Is it just me, or are more and more manga artists and character designers drawing inspiration from Spirou?
I mean, there's something in the way the lines are drawn, very elastic and round, that reminds me a lot of some fairly recent Franco-Belgian comics.
It's pretty cool I guess but I hope it won't become a massive trend that lasts a whole decade like every other style in anime/manga.

Not even the fact that the irises occupy a very small area on the eyes? I mean that's usually employed to express intense surprise but some mangaka make it the default look of their characters, and that's something only French artists normally do.
