This is a public service announcement. Boys are cuter than grills.
If first ep is any indication, Sakuma/Him.
Google refuses to divulge to me the identity of this sexual miracleboy or his series.
I so wish some studio actually rolled with Nitro+'s April Fools' joke and made an anime out of it.
Love those droopy eyelids on 6th boy down. Hnnngh
>ruining dat perfect face with a mole
His hair and mannerisms really remind me of Chrona from Soul Eater
everyone so far shares their name with a novelist. is this gonna be a series with a ton of literary references?
So Touken Ranbu is going to have two anime adaptations. Which one will suck harder?
EJ and Koi to wa Baka de Aru Koto da will get CD Drama. Damn, I'm so excited.
Watching BnHA and Joker Game. First ep of Stray Dogs was surprisingly alright and I'll probably check out Kiznaiver as it might be entertaining even if it turns out to be garbage.
Haven't watched Super Lovers yet, though I've been told it's boring as shit and not worth it.
I wonder if it will catch up with fujo.
Hot guys are not enough, you need pairing potential.
When we get mo materials from dem mangas
This anime proved once more than black hair are the best on a man.
I don't care how tumblr I sound, that shit is straight up uncomfortable and creepy. And I'm in to some degenerate shit, but for some reason I just can't handle that.
I think it's that and the general tone just don't feel right to me. I can handle this stuff when it's a doujin and oniichan is bullying his trap brother or vice versa, but a whole show is too much.
>be a boy
>travel to distant exotic land/other world by accident
>don't know shit
>meet another boy
>turn out to be besties out of trials and circumstance
>fall for each other
>fuck like beasts at every possible opportunity
>find out other boy is heir to the throne and you're actually his cousin
>other boy forced to marry a girl to breed an heir with
>you get exiled so you can't be a potential political rival
>lose boy forever
>die in a wilderness, forgotten and alone
Hereditary seats of power are the death of love.
>Family actually shows up and is relevant for more than a couple pages
This is nice. Fumi a cute.
>look the same
>wear the same uniforms
>that first episode
Put on my 3ep list, let's see how it fares.
Is the one in the pic in the source material and if yes, is he a homo
just like the real one was?
>you will never have Mamoru Miyano reject your affection disdainfully
Just one. Boys barely get any official ones, and when they do it's always from flavor of the month series that I don't care about.
Actually the only one I have is of a secondary character from some web manga, it's a miracle he managed to get one.
I really liked Joker Game but Bungo is still the best.
>cute boy stealing for food
>not cute boy whoring for food
Should have started with that premise, then they could have had him look at the military police jogging by and say that was too many to take on at once.
Forget Shonen Maid, forget Super Lovers, Goma-chan is the true homo show this season
Anyone else watching?
>they could have had him look at the military police jogging by and say that was too many to take on at once
This shit writes itself.
I hope for some boathouse scene.
Has a shonen ai/yaoi manga ever made you cry?
The ending of this and Complex got me close.
And in A Cruel God Reings when the MC
discovered his mother knew about how his stepfather raped him and did nothing because she didn't want to lose her manbecause MAD gets me closer to tears than sadness.
And not BL per se but homo related, Franz every time
Fuck you, anon.
I'm sorry, I don't mean that, I love you so much
I think they've got a Pathos thing going on, personally.
>Always thought Ash seemed like the kind of character that wouldn't survive the story
>final battle finishes and he survives
>everything went better than expected.jpg
>gets killed by that dude who hadn't appeared in ages
>A Cruel God Reings
The part where the stepbrother
stops Jeremy from killing himself and finds the photos his father took while raping himwas really upsetting, especially since he didn't trust Jeremy at all for the first few volumes of the series. It didn't help that the drama was actually portrayed realistically instead of being usual yaoishit.
I suppose you're right, but there's nothing sopping him from
letting Mika top every now and then only for it to turn into lots of hugging and power bottoming. And Mika tears.
>Mistaking Yukio Mishima for Dazai
As a litfag this is why this series is going to make me rage. Osamu Dazai was infamous for being a severely depressed and drug-addicted womanizer that bummed off his rich family until they threatened to disown him.
Was Super Lovers always this enjoyable? It was a lot more comfier than I remembered. I'm actually sad that the next couple episodes are going to be filled with drama and Haru being a shit.
>Livejournal came too slow for him.
That killed me.
NLH is more or less an exaggerated autobiography. In one of the Aoi Bungaku episodes they show a picture of Dazai as a child that shows him with a very fake looking smile, which he also used to describe Yozo. He tried to commit suicide a double suicide with one of his girlfriends and she died while he lived.
Yukio Mishima wrote in a similar way too though, Confessions of a Mask is about his homosexuality. Nips love self-insertion.
>Confessions of a Mask
Fuck, that book made me cry bitch tears. The part where he could no longer love that boy from his middle school years because he was jealous of him/the way he looked was literally the only thing I've read that addressed this particular facet of being gay that I thought I was crazy for feeling.
Ugh... What can I say. Sasuga Dazai, I guess?
No shit, I mean which character. There are 30.
These (anime original, mind you) volleyball scenes really make Acchan sound hopelessly in love. They'll make the
climax in the final chapterall the better, if they get to it.
