>[HorribleSubs] Terra Formars S2 - 05 [720p].mkv
I hope you have your tears prepared, /a/
>no nipples AGAIN
How am I supposed to masturbate to this?
>conrevo can show nipples but Terra Formars can't
other than that, I was pleasantly surprised by this week's episode; last weeks bgm got upgraded to the OP, and they didn't completely fuck up or gloss over Alexandr's backstory
7/10 episode, way better than the previous 4
No, that's Adolf's wife, the german whore.
This is the russian girl. The daughter of Asimov and wife of the beetle guy. She's pure.
/pol/ is strongly represented once again. The germans are worthless cheating whore cucks, and the eastern euros are pure and strong.
Episode was surprisingly good. Glad I didn't drop it after that horrible first episode. I do kind of miss the old art style, but I'm getting use to this one. Can't wait to see more of best girl Michelle.
>he doesn't read the manga and nipples were not visible there either
I love Xi, favorite character along with Sasha, Eva and Nina. Evolved from my most hated to most loved. Hope she eventually has bigger role in part 3.
Alex had a better death than Adolf.
Just as LS didnt screw up Alex backstory, they better not screw up Akari and Michelles fights as well(especially Michelle vs Paraponera which was probably one of the best fights in the series).
I'm not gonna lie, i almost cried when they shows the last few flash backs.
>mfw I'm eastern euro and I wear speedos whenever I'm at the pool
/a/ is it better now
Please, I love the manga so much. The first season was good. Seeing season 2 shit on the manga broke my heart
Please tell me it got better than that first episode.
Has the tone changed? It had unwanted comedy and it didn't really have the tension and horror the previous season had.
It turned a seinen into a shounen. Has that changed? Also, the first opening was shite.
Yes, pretend the first episode never happened. The past two episodes in particular have been surpassingly entertaining. The animation can be hit or miss depending on you. I still prefer the animation of the first season, but I'm warming up to this one.
They'll look white and christian like the culprits in those car alarm commercials, where the most likely suspects are always whites.
>somewhat decent seinen anime adaption turned to shonen
>kawaii uggu fags everywhere.
I hope this season just die already before getting too much fan service and kawaii shit. Just like this season never existed.
> too much fan service
No such thing anon
> kawaii shit
Are we watching the same show?
Doujinshi translated and another chapter of part 3, too. Check 'em out. I'll create a thread for the dump in a minute. Don't want to shove new materials in anime only people's faces.
It'll probably end when the Kuzuryuu arrives, so no.
>getting them mixed up
Hong still a cute. Though I think this season's getting by solely on the strength of the stuff it's adapting and not much else.
Also, this is five days late but fuck. display:none; are done. God fucking dammit.
Too bad. Thanks for spotting that. Most of us wouldn't have known otherwise. Though the 6 months to put out a volume should have been a sign.
Yeah, I didn't notice until checking just now. A real shame, I'll miss their tank dumps. Those were the glory days of TF threads.
Fuck this thread is dead. I'll just guess 99% of people have dropped the series entirely.
This series isn't really popular on /a/. You would think the anime would give it a boost, but that horrible first episode caused people to lose any interest they might of had. It also doesn't help that the manga is pretty confusing with everything that's been happening in it.
The story itself isn't confusing, what I meant is the time it takes for the chapters to be translated. They come out so infrequently that when they finally are translated, it's easy to forget who's who, and what everyone is doing.
How many more episodes until Xi vs Keiji? Also, is it me, or is the show getting much better over time?
Also, newest chapter came out today.
SUPERIOR JAPANESE STEEL
To remind us that Johj are back and possess a threat greater than before. Honestly it fits well after they introduce Dragonfly Johj and the shit they pulled with this episode.
Feels were had. Rip stag-beetle bro.
S2 really picked it up after dropping the ball with ep1.
I miss the directing in S1, the action scenes and sound effects were top notch. It's a bit disappointing how the animal facts were reduced to a single slide. Surely they're able to cram in some narration during the action scenes like in S1 and not to mention those recaps are unnecessary.
>He still thinks BD will show nipples.
