She's supposed to be this unsettling, detached character, and I think the show succeeds in portraying her like that. I mean she's literally a shell for one the progenitor of humankind, so it makes sense that she has a kind of ethereal presence. She does struggle with her own issues as an individual, though. Where does your sense of identity go when you're just one of countless other soul husks?

I think it's pretty awful how she became the prototypical moe, though, but you can credit the fans with that
