>She's just here to BTFO all Luffy shippers
Also why do people think she is going to the wedding?
Robin's relationship with Sanji isn't as close as Nami's is.
Not being a shipper here. Sanji and Nami have known each other since the Baratie arc and are often seen together. Robin's usually paired up more with Luffy, Usopp, Nami and Franky in the crew dynamic.
Random thought, couldn't the minks ask Shanks for help regarding Wano? As they were also sort of apprentices along with Shanks on Roger's ship for a time. I doubt he's interested in the poneglyph himself either, except to protect them perhaps.
The thing is he was a major part of the era Roger and Whitebeard were in that has ended. The end of Marineford was a passing of the torch and he and Sengoku stepped down. Just look at how much Sengoku changed alone.
Meanwhile Akainu has risen higher and become the face of the Marines. If Garp didn't fight him at his angriest, there's little point doing it now when he's even older and more tired.
Shanks probably doesn't want to get involved with Kaidou since they're both emperors and that'd bring a lot of trouble.
Remember how the entire government started freaking out when Shanks and Whitebeard had a meeting? They don't need to attract even more attention to Wano.
I don't see Akainu being a final villain for Luffy. They'll probably fight at some point but he's a way better fit for Sabo's final boss. His entire story is about getting revenge for Ace and taking down the government, and Akainu fits both of those things perfectly on top of mirroring his powers.
but if shanks helped, luffy wouldnt have a story. your thought makes more sense but then what would Oda write for the Wano arc? I do want to see Shanks in a good fight though.
One would assume the reverie will have a lot to do with the endgame of the WG so i don't see why people think it would be glossed over. Vivi also has no other reason to leave Alabasta.
I've noticed there's a whole OP subculture of people making absurd predictions just for the sake of being the one to "call it" if they ever come true
The only accurate one I've seen in the past year and a half of reading weekly is the "Sanji is a royal" one at that was only partially true
Any number of reasons could have prevented that. They don't know Shanks well enough to ask a favour of that magnitude, they simply don't think he would help, they're worried about getting involved with more Yonko, etc.
He's a good guy but he seems more interested in a simple life with his crew and friends. He gets involved when he thinks the balance of the world is at risk but beyond that he's probably content.
With Vivi x luffy now everything makes sense
Vivi is for Luffy
Perona is for Zorro
Nami is for Sanji
Kaya is for Usopp
and Robin is for Franky
Now everyone can be happy
Everyone remember to do your best to appreciate Penguin today!
I hated it at the time but after rereading Dressrosa I can't really fault Usopp for running away and being a loser during the first Sugar fight.
They weren't a part of the original plan to destroy the factory, he knew them for like an hour and expected them to run away, he didn't even remember who Robin was let alone the fact she was in danger, and his utter defeat showed he wasn't wrong about being horribly outclassed.
I wish Oda didn't rush that bit so much though. An extra chapter to show the loss of Robin's memory better and detail more of the fight would have had given the scene a better flow and made it feel less out of character.
Intercrew shipping is fucking disgusting
You should feel bad if you do it
Luffy x Meat
Luffy x Adventure
I've always liked Tashigi but she really needs a redemption of some kind. If Smoker is that far behind Luffy I can't imagine where Tashigi is in regards to anyone. She couldn't even take on Monet
I like her interactions with Zoro and I want to see what kind of moral stance she ultimately takes. Maybe she'll pull a Coby just when needed
It's a shame that she's not gonna be giving sword monologues in Wano
I would start Tashigiposting every thread but I need some material
"I want to touch Tashigi's tashigis"
No I don't like that
Oda needs to provide more comfy crew interaction honestly
If it's not something like this, I'll be mad.
Frobin makes some sense due to them being the parents of the group, which includes some stuff that only couples do in Japan.
I'm talking about laying his head on her lap, perverts
Usopp and Nami undeniably have chemistry together, but the question is if it's platonic or romantic from the reader's perspective
If the anime had a shred of pride taken in it then it would be a great way to showcase this. As uneven as the filler was in the early anime, there were nice ones here and there that featured heavy crew interaction.
