Do you have your manga/anime collection out in the open or do you keep it hidden?
Out in open. When you walk into my room you see nothing but glass cabinets full of figures, a whole wall of anime BDs/DVDs, and a bedroom full of manga.
I don't hide shit.
All out in the open, but the only physical anime stuff I have is Gundam models (and tons of them, I'm running out of wall space).
Do people have their non-porn things hidden? Do you really have that low of an impression on yourself?
my anime/manga is mixed in with all the books, games, CDs, what have you. An entire family of people who couldn't be assed to organized all their shit.
It's just fucking everywhere. Too busy to put away or organize.
>having all that shit out in the open
>having any of these things physically at all
I mean, you do you, but I wouldn't be able to explain having racks and racks of lined-up manga, anime and toys to people who come over to my place...
to the people that buy a shit ton of manga:
do you re-read them every once in a while? I know if I bought manga it would collect dust after i've read it once
You're talking to people who have rooms like this.
A better example maybe.
Some people just can't accept that there are people who have different ways of living and need to be dicks about it. That's just how life is.
I've re-read things from time to time, but not so much lately... don't have the time to read all my new purchases, much less re-read stuff.
But still, I collect, because if I don't I'll wind up wanting to re-read something and not have access to it.
I keep it in the open. I don't have anything to hide, unless I go outside.
I've been buying localized manga since my childhood, which is 2 decades ago.
Yes I re-read them when I have nothing else to do. Stories like Doraemon is ever eternal and never boring.
Dust wise, I wrapped the covers in clear plastic to avoid further dust and shit.
I'm too lazy to clean the shelves, only did it once every year or so since they're in my dining room for other people to read.
Pages wise, they have turned brownish-yellow as fuck so that can't be helped.
Lately I've had to switch shelves so all my manga would go on my new shelf and my novels on my other Ikea shelf since I know in such a short time it would fill up quickly.
I'm trying to collect a lot of the gekiga stuff that's currently published in English at the moment, anything you're working on getting /a/nons?
Gundam origin seems to be the must-haves these days.
Do people realy hide their manga? I mean, I can understand porn and sex toys, or not wanting to cover every angle of your room with posters and action figures, but you either have a very low opinion of yourself or you are under the misconception that people care about others' hobbies. Or both.
I mean, they're fucking comics, who the hell do you think would care about that? And if someone was so retarded to actually judge you for having them, would you really want such a shallow person in your life?
Or maybe it's just an american thing, I don't really know. No one has ever judged me for having manga in my country.
