Speaking of Gainax, I'm particularly fond of the 'Into Space' montage at the end of The Wings of Honneamise as well as 'THAT' scene. I know many people hate it and think it kind of ruins the movie, but I think it makes it.

And I love Gunbuster too, but I think that the end of episode 4 is the peak. The way that it mirrors the ending to Aim for the Ace! is godly.

This scene at the end of Kara no Kyoukai 5 wherein Shiki is freed from confinement and we see a visualization of her memories starting from the very beginning of life on Earth (due to her connection with Akasha), moving onto the events of the series thus far and ending with a foreshadowing of the Epilogue that most probably missed on their first viewing. And everything that follows up until the end of the film.

Diebuster got it completely right. I think it's one of the best executed sequels ever made. I hope that Uru in Blue turns out half as well as Diebuster did.
