Probably one of the few cases where reading the manga would actually be way better. Anime ending was original and pretty shitty even though the manga will probably end exactly the same lol
Seeing that character die has almost no impact on the series, considering it's one of those stories where if they introduce a new character, 9/10 they're probably gonna die in the next 10 chapters.