IMO, by far the best moment in the manga for me. I am so happy that they dedicated an entire episode on it.
>It's a bit disappointing how the animal facts were reduced to a single slide. Surely they're able to cram in some narration during the action scenes like in S1 and not to mention those recaps are unnecessary.
Good point. It's a complete waste of the narrator, really. Also, S2 still seems to be lacking any kind of atmosphere--the blander visuals and stale directing are definitely big reasons for that.
It's a pretty spot on adaptation. Liden knows when to use stills to make certain sense look really good.
>lacking any knid of atmosphere
Still too early to say. But i'm pretty positive of the episodes to come. S1 really know how to make use of filters to make the show appear more grimdark like in >>140857593
Personally the use of the bright visuals and the SoL aspects only serves to make the drama scenes hit harder.
Wow, people managed to hang on to keep watching this show after that hilariously bad first episode? After reading the thread people say that it's gotten better, but even if the action scenes aren't complete garbage, I highly doubt they've fixed the atmosphere and general look that went to shit as well.
>Prepared to die just to save his wife and child
>Having to kill a teenager gives him pause
Imagine that Adolf scene with Mars playing with this generic art style
Its like 3 am in the morning where I live and I only read the manga. I watched the first episode of the 2nd season and hated it so my hype for the series has gone down a bit. For now I just stick to raw and translated chapters. Most of the time I join these threads I end up having to explain the series for people who are confused with the story instead of talking with people who understand everything.
Fuck, why does shit like this always make me tear up?
It's Gina, dope.
Now that's just wrong.
Now that Joseph has gone bye-bye we need another character to make everything DMC absolutely cuhrayzay again so I'm hoping that this guy will fill that gap.
I know what you mean anon, season one's Michelle was a literal goddess. That body was perfect.
Wrong visible well endowed abs were seen whenever she was training. Point is they would not draw her like that unless it was canon. Plus being slender while 85kg and 164cm is impossible.
Nah, but it's obvious she's into him. It's between her and that other girl Amelia.
Yes definitely best Michelle fight coming up when she pulls Explosive Simple Acceleration Device Michael's Hammer. Speaking of weapons, Akari's Anti-Terraformar Supersonic Ninja Sword still has10 special factors left in manga.
They've only brought the best of the best for that mission, and the best always have cowtits.
Sometimes I can't stop to wonder, are everyone protecting her because of her WMD ability
Because she is everyone's little sis.
While the anime is entertaining, your probably better off reading the manga. If you are going to watch the entire anime be aware that season one is done by a completely different studio and staff. As for this season, just skip the first episode, it's complete dogshit.
1st song is better but I liked visuals in this one more. How it was from roaches view and putting marks over targets and dead people.
>listened the full song and at the end is ningen mina goroshi, spooky
85kg in 164cm
>85 kg at 167cm
>still looks slender
I call bullshit
This has been a surprisingly relaxing thread. I guess the lack of popularity on /a/ has cut down on the shitposting.
Kinda new, just watched all of season 1 and the first episode of S2 is downloading atm.
I see alot of people posting here about how the manga is better in many ways and I just want clear answer if it really is or not.
I'm also looking for a good way to read manga on my iPhone so I have something to read on the way to class. Any tips?
Overall the manga is better when it comes to this series. Also you might want to skip that first episode of S2. I don't know what the studio was thinking it was a horrible way to start. The good news is that it's been getting better every episode since, this one in particular.
>Adolf's episode drags on longer than it should. S1 is just bad cutting out moe Adolf scene.
Yeah, they hit some good points in his episodes but there really shouldn't have been three of 'em. 10 probably could've been used as a breather episode for the other plots to develop rather than kinda rushing to get to Keiji and Komachi fighting their respective opponents at the very end.
I don't think they should've spent so much time dwelling on how he met his wife and such either, the manga hit me harder with the ambiguity.
This episode didn't manage to top the emotional impact of episode 4 from S1 for me though.
Forgot to add that the anime kinda messed up in playing it off as a more conventional adultery/cheating thing whereas the manga frames it as a "biological" compromise.