Now the crew is more split up then it has been all post timeskip and the anime certainly won't alleviate that
>I don't get why this thing sex is so great
>Why does Sanji want this so bad?
>I could be out climbing a mountain or exploring some island right now
>Maybe I'll go fishing with Usopp later
>I wonder if Franky has any cool new upgrades, Robots are awesome
>I haven't kicked anyones ass in a while
>Can't wait until I'm better than Shanks
Even with the crew split up, it would give great characterization to characters like Kinemon, Caesar, Pedro, Law.
Just looking at panels like this gives a million ideas for things you could do
SoL one piece could be so amazing
So I just started watching this for the animation in Japanese but I didn't have subtitles so I didn't understand the speaking, but I'm pretty sure I understood the main story.
One thing I couldn't work out though is the main character with the yellow hat. He looks like he's made of rubber, how did that happen?
I think once theyre reunited in Wano we'll be done with the splits.
The first one was to set this Sanji arc up and so Oda could give attention to the Straw Hats fleet. This second one is to equal out the development time the Curly Hat's lost in Dressrosa.
So we did not see carrot in whole "can I join in rescue team debate" or even in whole chapter. I hope that mean she has sneaked in the Sunny.
>Luffy is asexual
This has been canon for a while now
Crocodile and Jimbei were also not charmed by her either because they have good self control or are not interested in human women
sexiest living girl in op?
no big happening last week to shitpost about. Lots of possibilities for next chapter though, since I doubt it will be just 18 pages of Pekoms giving exposition on Big Mom and the Vinsmokes
Reminder if you don't currently have a girlfriend in real life and you read anime instead you should just kill yourself since you're completely undesirable.
>Implying newly based Sengoku will go against the Strawhats
He finally understood what it's like to have a troublesome grandson. Dude is probably on the phone with Garp right now.
what other possible kinds of Human Human fruits could there be?
All I could think is model Vampire, but that's already been used for Unlimited World Red. Maybe werewolf? Would be a bit shit though since it would just look like Jabura.
Surprising that his hair grayed after he quit his position. I think in OP world, your hair only grays when you're stress free. Garp's started when he hung around with Roger and those guys.
Oda would probably say something like "When you're stressed you clench your butthole all the time so the hair pigment gets sucked in and can't escape".
>a bland copy of a villain and entire arc is better
>completely fleshed out
He's literally a spoiled brat with daddy issues. Not to mention he got everything handed on a silver platter to him, including his top 4 executives who just randomly decided to serve a little kid. We might know more about his backstory but it's a completely retarded one so it doesn't matter in the end.
>hurrrrrr it's retarded so it does not count XD
So what? Even if Croc comes back and gets a more detailed background, Oda already pussified him and he does not even feel like a villain anymore. I really hope he will not do this as well with Doflamingo. Baddy reformation is a lame shounen-trope that I hate.
It's a good thing Oda cares about your tastes.
Face it, anon. Luffy is an ally magnet. After the fight's done, chances are the opponent no longer qualifies as an enemy. But as a neutral character. And Doffy wants to stick it to the WG. The only person who does that better than Luffy is his dad.
tfw there will never be a female as based as conis
I find it hilarious that Rebecca was some legendary warrior at the start of the arc but by the end she couldn't do shit but shout the name of others.
She only was legendary as long as her opponents were common gladiator fodder. When all the big shots came to get the Mera Mera she was outclassed quickly. Also her fighting style only works when she fights in a ring with a ring-out rule.
it's nice I guess but not nearly as much as seabody, that arc is the shit
after amazon lily you have impel down which is really really good and also quite short but when you get to marineford stop watching the anime and read the manga
It is the point were you really feel that they are dragging it out like hell. But since it is a very fast paced arc even in the manga you won't get that annoyed by it. It really starts to get frustrating as fuck at Fishmen Island.
not bad per se but it's when the shitstains at toei pace it out to 1 chapter per episode, it's also think around there is when the artstyle changes from good (like the manga) to shit (generic digital anime that's both poorly drawn and poorly animated)
there's a lot of filler in that arc for the anime as well but it's quite funny
watching the first arc after the war (trying to avoid spoilers) will make you kill yourself and stop liking one piece if you watch the anime, so by then you gotta have read the manga
>but it's when the shitstains at toei pace it out to 1 chapter per episode
That started even earlier though. At Enies Lobby actually. At that time it was not as bad since the animation team managed to stretch it in a not so annoying way. Today you see endless background shots, people screaming for minutes and stand-offs that take forever DBZ style.
