Is this the girl of the year?
I want to worship Yohane Sama!
I'm going to start praying to her every night and maybe one day she will reward me somehow.
My thoughts exactly.
I want those plushies.
>"Hey guys, Love Live was popular, so let's just make the exact same show but replace all the beloved characters with disabled children. It'll make millions!"
What a cute baka. My sides are reaching Mars anytime soon.
Also what does the poll in >>143587177 say? I can't read moon.
It's like if Love Live was a Kirara manga.
Best faces so far. I can't wait for the doujins. Imagine what her ahegao would look like.
She's already reaching annoying Nico status on /a/.
AFTER ONE EPISODE.
So I'm not the only one who thought that the VA in this particiular scene doesn't quite fit the animation as I felt it was too tame and calm.
Will Love Live Sunshine become the Mai Otome when it literally killed the Mai-franchise?
Can Studio 8 motivate themselves to make good legit franchise.
Ni nen bouli desu ka
>Closest thing to Nico
Of course she's best.
I noticed that too. Her expression was exaggerated but her voice was calm. It made no sense and it was even more jarring when her voice shifted and matched the animation. There was probably a production mixup.
Which is best designed Sunshine and why is it Dia-sama?
I can't blame Dia for wanting to kill herself for spending time with Hanamura, she's an annoying little shit >>143596108
ZURA~! I would've slit her throat, or at least tape her goddamn mouth.
>どうして translated as "wait"
Who the hell is subbing this?
Why would anyone care about Ruby when Maru is superior, even Chika and You agree.
That was fucking beautiful, even better than the original. Seriously, these characters are about twice as likeable as the original characters and the melodrama's a lot funnier this time.
>hipstershitters and manime fags from /v/ actually thought this would be bad
I thought Dia was going to be a bitch, but holy shit.
How can hagfags even compete? Aquours' start is looking way more promising than µ's'.
I'd say it's a tie between backpack-head girl and Ruby so far, but I'm really curious to see who will come out on top.
Where are the lewd imoutos?
This, it was the first thing I thought of when I saw it was airing today.
Judging by Ruby's expression I would say there must be some of Dia's perfectionism in Ruby's blood. Look at them eyes, making a rational analysis of the subject right in front of them.
Maybe Ruby has potential to be just like her sister but having a bitching sister like that holds her down and fucks her self esteem to the point she is a can't accomplish nothing kind of person and therefore a crybaby. On top of that Hanamaru probaly spoils her a lot, further strenghtening her position as a cry baby.
Last but not least, the very fact that she has twintails means that her parents somehow pamper her and want her to be the cute little daughter that Dia wasn't, forcing upon her an image that she is not.
I therefore conclude that within the context of existing affairs, Ruby is in fact just like her sister in terms of personality: perfectionist leadership that is ruthlessly logical - however, there have been countless factors that have pulled her on the opposite direction of where she was meant to go, and now she believes she is supposed to be a cute little princess and be cute to everyone. This of course, results in extremely low self confidence, shyness and the such. If my analysis is correct then I predict that, in the future, there could be some sort of development episode in which Ruby drops off her masks and shows her true colours. Symbolically, this would be marked by Ruby stopping having twintails as her hair style.
>Aliens want Yohane to go back to her home planet
>Idols unit against them and make them give up that idea thanks to the power of friendship and a song about cultural exchange.
Don't know why she is so unpopular even on /a/.
removing Nico was the best thing ever
Wow, the show is actually really really good. It's taking it's own form instead of just copying and pasting the original series. Something I love to see in a spin-off. The characters are also very original and none of them (besides the student council president) really follow a character archetype. The more scenes I see with each character really makes me like them more, and with this kind of show that's all what it's about. These characters will be grasping the same amount of love that I have for the first series characters, I can already see it. Great first episode.
For anyone who hasn't watched it yet, download it now: https://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=826244&showcomments=1aa2dd99#c566046
I watched ten minutes into the episode and shut it off. All of the characters are incredibly obnoxious and seem like they were designed to be entirely one-dimensional.
Moar blushing Ruby
I don't really like the Aquors to be honest. None of them resonate with me nearly as much as Uni, Maki, and Nico did straight from the get go. I think their designs are just pretty bland and uninspired as well. I thought maybe the anime would make me like them more, but episode 1 didn't really do anything for me. Yoshiko's faces were cute though
>It's taking it's own form instead of just copying and pasting the original series
Yes, most of the older Love Live girls were also shit, but at least they were tolerable.
Really impressed, art direction was great and the cast is fucking goofy.
>ruby following the paper
>prez slamming her hand down
>introducing the english character
>chika kaiju gao~
>It's taking it's own form instead of just copying and pasting the original series.
>main character is a genki orange-haired girl
>her childhood friend is a cute gray-haired girl
>student council president doesn't want to let them make an idol group
>a red-haired girl who can play the piano appears
>there's a pair of first years who are very close friends
Did I miss anything?
I'm being serious! Sure it's making references to the first series through it's characters but I think that was meant to be done on purpose, not to copy and paste but just for a cool reference.
In my deep desire to run away from Ha-Na-Ma-Ru which discovered a little dark secret of my past, I have been studying black magic for hours now, and I have finally discovered a way to travel to this upper dimension trough a portal I could only open using bat wings and dead flowers. And I have to say I am seriously disappointed. What a tremendous waste of effort upon my heighness it was to believe that this upper dimension would anyhow deserve my hellborn grace. There's barely anyone who actually recognizes me when I walk on the streets, everyone looks like a flat blob and those who do actually recognize me think I am some sort of "voice actor" as you inferior humans of the 3D realm like to say. What is worse is that some of you dare to suggest that some of my schoolmates are in fact superior to me. This is dishonor to Yohane's image, and I will cast a spell of misery and sorrow that shall last for a thousand centuries upon this dimension UNLESS all of you humans agree to start worshipping me as your one and only superior deity. I will now assemble my army of demonic minions to help me create a portal back to my dimension, and I seriously don't want to ever come back to this place. Good bye.
