Bullshit. O'Brien got a ton of development in S4. Far more than I expected him to get overall. Johan got to come back and do things too. Amon had his plot resolved iirc.

Most of the main cast died in the Spirit World. They didn't get much development. They got a ton of development in S4 though.

Manjoume was always competent. He was just headstrong and cocky. Don't confuse his personality for his dueling skills. He's no manga Manjoume but he's still good.

- I never thought that both Edo and Ryo were going to be gone for real after s3 eneded. These two guys are the top guys in GX who killed Judai . They were never going to get rid of both Ryo AND Edo, maybe Ryo since he debuted in s1, but not Edo.

They were academy students, they didn't make any sense to begin with anyways. The Amon Manjoume duel and Kenzan vs Jim duel were fine. But remember, Manjoume already beat EVERYBODY at north academy in a couple hours AND the top student, again in a couple hours. Soooo ... how in the world did Jim last so long against Supreme Whatever, and even worse, how did Amon last even 6 rounds against Edo, this made no sense.

GX cast go through this this stuff everyday, remember, for the past three season they dealing with guys trying to destroy everything and stopping them, season 3 no different, just a girl this time around.

The greatest thing you listed there is S4 Edo. They stupidly started reducing Edo to a joke, towards the end of s3. That was one of the worst things they ever did in GX. I was watching the episode and said "Manjoume, is this a joke?" S4 should've been Judai vs Edo rematch, since they already said it was going to happen. It would have been great to see Edo defeat Judai again and Judai laugh it off this time, or a draw, like with Ryo. But they get this trash guy Manjoume duel him, and win!?? But Sora never went to Heartland though. Him going to Standard was the first real mission of importance that Academia actually gave him. At least, it seems implied that Sora never went to Academia because he only recently got promoted from whatever class he was in before, and then as part of his first real mission, went to Standard.

The only person that Sora actually carded was Hikage (a named fodder duelist who was just an inferior Tsukikage) yet he regrets it, and the show wants us to believe he should regret it. Even Serena only carded one person and he was a side character (a fodder duelist, but still way more important than Hikage because LDS Trio) and she regrets being in Academia, and the show expects us to believe she should regret it.

Meanwhile we have Shun carding five fodder duelists and yet regrets absolute nothing. That's more than Sora+Serena combined and then doubled. I don't get why Sora and Serena had to regret their actions as Academia duelists yet Shun never regreted carding anyone. Even if the carded duelists were fodder, Shun still carded five times more fodder than either Sora or Serena.