The first OVA was definitely disappointing to me in a lot of respects, especially since it was a Hamasaki storyboard and I expected way more.
The second one was actually really good and was probably had the best animation of anything Liden had done for the series. It just sucks that they skipped out on the fucking Thien bible quotes when they left them in for Adolf's episode. But yeah, it was stupid to relegate all of BUGS II to just two OVAs, they just ended up being highlight reels or something.
S1 does have some good directing, much better than S2 but left out some important elements from the manga. Thien bible quote was unforgivable. I agree they should have keep the ambiguity with Adolf's chapter. Show but not tell.
What do you think of S2 anon?
It's decent to pretty good so far, though I said in the thread before that it might be getting by solely on the strength of the chapters that it's adapted so far. I might have been a bit hasty in condemning its lack of atmosphere but yeah, it's really the directing that's holding S2 back for me, as are the OST and the simplified character designs, which as of late don't seem to be taking advantage of some of the animation talent they've brought on board.
For all the weird omissions/compression/cutting out S1 did I think it kept to the spirit of the manga quite well (even with the lack of colour and edgy filters everywhere) and I hope S2 manages to do the same. I'm not sure if it'll run into similar pacing issues and production disasters though.
I've just realized it's still the same studio doing the show. What inspired them to make radical changes to the character designs?
I recall some ex-madhouse animators left but that doesn't explain the change in quality.
They better not blow the budget early and left us with ep1 standards.
>I recall some ex-madhouse animators left but that doesn't explain the change in quality.
>Disregard. I need some sleep.
Well, you're not wrong there. Director, assistant director and character designer have all had long careers at Madhouse, and MADBOX was also involved in the visuals as well.
It's not that the quality's gone down necessarily, season 1 had a lot of awful moments where the character designs were ruined the moment they started moving and some outsourced episodes (like 7) just looked like absolute garbage. I think S1 actually had two people in charge of character designs, and some of the early episodes had extra people credited to help out with them since I guess they were too much work for a small studio like Liden. Most of S1 needed a crapton of second key animation and animation directors to correct all the inconsistencies, even when the show didn't really have all that much movement to begin with.
The difference in S2 seems to be that TYO Animations are helping out; you can see them credited for inbetweening work and second key animation, but I'm not sure what else they've helped with. The rest of the staff have been completely replaced (Hamasaki leaving is probably the biggest factor) so that probably explains a lot of the visual changes. I also spotted Liden's Kyoto studio (which is made up of ex-KyoAni people and is good) in the credits so that's probably helping them out a lot as well. I assume this will be better produced than before but I don't know.
Episode 1's animation wasn't really bad, it was just undercut by the lack of impact/sound direction.
Artist bothers with nipples only when something fucked up is happening: Shower Girl, Adolf's wife being Adolf's wife, Eva's boob regenerating, Eva getting her powers stolen by Joseph.
>you will never be a bald based nerd
>insect powers get labeled down to specific genus and in some cases species
>bacteria power is labeled as "bacteria"
>even though bacteria are much more widely diverse than insects
as a microbiologist, this triggers me so fucking hard i can't even believe it myself
Specifying the various types of bacteria isn't as cool as specifying the insects. Insects are bigger, thus cooler. Deal with it.
no, fuck you, it's literally like labeling something as a specific type of beetle and then labeling another person's power as "animal" or "plant"
Not sure, she hasn't made an appearance in the new arc yet aside from sending Akari a text message. Though with everything that's happened I'd be surprised if they weren't together at this point.
Michelle and Akari are pretty much the OTP, unless of course Joseph tries to pull more of his NTR shenanigans and forcibly impregnates Michelle.
Well I'm sure readers want to [email protected] our Anastasia. Her hobbies are overclocking and tuning motorbikes, how cute is that? Boring base though there better spiders with more interesting abilities, those who have read Arachnid know what I mean.
>though there better spiders with more interesting abilities, those who have read Arachnid know what I mean
Autism and plot armor? Attaching your endless invisible string to everything you can and cannot? A hand gun?
Holy shit this thread lasted longer than I thought it would. Well I guess I'll see you anons on the next episode thread.
