Urobuchi only wrote the first 2 or 3 episodes. If A/Z had anything going for it, it was Urobuchi.

Urobuchi wrote the concept story and script for the first 3 episodes. Then another scriptwriter took that story and wrote the script for the rest of anime based on it. Obviously it took a lot of derivation from original concept (which is actually completely normal). So what we know is that in Urobuchi's story Inaho was completely different (probably he had at least some personality). Also original story didn't have that "everyone dies" at the end of s1. Director added that stupid shooting scene for cheap cliffhanger, drama and fan rage. On the other hand bullshit like Asshime marrying "who the fuck is that guy" and creating peace was still Urobchi's idea.

I marathoned it in one day. I watched it only for Asshime. I managed to avoid all spoilers so I genuinely didn't know if she would survive or not. I really enjoyed A/Z because of constant tension and suspense and million of attempts to murder Asshime. I was even kinda satisfied with ending since she survived. If not for her there would be absolutely nothing to watch this anime for.

These guys are retarded. In terms of actual writing he only did the first 3 episodes, the setting and the outline of the entire anime., which according to Aoki they followed to a tee. The characters were by Aoki and Takayama since the latter did the series composition and Urobuchi was just used a promotion so it wasn't that they took what Butcher had and changed it they pretty much copied it on top of their own bullshit