Have you picked your idolfu?
Begone with (You)
>YOU ARE LITERALLY WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE WORLD
You is perfect, faggot
I cried too.
Why are all the MCs retarded genki orange heads?
Sorry, but I've spent lots of hours spent on watching chinese cartoons and I'd have to disagree.
Not that there's anything wrong with non-original characters.
I mean, Kuromukuro has the most run of the mill archetypal characters but the character interaction makes it interesting.
don't be a pussy
those were manly tears
I almost did, the Love Live! holds a special place in my heart.
So far it's either the basic bitch student council president based on her design, crazy alien girl or shy red head.
The CGI is even better than it was last time, the OP and the last song were good,
Chikaand Ruby are best girls.
The only thing I really don't like is how the plot is basically the same as first Love Live, but without the school drama.
Okay now that you point some things out I can see it's a little copy and paste, but HEY my points still stand. It stands as it's own entity that you can enjoy by itself. It doesn't need Love Live attached to it's name to be good.
How do i get over the CGI? I really want to enjoy the show, i know LL purely from the mobile game but i really wanna enjoy it like you guys are.
Am i just doomed to hate the CGI or does it improve?
>the plot is basically the same as first Love Live
>after one episode
Solid first episode. First years look like they'll be the best girls. I still need to watch the movie though. Downloaded it the first day subs were out and have just never got around to it.
shikata ga arimasen yo
If you count the president as school drama this show has that too. CGI is decent but still extremely noticeable, but that's just where we are with anime right now. I respect the studio for trying to keep with their budget and understand they can't draw out a bunch of movements like that in a timely and costly manor.
Watch the new Berserk series until you like it. It's the most decent example of CGI I've seen in recent years.
Appeal to the Eli fanboys. There not doing it with all the characters though strangely.. the only OBVIOUS one is Eli.
Haven't watched it.
Yeah, but other than that it's literally the same show.
>Main girl accidentally lears about idols and wants to start an idol club
>Big bad student council president won't let her form an Idol Club, but she actually wants to join
>Shy first year is interested in being an idol, but doesn't join at first
>The only girl who can compose music doesn't want to join at first
Am I really the only one who was bothered by this?
Not really. I dropped the first love live 4 episodes in. That was terrible too. I tried out this one due to the much better designs but it's just copy paste shit from the first love live. I'll probably just drop it. Just a really lame series.
Yeah, the similarities are a bit off-putting but I feel most of those plot points will be approached in a more light-hearted fashion compared with the original. Specifically the student council president. Eri was much colder and more serious than Daiya and the moments involving her were a lot tenser.
You mean Yohane?
Agreed, the first one had some pretty boring parts but all the characters' movements were just so autistic looking I couldn't help but be heartily entertained the whole time. Sunrise knows that the stories garbage and they're embracing that fact to the point where it comes full circle and becomes entertaining again.
She'll hatesex with Mari soon which is nice.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
You feel unnecessary. Your mom said she agreed with me in bed last night, too.
Tomato isn't a vegetable.
You mean special.
Are those μ's?
Men exist in Love Live Universe.
Hopefully Chika's dad is just as manly as Honoka's.
Introducing all those characters in that one scene was a bit crowded, but otherwise pretty good.
Yohane's voice is funny.
Chika was surprisingly charismatic, she played the not-Honk pretty well.
You is dangerously smexy.
Riko is elegant as fuck.
Zura is annoying as shit.
1. The Love Live fan Wikia, it has tons of official images
2. Gelbooru (use the names found in 1)
3. Pixiv (use the rune-names found in 1)
Literally worse than characters who go "KOROSHO LOL HERE THAT I'M FUCKING RUSSIAN"
Really though, Jap accents of other countries are pretty funny, I look forward to more of it.
I actually had this picture saved from a previous thread... I wondered who this was.
I will look forward to the butts in this show
Real fans wouldn't cry, because they know µ's is forever.
No, fuck YOU zura. There is nothing wrong with a character having a specific quirk or eccentric tick, yet when they constantly insert it in their daily speech, they are asking to get snuffed in the face zura. Fuck Hanamura, zura.
What facial is that expression trying to convey?
CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE
>Now that you mention it, there was a lot of butts in one episode. Maybe this actually has potential.
Having the setting to be in a seashore is a stroke of genius
Now there are far more opportunities for swimsuits
C U T E
>parents had red and black hair
I don't know what you're talking about anon
I share the same sentiment as you, anon. The introductions of the characters should've been handle better, I wouldn't have mind if each character were to get introduce gradually in the subsequent episodes.
>She only said it twice
It's her verbal tic and she'll say it throughout the other episodes, Mura is an annoying little shit.
>And her name is Hanamaru
That's how that anon spelt it.
>Is it okay to like things?
Yes. Like the things you like.
Introducing all the characters in the first episode is the best way to do it. That's what season 1 did. The thing that made this attempt at it seem so crowded was having 6 of them interacting with each other in a single scene.
I have my doubts with this ranking. Nips love Kotori, she's popular among guys and especially girls.
Still, Maki a best though.
Did they accidentally create the perfect sub-unit? Should I feel bad for the others?
Pretty much yeah. Riko and Yohane alone would btfo any other group and who is the 3rd best Aquors? Mari.
I must say I like Ruby more than I thought I would but still nowhere near as much as yoshiko/riko.
>Student council president won't allow school idol club
It is almost like I have seen this somewhere before this.
