaving only the helmet on the floor. Leip mocks Al's puzzling words and turned to leave the room, just when he hear 'no, bad stars' again.
When Leip turned his back, Al was standing same as before, who was confused where Leip was gone. Leip shoot magic on Al's back killing him for 2nd time, but bewildered himself when he hear 'no, bad stars' for the third time.
Returning to Al's viewpoint, Al repeat his sentence again, confused when Leip suddenly disappear, and found Leip behind, who completely lost his sanity and collapsed. Al casually remarks that this time it was offender's side, and drags Leip out of the room.
So it looks like the second version, time moves forward, Al resets and is confused about Leip seemingly teleporting around. But I heard some anon said how Al fought in arena knowing enemies' moves beforehand. So Al's respawn has two setting, which are apparently out of his control to choose what to use: the traditional one like Subaru except checkpoint is constantly updated to the moment before death probably, and second one where Al is kind of freezed before his death with everything else still moving forward.
>Tappei basically said Subaru will achieve ultimate victory
He'll get ultimate victory all-right. Just not one you re expecting.
He's the dark lord. Soon.
I don't remember, but it seems to be heading that way.
The studio is self censoring scenes, it didn't feel gratuitous to me.
Well, that's true. However, he definitely gave up on getting whatever goal he was originally going for, even if it turned out to be the right thing to do.
If that's the kind of ultimate victory he's getting, he should toss it in the trash.
Yes that's ok. Wether it shows or not matters less. It's how it's that matters.
Another fucking example of gore gone wrong.
This was just sad. I remember this airing and /a/ was just laughing all over the place.
Was not expecting her to confess right then, good shit.
I wouldn't mind it if he was seen using fire. Fire is more better than Ice at killing and wounding. It also hurts like fuck. Also, he was called the "beast of the eternally frozen lands in the manga"
Would Beatrice be safe in her library if the world was destroyed?
Someone people can't be killed through burning, notable ones are those who can regenerate. Alot of people can be killed through petrification. Not to mention Tappei is probably trying to do some kinda contrast wit his title, that's possibly deepest lore territory.
>Subaru ends Satella
>everyone accepts him as the hero we wanted to be when he first came to this world
>Emilia is alive and well
>but now he's all alone, because except for Emilia that he forced himself so much to protect, everyone he loved is dead
You become the hero and get your heroine just like you wanted Barusu.
Exactly. No fucking point and it just kills every merit the deaths could ever have.
The beginning of Elfen Lied had the same damn issues. Did it seriously have to depict it? Did add anything?
Those are the questions that should be answered on scenes that depict suffering or brutality.
What is happening there? Is Otto such a bro that it comes off as gay and she's jealous?
Where will you be when Subaru ultimately kills his "children"?
Subaru and Otto go really gay with each other.
What will happen once the anime ends?
I don't think I'll have something else to watch (since BnHA's season 2 is not even close).
I'm kinda scared.
Will we get to see that
Subaru has absorbed Sloth's power into himself by the end of the anime? Or does he only realize that in arc 4? I believe the witch of greed gives him the witch's genes in order to try and improve his control over the authorities he has.
I bet your ass that he has to kill Rem as the price.
How are the production committees reacting to the reception so far?
This just sold 8k and that's pretty good. I just don't want this to be another Maou-sama where it sells really well and we get no continuation.
Only gore we've got was this and a bunch of other obscured scenes.
Because you need to save up all of that good karma for when Subaru asks for Rem's hand in marriage.
I guess it is a bit generic, but I'm not really thinking of something exactly like that. His actions should still be relevant, but there are ways to make everyone in the world forget him. If someone was driven mad by some kind of obsession with him, that kind of thing might actually help save them.
However, someone would have to eat his name for something like that to work.
It boosted the LN sales, that's all that matters.
That Subaru x Rem moment was bullshit.
"SORRY REM, I'M JUST DOING THIS FOR EMILIA".
>tfw another series. another no conclusion.
>read the source material fagit
There's still a difference when you see it animated. LN adaptations were a fucking mistake.
Do oyu know what's odd?
He says that he has given Rem a curse, being that she has fallen for him. Yer he wants Emilia to fall for him while knowing this.
Almost as if he's saying she's too good of a woman for him.
God I love watching shows with /a/. Just when I think I can go back to being a productive person, one of you makes a funny picture or something and I forget what I was supposed to be doing.
>ccropping out Emilia-tan
Go fuck yourself
That would be pretty easy to manage, and in a way that doesn't erase everything of consequence that he's done. I suppose it depends on whether Gluttony powers can be used to give your name to someone you can trust with it.
She literally in an AU
became to dependent on a Subaru who abused his power and failed her trials, breaking her. This leads her to became devoted to him in a disturbed sense...she doesn't think for herself, she needs Subaru for confirmation on everything and she copied Rem's style of hair and "Subaru kun give me a headpat" type of shit to gain his attention. Though its an AU she is so fragile she could become worst girl at any moment.
Holy shit calm down fellow Remfag.
Don't be one of those zealous people.
Honestly with the exception of Maou-sama, White Fox is pretty good about going back to the well if something is successful. I'm slightly more optimistic than I usually would be.
The one where the guy goes to earth and gets a job at MC donalds because he lost all his powers? That one was super good, i wonder why they never tried to continue it.
