Long story short: ELF was a eroge developer who was very well known and liked. They developed the Doukyuusei series, which was followed by Kakyuusei. After Kakyuusei was made, the original writers and composers were gone, leaving only the CEO, who was into things like rape and NTR (See: Shuusaku series).

As a part of revitalizing the agins company, ELF decided to make Kakyuusei 2. This was received with much hype from RenAi enthusiasts, and an anime series was in the works before the game was even out. This meant lots of money.

However, when the game was released, Tamaki, the main heroine (who was supposed to be on equal standing as Mizuho Yuuki, the main heroine of the previous game) was NTR fodder, along with several character quirks which made her completely unlikable.

This brought an slow but steady end to ELF, who after this whole fiasco made only shitty NTR games until it closed door just last month. The End.
