I think it's just a combination of the wish-fulfilment element of the series and its length.
When it started out and there were maybe 2 or 3 girls into him, it didn't seem so bad, but as the author drew the series out and kept throwing in new chicks and having them throw themselves at the MC to keep people interested(which I suspect wasn't a great strategy, I had the impression the readers would've preferred more of the supporting cast, but Seo never seemed to know what to do with them), it got out of hand.

The in-story reasons for it would probably be that Haruto seems 'nice'(wish-fulfilment in full force here), he's handsome and they've had important shared experiences with him
