Genuine answer here. It kinda comes in phases. Today I wouldn't want to watch moeshit, but had I been working full time with a job I'm not very happy with, I wouldn't have much time for anything else, and if you're unhappy with your job, moeshit helps you get by, kinda. For me it was a replacement for not having the time to do fun things back when I was working full time with a shitty job. Coming home and watching a few episodes before bed was godly.

You might come to appreciate it yourself one day, but let's hope you won't have to.

I like how realistic and subtle the chracter growth is in the show. Far too many shows do the unrealistic "something happens and suddenly character is the polar opposite of his former self" bullshit and then get praised for such schlocky writing. If K-On was any other "mature" anime at some point in the show she would have gotten hit by a car and turned into a serious, no bullshit professionalist.