Agreed. lots of people say the anime only starts getting bad at MF/FI, but it becomes shit much earlier and personally I can't watch a single episode past Water 7. Especially since Thriller Bark had some of the best art in the manga and it's just awful in the anime
That is true. Just re-watch the episode with Zoro fighting Kuma in Thriller Bark. It is stretched as all hell, I think it is even the most streched episode of the whole series so far, but the animation and the whole directing is great.
you don't like thriller bark or seabody in the anime? thriller bark has great music which fits the atmosphere perfectly.
you don't like enies lobby either? perhaps it's that I only started reading the manga after how shitty Fishman Island was in the anime but everything pre marineford was pretty great in my opinion
So I just finished SA
Was the separation a little bit soon? I mean they should have atleast gave Brook an arc to be with the team.
Also please spoil me, did kuma sent Robin to become a slave or did he knew about the plan all along?
imagine watching and waiting for the episodes weekly, 1 whole month of flash back that was
>I mean they should have atleast gave Brook an arc to be with the team.
This is why I wish Strong World was actually canon.
Brook still feels like the new guy thanks to all the bonding time he lost from the separation.
>did kuma sent Robin to become a slave or did he knew about the plan all along?
Kuma didn't intend for Robin to become a slave of the government, no.
I don't get why Teach was at Impel Down, does he really hate Luffy that much he was going to break in there to get him, or was it Ace he was after and he was just late? I thought he was going after Ace just for his bounty, there was no hate towards him on Blackbeard's side.
I'm up to date, but it still doesn't make sense.
That doesn't make any sense though, he wouldn't know that Luffy has made a distraction to get them out easily until he got there
>he wouldn't know that Luffy has made a distraction to get them out easily until he got there
He didn't know this.
Blackbeards plan was to become a member of the seven warlords, use the government access granted by that to reach impel down, break in, create chaos and recruit the strongest people on level 6.
Luffy's actions throughout the story have aided him and made his life easier but those were unexpected. Blackbeards whole schtick is leaving things to fate.
She was kind of like the anti-Shirahoshi. When she first appearance we all thought that the large crybaby mermaid was a distress damsel, but turned out she actually quite a badass with Sea King summoning power and a willing to give her own life to protect her kingdom and is destined to someday full-fill her role as Neptune.
In-universe? It seems like some dumb experiment from the WG that was supposed to bolster their forces but ultimately just gave powerful criminals who will never truly cooperate with them free reign. At least Fujitora had the sense to see how utterly retarded that system is.
Story-wise? Just an excuse to have powerful characters doing shit and create some complicated politics, and a means to show how corrupt the WG is.
So did Blackbeard expect to just walk straight through everything in Impel Down and just fight his way all the way down and all the way back up? It seems like a bit of a retarded plan, since even Luffy was able to damage him.
I guess that makes more sense than me headcanon. I was thinking he was there to kill Ace for some reason.
Al this faggots trying to ship Sanji with someone else and Nami with a nigger since they gave up on Luffy.
No niggas SanjixNami is the only reasonable ship. Nami already told Sanji she fell only with him anyways.
In episode 22 of the anime, when they're at the Baratie, Luffy is easily the first person to notice that Don Krieg's ship is on it's way a long time before anyone else. Early hint at CoO?
>It seems like some dumb experiment from the WG that was supposed to bolster their forces but ultimately just gave powerful criminals who will never truly cooperate with them free reign.
Some of them did benefit the WG in their defense though.
Jinbe was perfect for the position until they threatened Whitebeard thanks to his defense of Fishman Island creating a conflict in interest regarding. Kuma ended up giving them a huge cyborg army because of the position they put him in, and both Mihawk and Weevil seem to be doing their jobs without complaints.
