Stray Dogs started airing today. What did you think /a/ ?
>Ability: Be NOT Defeated By Rain
Im sure their powers wont be that literal
Waaaaaay too many gag moments. Otherwise it's... alright.
Orphan kid joins supernatural detective agency, incidents and supernatural shenanigans ensue.
I like how Akutagawa keeps getting NTR'd in the ED.
MC is moe.
Yeah it looks almost as bad as jojo (let the fanboy assblasting begin)
Don't be silly, MC gets a cute girl later.
Do you mean Akutagawa? He's a faggot not a vampire.
Please no bully, he just wants his daddy's love.
I want to ruffle Dazai's fluffy hair!
Akutagawa was trained by Dazai when he was still with the Port Mafia. Akutagawa always wanted Dazai's acknowledgment but he never got it.
Dazai later abandoned the mafia and joined the Armed Detective Company. Akutagawa feels very betrayed and hates Dazai but still wants his approval. The first episode you saw Dazai recruit Atsushi. So Atsushi is Akutagawa's replacement in a way.
Dazai is aware that Akutagawa wants and he fucks with Akutagawa and tells him that Atsushi is better than him.
He only wants his daddy to love him ;_;
They did bait but isn't that homo if you read the manga. Dasai is an authoritative figure to both although he's more like an older brother to Asushi. Akutagawa never gets Dasai's affection compared to Atsushi.
Something about it seems really generic, I dunno. It has that josei series feel with all the guys being chummy with each other in a strange, not quite realistic manner. I guess it must be because it's got Miyano voicing and doing his apologetic character thing.
It's generic battle shounen but published in a seinen magazine.
First episode was okay, although something about the character designs is really unappealing and the art direction was pretty bland. But it doesn't take itself too seriously so I can just enjoy it for what it is.
Kekkai's humor and cast dynamics felt more natural too. I'm not sure it's an entirely fair comparison though, other than the somewhat comedic tone this has a different vibe to it.
It's in the manga too, although stuff like that doesn't stop fujos from shipping if they want to. Asushi gets a girl later anyway,
>keep fujos away
Except that it doesn't stop the fujos, but it assures those deep in the closet fags that this isn't what they would call fujoshit, so they don't run away immediately.
He wears western clothing at least?
That's what I'm talking about. I don't really like that gothic vampire look.
And speaking of suicide jokes. Why would Dadzai make them? Wouldn't it make more sense for Ryunoske?
Ah, fuck that. I should probably just separate everything from shit I know if I want to enjoy the show.
>And speaking of suicide jokes. Why would Dadzai make them?
It's because the author he's name after is suicidal and attempted double suicide twice before succeeded on the third try. It's mostly gag and not taken seriously.
>His constant attempts to commit suicide with a beautiful woman could be an allusion to his real life counterpart's attempted double suicide with Shimeko Tanabe and Hatsuyo Oyama. His attempt with his lover Tomie Yamazaki was ultimately successful.
>It's also possible that his suicide attempts serve as a reference to No Longer Human's protagonist Ōba Yōzō's multiple suicide attempts throughout the story, which is considered to be a reflection of Osamu Dazai's turbulent life.
My brain thinks the MC is a girl. This is how it starts, I now see.
He's cute but he isn't that pretty.
It's not accurate. Dazai says Akutagawa has become stronger( 變強).
