Is this the best art ever drawn in a manga?
This was an amazing manga. Why haven't more people read it?
It's based on a real person, but he died on a japanese mountain.
Also to this day, K2 east face still hasn't been climbed. It's still the only 8000er face that hasn't been climbed yet.
I like how that 1 guy climbed the mountain because he was a cuck.
I can swear to god when I read this manga years ago there was subtle seen where Mori Buntarou got cucked while climbing K2.
I still to this day can not find it, but there was like a panel where his wife leaves her ring and child behind to go meet a man at the door.
Maybe I'm confusing it with another, similar manga I was reading at the time...but it still haunts me to this day that I can't find this phantom cuckoldry.
>Reminder that the first nine volumes of Innocent were done fucking weekly. Sakamoto's a monster.
Wha ... ?
Humanly impossible unless had had first 50 chapters done when starting.
Oh I agree, didn't mean to demean him, it's just pretty shocking to me if he managed to put out this kind of quality on a weekly basis.
I wish there was some vid on him in that Urasawa series, would like to see how he works and how he does the backgrounds in Innocent. I'd imagine a large amount of them are filtered photos.
I watched a documentary about those 11 people who died on K2 during a climb a few years ago and I will never understand why the fuck people climb mountains this high. It's like they have a reverse survival sense where their brain is telling them "holy shit I need to be in more danger right now, please deliberately put me in a life-threatening scenario".
No it's not, it simply used the name of some obscure Japanese climber that doesn't even have its own wikipedia page. I'm not sure if he actually did go to K2 but he doesn't appear on the wiki page for K2.
He's on instagram by the name of 14mountain and he posts photos regularly and sometimes videos of him working on Innocent, it's pretty cool, he uses some really weird equipment along his tablet and he has a bunch of pre-done assets that he sometimes uses to speed up his work. Like a strand of hair for a certain character, he has a png of a starnd that he did previously so he can re-use it an alter it to finish up on the hair of a character faster. Cool shit.

Seen it a few weeks back but with how far behind we are with scanlations, I'm not sure if I want to risk spoiling myself on something.
Yes, and this