Crocodile, Blackbeard. Law and Doflamingo are the three that really abused the system and showed how easy it was to play, but those four all happened consecutively. I got the impression the original seven had those positions for a years.
give up already, your ship is finished
>I-I disregard and misinterpret panels as long as they are not convinient for my ship
haha, get out faglord
Marines buying out the top pirates so they don't band together and fuck them up. Also encourages those strong pirates to fuck up other pirates, meaning less for the marines to worry about.
How do we feel about
the possible fact, Crocodile used the majority of his power to stop it raining over Alabasta instead of fighting Luffy?
when will oda reveal that monet is alive?
does the mizu mizu no mi exist?
>the possible fact, Crocodile used the majority of his power to stop it raining over Alabasta instead of fighting Luffy?
Using your df powers does not drain your energy or stamina.
Oh you're a nigger yourself.
I see, sure anon sure.
You're family is used to be working as a slave that's why you think it's normal.
But it's not anon. You have to fight it. Leave!!!! Scape!!! Run!! Fast
This has confused me for the longest time too lets break the original warlords down
Why was he a shischibukai? why would the government have him? are they funding him?
I guess because he was former king and was also supported by the WG?
The only ones I could agree on are
Because shes a queen to her own civilization
because you're using his body as a blue print?
then theres Mihawk
>Mihawk -btfo any pirate in his path
Resorting to ad hominem won't save your ship, you know?
This is gonna be the arc where we see the coolest shit ever, X Drake's T-Rex humanoid form.
This is gonna be the arc where we see Kid, Apoo, Hawkins and Killer doing cool shit.
This is gonna be the arc where Sanji has infinite 'Mr Prince' moments and we see his full backstory.
This gonna be the arc where
Jack comes back and gets revenge on the elephant.
This is gonna be the arc where Purin is a god tier waifu.
This is gonna be the arc where Vivi returns.
This is gonna be the arc where we might just get a new Yonko.
This is the year of hype.
>But keep trying, if that makes you feel better. Just know that the fall will be harder.
now say that again in front of a mirror
>How do we feel about the possible fact, Crocodile used the majority of his power to stop it raining over Alabasta instead of fighting Luffy?
Wasn't it suspected by Hina that Smoker used dance powder?
Was it ever confirmed if that was the case?
>also when will oda reveal that monet is alive?
In a cover story.
>also does the mizu mizu no mi exist?
Moria and Crocodile were strong, promising rookies when they were recruited.
One got jaded after Whitebeard kicked his ass. The other got lazy after Kaidou killed his crew.
Jinbe accepted to help improve connections with Fishman Island and the government. Doflamingo had a lot of influence and the government probably hoped they'd be able to get some control over him.
total brain dead over powered idiot
Jack hasn't shown his full power yet :^)
Just wait until you see his awakened devil fruit mammoth ability.
I thought Jack looked like a dumbass with a stupid haircut and was confused and thought he was just a literal mammoth at first but the memes of these threads have made him a cool character in my eyes
New characters aren't going to fill the positions of Emperors. They're all aiming for One Piece and within like two months comic time everyones gonna be fighting trying to claim it.
The Emperors exist because of the stalemate.
>I also wouldn't mind something like a 10 year timeskip.
This would kill the series and all of its momentum.
What would happen if this thing just killed over?
>So did Roger.
Roger's life predates the concept of the emperors.
>Whitebeard you could argue only cared about being free as well.
Whitebeard wanted family and to make Ace the pirate king so he could inherit Roger's will.
>law ever being relevant again
So you think his ability to grant eternal life in exchange for his own won't play a role in the future? Come on, Oda would have not give him an ability like this if he would not plan to do something with it.
Shit, I forgot about Buggy. I agree, but I also want all the other characters to be Yonko as well. Maybe there can be 5 Emperors instead
>the teams come back to zunisha
>they start wondering why they can't see her, and also why THE OCEAN IS RED
>they then see a massive elephant skull with Jack standing upon top of it
He's plot relevant and one of the most popular characters so I doubt he'll get left in the dust
>Law will die at some point in the story
>and you bet it will be with a smile on his face.
