Gatchaman Crowds, I think. I try to look for the good in everything I watch, but I really had to scrape the bottom of the barrel for praise. I was hoping for another Star driver but it was generic as hell.
Weekly battles with evils were flat, characters felt flat, romance was flat, bromance was flat. Only Boxing Green's arc in the middle of the show was interesting.
The show wasn't really bad but it felt like water and I was disappointed and angry at myself for spending so much time on it.

Haruhi S2 is the worst anime ever televised, according to scientific measurements. It had some good episodes but that doesn't come close to making up for endless 8 at all.

While not that anon, forced drama doesn't necessarily mean that the show is bad. While there definitely are some forced moments and plotlines, notably everything involving his mother, the last half when she's actually dying and he's falling into a rather well done and accurate depression is rather good. The suicide pact scene, in particular, is still really good, and every Performance scene is gorgeous and fantastic. While it's nowhere near as perfect as Reddit says, it's still a pretty solid 8 in my book.

Forced drama does mean it is bad. A lot of things was pushed too hard to the viewer. Second half was terrible as not enough focus was one the two musicians. Too much talking/exposition during the performances, although the final one is what all performances should have been, visually vibrant to match the music.

I got into your lie in April for the interesting premise and I do like the overall plot. But the way the story was told to me was utterly terrible and ruins whatever good things the anime has to offer

Honestly this was the biggest let down for me. I watched the whole thing and felt like I wasted my time. I saw all the threads and art for the show and thought it was going to be something so much more legit. Turned out to be boring as fuck and every episode felt pretty much the same. Character design was top notch though.

Star Driver. I watched it cause you faggots, and by you I mean the /a/ of 2010 HOLY SHIT 2010? Fuck I'm old wouldn't shut up about it. It was fun watching it with /a/ but the NTR episode really took a hot dump on my fun cake then each episode got worse there after cause nothing was being resolved, no progress was being made and the cast was just doing stuff for the shits n' giggles.

2nd worst anime I've watched to completion cause of listening to /a/ would be Nichijou. It just wasn't very funny. Each episode made me smile, grin or think "gee that's kinda interesting" but I never once laughed.

Nichijou was boring, but not bad. Star Driver though is just awful. I can't say enough to its quality that would display how bad it is and how much I hate it. It was so bad, that I felt pity on myself for having stuck through it cause of /a/. JUST what a piece of shit. Image is how I feel, even to this day over star driver.

The NTR episodes for Spice & Wolf were completely unnecessary. Actually almost ruined the show for me.

Maybe you weren't around but Star Driver was HYPED. It had as much hype as Madoka as it aired. Dozens of threads a day, reaching the cap of 250 every time, gif clips out the ass and people discussing which girl they'd want to giver their driver to. As much as Kill La Grill did. It was supposed to be the golden child of anime, /a/ swore by it when it was airing, even past episode 16.

Watching anime with /a/ makes them FEEL better than they actually are when you watch them alone with no one to discuss it with. That's part of the charm of /a/ and not all their recommendations are bad. I recently started watching Ushio To Tora cause of /a/ and it's top notch.

It's a typical "babbies first x" type of anime.
It aired in the early 00's when a lot of people were just picking up on this new "internet" thing. Many found their way to Elfen Lied as it was commonly shared on DC hubs and viewers became infatuated by the mature theme, going: "this is not your typical cartoon!". It's fanbase is inherently annoying which further fuels the disdain for the show.
And it has continued in such a fashion to this day.

While the show looks nice most of the time, one of it's flaws is the abundance of static key frames. There are certain scenes where the audio doesn't match up particularly well with the animation, one of the biggest offenders being the scene in the finale where Lucy is crying into her palms. It's bad.

For a lot of people, Elfen Lied is the first anime they come across that features: frontal nudity, gore, psychological horror, and other "adult" themes. This leaves an impression on them - especially if they're young. An older audience will most likely have come across these themes before on multiple occasions - not necessarily limited to anime.
