Sometimes I get some amounts of nostalgia about remembering all those memories from 2014 when we had discussion about this series.

I thought we only had these feelings but in reality the person in charge of the series perhaps are the ones who keep the series they literally helped to come true as final products more than we will ever do. And even when they get old, they still will remember they had it's name written in the ending ED, perhaps not being known or recognized, but they will keep the memory.

But I mean, it can be kept consistent with the original series if they just make some kind of new problem arising from WIXOSS beyond the destruction of the Selector system. There were hints in Infected about the batoruverse bleeding into the real world, so maybe something like that happening would be interesting to see. Maybe the distinction between Selector and LRIG collapses and you just have something closer to what we saw in the Infected prologue with Tama and Ulith facing off for real.

So what do we here think of KZNVR, ignoring all the trolls? I'm very pleased with it as a whole; Okada's character writing meshes perfectly with TRGGR's expressive animation and attention to detail, and their visual direction is different from what JC Staff did for Wixoss but equally builds the atmosphere.

Nico is obviously a best, and it's great how with each new little revelation you can go back to previous episodes to unravel more about all their personalities. With her, you can see that it wasn't simply throwaway with saying she lost her previous friends--that deeply affected the way she acts and even now she's insecure, but still confident enough not to give up after one or two setbacks.

And then there's SNZK's true goals. In the past we now see that she was a believer in people being different as a good thing, yet now she appears to be on the other side with the Committee. I definitely think this is just a front, and she wants to be proven wrong with the current experiment to prove that her past views were right. There's so much to pick out for every one of them I can't do it all at once.

Kacchy is the type of progag Okada loves to write. Someone who doesn't understand themselves or how to connect, yet desperately wishes to form bonds with other people. The unsaid part of his character is that even though he lost most of his sense of pain in the previous experiment, that doesn't explain his lost memories and stunted emotions. The easy answer is that he'll be used as a vehicle to show that pain is necessary to develop as a proper human with true emotions. Beyond that he might end up wanting to devote himself to a single person rather than "everyone", in contrast with his childhood views and in parallel with what happened to Sono.

That image is funny because Yuzuki is more like Chidori than Hisomu. During the last episode I could hear her screaming between the lines "What's wrong with being straightforward?!"

I've been thinking about this and I think I got an idea.

It was stated a few post before some franchise shift a la Digimon Tamers and it would be interesting. Regarding the whole 'new card game' it doesn't mean it have to be unrelated to WIXOSS. Just think a little about Digimon Tamers. If I recall correctly, in that series they added the booster cards to enchance the experience with their products and we can use this as basis for the new propositon about 'new card game': Takara Tommy wishes to use the whole rich background in WIXOS and use the already established elements 'LRIG', 'SIGNI', 'LIFE CLOTH', etc., to create an alternative to play WIXOSS. What does this mean? If you got bored to play normal WIXOSS, you can play WIXOSS mode v2. and perhaps they add some new type of card to get more shekels.

What is the conclusion about this reasoning? This kind of development for WIXOSS franchise could lead to something more and more close to what Digimon Tamers did. A new way to include WIXOSS TCG but affecting people lives in a different manner.

In my opinion, if they manage to generate a new way to play a card game with the already WIXOSS and at the same time create new card types to generate more revenue and succed. They won't be also gaining shekels, but also my respect for the glorious person in charge of commercialization.

Probably it won't happen in Kiznaiver. I don't know how much one writer gets paid by series compositor's doing but these are very variable and someone like Okada would earn a lot. That's only talking about series composition. About being scriptwriter I know these people are paid by line written, so figure it out and finally, if Okada manages to build a hit, she will get royalties for that series. In summary, for a sucessful writer, one can get three sourcers of cash flows in the best case and two safe inflows in case your series bomb. She is getting the shekels with Kiznaiver and probably a bit more with Mayoiga.

Yuzuki's twin brother. Holds Yuzuki dear as his older sister, he also helps her in selector battles. Before long he learned of her true feeling and was shocked.

Kominato Ayumu
Ruuko's brother. A university student who lives alone, occasionally drops by the apartment that Ruuko and her grandmother live in. Concerned about Ruuko who has few friends, he hands her WIXOSS.

Kominato Hatsu
Ayumu and Ruuko's grandmother. Raised Ayumu and Ruuko in place of her daughter who was unsuited to being a mother. Even now they are attached to Hatsu, who was kind to them.

Mayu
The being that manages all selector battles. Appears in the white-windowed room that selectors who become LRIGs visit, she decides the destination of the LRIGs. Her true form is that of a girl who's confined due to illness, her jealously of the girls who are free in the outside world led her to create the system.