While I love Robin and her role in the story I wish Oda actually made use of her great powers to give her a proper fight.
Why the hell didn't she battle Trebol instead of that weird backseat coaching he did?
The only thing we care about in the world is this.
how is robin op in pirate warriors 3? she's perona tier.
best people for nightmare log are guys like whitebeard, luffy (abuse the elephant gatling) and zoro (abuse purgatory oni giri)
>or will she be butt ugly in typical piss on Sanji fashion?
I really hope its not this
Her being attractive would force him to overcome his libido and develop as a character for once
But this kind of tribe was not on the slave list. Ah well, maybe Oda came up with another race after Sabaody and the explanation will be that this race was believed to have gone extinct. It also could be a devil fruit power.
so she will be Fina from Skies of Arcardia?
I don't think Doffy made it to ID. Jack probably caused enough wreckage to let him escape. There's no point for the story to make Doffy go there, he's obviously never going to stay in ID, so why not let him escape now rather than tell in a side story than he escaped level 6?
>long run shonen
>one in which a canon pairing hasn't already been hinted at
I hope you tumblrniggers don't do this
Robin is OP and can never get a proper fight, she instantly wins against anyone unless they have one of the many devil fruits that can counter hers
>you cant change your body into water similar to how Ace could turn himself into fire
I wish they held off using or introducing the Light light and dark dark fruit and instead introduce a character who seem to be able to control Light but later reveal that he could also control darkness.
then you reveal that they're one and the same and that one is the absence of the other
In this world, Enel's. In the One Piece world, Kizaru's. Kizaru's is more useful for fighting, but Enel's would be more uesful in the real world where haki doesn't exist and electricity has more applications.
Being natural and being a force of nature aren't the same thing. Also darkness isn't a natural thing. It doesn't exist. It's not a substance, it's not made of anything. It's just a lack of light.
They'd both be useful but a hundred legs spamming wind blade kicks would be deadly as fuck and would also grant her the safety of range.
Shigan would require growing limbs on the target, which is fine in most cases, but is dangerous against certain devil fruits.
The real defining trait of Logia is transforming into a substance, not the definition of said substance. I like the idea that Teach is mistaken and he's not a logia at all
You will always hit a dead end when you try to apply physics to magic
that makes me wonder how exactly robin's fruit would handle huge attacks
generally her limbs aren't doing incredible arduous tasks, but if she was doing hundreds of full force kicks with her fruit, wouldn't it exhaust her like crazy? her fruit is odd logistically, which is probably why she doesn't get too many fights
Are you people implying that the 10th (or 11th) Nakama wont be a baby dragon?
Are you implying that Luffy wont have the same adventures as Roger did and will end up escaping an island with a huge dragon egg on the sunny?
She'd be better off stealing the opponents weapon and using that against them
I still think he's more like Mr 3 or Kalifa instead of a Logia
He can create and control black smoke that absorbs anything but can not turn his body into it
Someone once posted an interesting idea that being in light is keeping him solid the way water kept Crocodile solid
I hope, because this color spread gives her some relevance
this is a weird fetish anon
E-eh t-thank y-you anons
there are generally not that many doujins about anime or manga that are originally pretty lewd. I guess this is because the artists like making non-lewd things into porn more.
>It's a Doujinshi about Robin!
>She doesn't use her DF powers
I guess you dont get the Yonko title, you just become influencial enough to acquire stable territory and manpower in the New World to be considered one.
Its not a position, like Marine Almiral or a title given by someone official, like the Shichibukai.
The thing is, Luffy will probably become one without even caring, his only objective is to become Piratr King, and not for the position, but because it implies the premise of having found the One Piece.
Not necessarily. You just have to show a feat of strength big enough. Overwhelmingly defeating Marco is what got Teach his title. Not his islands or amount of mooks. Chances are if you take down an Emperor, you'd be considered ridiculously strong and as such be considered the new Emperor.
Yeah ,I meant that too.
