Hakuryuu himself just turned his rukh back to white after being depressed for a chapter or two, while his own country has been torn apart thanks to him.

And then even Alibaba apologises to him, even though HE'S the who one smashed a scythe through his face and literally murdered him.

Not once did Hakuryuu even have to say the simple word "sorry". Instead, everyone he fucked over has to say sorry to him, and then forgive him and be his pals as if he didn't do anything wrong. He didn't have to go through any kind of struggle to earn his redemption. He just got it.

I get that it's a Shounen, but Jesus Christ, the lengths an author would go to, to paint a blatant piece of irredeemable shit in some kind of sympathetic light are astounding.
