I'll give you points for having the tenacity to erase all that shit, but no, not really. 2 reasons:

#1. There's no reason to remove sfx like that, it's almost never done in any releases by any group

#2. It doesn't look right at all. While clone stamp is very useful, you have to know when it can't be used and other tools have to be implemented. If you look at the first and the last image, your brain will tell you that the redraw is not what is supposed to be there.

This one looks much, much better. Still not perfect (the bicep is fucked), but significantly better than the former. How the hell is there this level of disparity between the two?
Regardless, like I said, try your hand at one of the pages I put up there if you think you can keep the level of redraw of the leg in the second post.

We'd like to see if you can do what we need done, not just hypothetical skills.

That's bretty good, but nothing I or the cleaner couldn't each do on our own. That distinction is made because the cleaner is really pissed off at me right now for no reason.

We do very much appreciate the effort, though. Every person who steps up to base to try is another step closer to Baki Dou having perfect-looking scans. If you aim to keep improving and think you can be of more service then, hit us up at that point. As it is now though, unfortunately, I can't really say that we need your help. Really am sorry.

So the overall deal is that the cleaner is super pissed at me because I touched a file that he didn't make a backup of, and is now refusing to do anything. So I honestly have to see how this plays out before I feel comfortable doing something with a potentially similar result. Like if he starts working again, and you treat a page differently than he does and I replace his version with yours or something, he's gonna lose his shit on me. I'll give you my email anyway though, in case things work out in a better way.

You offset his arm, I don't know how. Compare the original with these - his arm is pulled to the left in the latter two. Oh, and the sokuon are still there - it's important to get rid of those. You really don't need to put in the effort if it's eating into your time, man. That's what I'm on the team for (in part); people let me sink my time into menial labor rather than their own. Though, if you can find a super-quick way to repair that image or something, I'll make sure you get your name on the credit page.

It doesn't. The only "drama" that ever happened was Wild Fang in general, and they do not exist any longer. Or at least, they don't do Baki stuff.

What's going on with the cleaner and I is about respect or something. I don't actually know why he's angry, I actually reverted my changes and wrote him a sincere apology; he hasn't responded or updated a single file since then.

That's all irrelevant though - the important thing is that the processes of cleaning, translating, typesetting and publishing are still happening. We're not stopping or slowing down, I'm just trying to be transparent about what's going on backstage. I'm basically now doing the cleaner's job, but I do still need help with certain small things, like the gradient issue. I don't know how to redraw that specifically. Everything else, as far as I know, is easy enough for me. Since I can no longer actually ask him for help, I'm just hoping for some sort of pro redraw person to come along. I know my hero will arrive one day. Either that, or someone could link me lessons on redrawing or just flat-out teach me how to do certain specific tricks. Dunno.

I don't have a particularly easy way (for me) to show you what I mean with the arm, so just do this:
>open photoshop
>paste the original and the final over each other
>slowly move the opacity slider in blending
You'll see what I mean. The arm will "move".

Sokuon are the "tsu"s near the bottom left, on the floor.

I think I can see the slight difference in the arms but I can fix that very easily, and yeah I didn't worry about those "tsu's" because you said you were struggling with the gradient part so I was just giving that a go

uhh crap, I only have the jpeg I didn't save the "psd", plus I use paint.net anyway not photoshop so there wouldn't be a psd file, it will be a paint.net file. I'll try make it as good of quality as I can in maybe png form and email you that for now though.