My point being, 'Luffy wont be Yonkou' is not a matter of his will tp become one, but rather the achievments he makes while he destabilizes the statu quo of the New World
Of course. It's just like a bounty. It's not like Luffy sets goals and is like "Alright, I gotta beat enough ass and break enough shit to get a 100m after today". He just gets it.
But Blackbeard becoming Yonko was not just because of defeating Marco, it just consolidated his position. He'd already broken into and out of Impel Down, intervened at Marineford killing Whitebeard, started to conquer WBs territory... Stomping Marco and the remains of WBs crew just consolidated his position of replacing the whole that WB left.
I think most people have sort of forgotten how fucking metal Franky is
I mean, the process of becoming a cyborg probably wasn't too far away from cutting his body open and jamming machinery into it himself while fully concious
they sort of gloss over it but it's fucking horrifying, imagine walking in on young franky doing surgery on himself
You don't understand. He's alive. He basically has a normal body but all we see is his bones. He breathes, shits, digests, thinks, etc using his "body". Except the body isn't physical. Because it's a bloody Devil Fruit.
1. Meteor Hammer - Usopp
2. Meteor Cannon - Garp the Fist
3. Meteor Volcano - Akainu
4. Meteor - Fujitora
Are there any other meteor attacks in one piece?
Even if its mangamagic that he survived the whole process while performing it himself, yeah, its metal af
Id like to see how he managed to do that, but sometimes I forget the target audience of this series is 10yo boys
Except before defeating Marco, he was just a noteworthy pirate. Remember he got his title a year ago. So despite havimg islands and mooks and his new crew and whatever, he still hadn't done something to take the seat. Defeating Marco showed his strength which is why people started saying he's an Emperor.
Not just that, he was like 19 snd had just gotten hit by a goddamn train. Just think about it.
He killed Whitebeard and destroyed Marine HQ which stood undefeated for "hundreds of years" even though all admirals were there to defend it. Everyone also saw that he freed the level 6 prisoners.
I think that's a bit more than noteworthy.
For some reason people think that the emperors are a formal group that's always existed
I've seen speculation for who they were in Rogers era when they naturally didn't exist at the time.
Why has no one abused this fact, yet? DF are valuable as fuck. But you have to choose between the money and the power.
But if the first bite already gives you the power, just take a little nibble and then sell it. got the power and the money.
For fuck's sake, man, you know what I meant. He did all that shit and had Whitebeard's islands and random mooks and his Impel Down crew and his second Devil Fruit and his zehahaha and whatever. Yet hewas still not a Yonkou. Because Marco still represented Whitebeard. Marco probably wasn't called a Yonkou either but he was like a place holder. Taking out that place holder granted him the title.
I can't say this in any other way, anon.
Maybe the fruit goes bad after the devil escapes. Maybe it only holds the look until you feel like you have a power and it reverts to the normal fruit. Fuck if I know, I'm not a broker.
For all we know that shit you wrote is just fanfic
We've seen characters eating fruits live and in flashbacks and no transformation or soul-scape of any type happened after the first bite
well yeah, but we haven't seen anything disproving it either
point is that if the situation came up, there's no reason oda couldn't just claim they start to rot after a day or something that fits the narrative at the time
he only explained as much as he needed to, so it's still open-ended
>For all we know that shit you wrote is just fanfic
Nigga, no shit. Did you expect Oda to come around and give you the lowdown on Devil Fruits? The first bite thing has been confirmed by Oda himself. The Devil stuff is just me guessing. Cause I'm not Oda.
chopper was hiluluks second in most honorable suduko
Hiluluk delibaretely drank the soup though because he knew he will die anyway, then he allahu akbar'd himself. You could say he killed himself before he got killed by himself.
Man, ever since Dressarosa ended OP has been on a roll. I'm so excited.
Every Chapter is a hitter.
I wonder how he will tell these 4 stories all at once.
Also do you think Lola's vivre card is for big mom?
That same exact mushroom that Chopper gave Hiluluk will turn out to be a real panacea.
Also, I always thought Robin just "felt the pain" of her created limbs, but took no actual parallel damage.
