I think you misunderstood the question, so allow me to elaborate.
So the protag got infected in his arm in the form of a purple veiny thing that begins to spread throughout his body. Then he gets into an elaborate contraption that constricts his body at multiple vital points including his neck. After using this thing he appears to have removed the purple veiny thing or at least quelled it. My question is: "why?" Because up to that point the protag finally found a way to kill them by penetrating the hear and that is so far the only way to kill them. But if you just needed to get them aroused by choking them almost to death, like with mc, why not do that instead?
