How much better is the manga for Soul Eater than the anime?

It's the same stuff until around episode 36, I think. Then the story branches off. After that, manga's superior, but it's a matter of preferences before that.

Besides the story branches off, the first illustrations of the manga aren't as good as in the anime, it gets better at the 4/10 point or something I believe. Just find (I don't remember exactly) the episode where the anime branches off and continue manga.
