I feel that Dennis's connection to Kurosaki is bit of a one-way street.

Kurosaki obviously detests him for what he did to Ruri/Heartland, but that never felt that important to Dennis's character. His Heartland flashback was more about his love for entertainment, which is really not relevant to the Kurosaki siblings. And unlike Sora, he doesn't appear to hold a grudge against Kurosaki either. I don't really see any reason for them to duel again over Ruri when it comes to Dennis's character development.

Xyz and Synchro are the best supported: doesn't take any space in the deck. Pendulums are basically monsters who double as S/T for immediate effects so they don't take important space away too.

Fusion and Rituals are the worst supported: Rituals take the most deck space, Fusion still take it because you need the right materials and fusion spells.

The fact is you would need to make a really broken card, more than any Xyz or Synchro, to make running Rituals or Fusions worth it, which they did with Nekroz.

Owl isn't bad, he's searchable unlike King of the Swamp, and you can reuse his effect. By summoning him you also keep a monster to be used as fusion material, it's technically a +1 in that regard, while King is a 1 for 1.

Not at all. Ritual Beasts weren't really broken. They were good. But not really broken. Dark Law is run in anything that has access but it isn't really broken. Really good but not really broken. You just need to make fusion monsters generic and able to recover advantage spent to summon them.