I'll never forget the day we won. I love all of you.
They are brothers. BROTHERS!
Sorry anon, just can't say no to cute boys with huge cocks.
Now we're talking anon.
I was going to mention that. But thinking back, I cried for maybe two seconds before getting really angry at the ending and just laid fuming in bed for the rest of the evening.
His design made me pick up a generic battle shounen. I'm pissed.
Suddenly, delicious back bones
>that blush and smile
Alright I'm sold. Fuck you too, anon.
Yep, and it seems painfully straight.
Buckle up, I hope he's worth it.
>Todoroki/Deku is more popular than Kacchan/Deku
One of the few time best Japan got it right.
This is AOTS right?
The designs and suits look so good, it's even better than I expected.
>giving you two words that are routinely put together in any waifu discussion should be enough
Yeah no, as I expected first results are pinterest and MAL's top 50 pink haired girls.
>They look the same shitposting
Why do you guys love to exaggerate so much? They do look similar but unless you're retarded you shouldn't have any problems telling them apart.
I'm just sad you couldn't enjoy it as much as I did.
>if you disagree with my taste and opinion you're retarded
>you're not allowed to dislike or criticize what I like
>if I like something that means you have to like it too
Pray tell, where exactly do you think you are?
I still have to make an effort, and/or rely on the voices to tell who's who. Slight it might be, but It's already too much. I shouldn't have to spare that effort at all.
If you're gonna make a cast of snowflakes then at least use color coded suits or hair outside the sepia palette and give them distinct personalities from the start.
The irony is strong with this one. Seeing how defensive you are, how you unironically use /jp/ memes without knowing any better and how your only defense to being told to deal with it is shitposting, I can only tell you to follow your only advice. And to stop derailing the thread with your epic replies if you have nothing useful to say.
>make a greentext post with things nobody ever said
>accusing others of being defensive and using memes
Yeah, okay. The only one who's upset here is you, anon.
That's his bare ass. Notice the convenient positioning of this chair.
See how only metashit is being deleted. The post you quoted was harmless on its own until you austists flipped your shit over it.
Of course you are. It has nothing to do with the show and everything to do with the poster.
That's a matter of taste. Personally I find most shows with restrictive color palettes suffocating. Moreover sepia for period pieces is so cliché.
Either way for a show with a bit of sameface going on, a restrictive palette was clearly an error.
Still despite the first episode not being so great I think this show has potential. Hopefully the next episode and those following will be in the same vein as that one last exciting minute of the first ep.
I'm not even the guy who started spamming it before it aired, and I only made two posts about that in this whole mess. The only thing I said was that you were exaggerating, not that you weren't allowed to dislike it or anything.
Why is he so cute?
A lot of people think that they all look the same, stop being in denial. I thought that maybe it was just /a/'s shitposting but even other forums agree that the sameface is strong in Joker Game.
Why does Kacchan make me feel things? I went into the series thinking Deku would be best boy, but I discovered that Kacchan is the best boy.
tfw horikoshi will probably put kacchan in a hetshit relationship. im not even asking for gay, just for him to have no female love interest, but im guessing this series is gonna end with all the male characters hooking up with the female characters.
Yeah, but some anons don't give a fuck and don't use spoiler tags within the threads.
I am just hoping the anons in the Sakamoto threads are kind anons.
Like the HQ anons who consistently use spoiler tags.
It is strong, people said that already, but not to the point where it's 100% indistinguishable.
If anything I think the sameface problem relies more on the artstyle rather than the designs.
It baffles me that the Code Geass OVA series has so little pixiv fanart. I mean, Code Geass has been huge in Japan.
I wasn't that guy.
I never really managed to get invested in any of the characters, except maybe for Ashley. Most likely it's the same for Japan.
Which is too bad. Even now, I don't really understand what they did wrong.
Not that anon but 90% of the time the master is the same size as the original, it's not worth bitching about and it's not worth the effort to open every single picture on pixiv to check
When I downloaded the larger image, for some reason it was flipped side ways, so I ended up just downloading the master image. Thanks for giving me it correctly sided, though!
Reporting them (which I normally do) would mean getting spoiled.
Stumbling across spoilers is what I want to avoid.
Right, except when you save the wrong size like a retard.
It literally takes one single extra click. Don't go acting like it's awfully time consuming. If you really cared about that you'd be using auto-downloaders.
Anime in general has a problem with sameface, the only specific issue with Joker Game is that they have inconspicuous hair and clothes with a similar, toned down colour palette. Anything else wouldn't suit the series, they're spies and can't stand out.
He's right though. Now I only download the original of softshaded fanarts. Cellshaded fanarts and sketchs originals are never bigger than the master.
Are you seriously wondering why people that watched Code Geass for Lelouch and C.C. didn't instantly pick up a retcon AU they didn't ask for that didn't even feature their favorite characters properly? I was here in 2006 and watched both seasons with /a/ but I'm not touching Akito with a ten foot pole.
I do use an auto downloader, and I was opening them for ages until I realized most of the time it wasn't any fucking different and I was wasting my time. If something is obviously, visibly downsized I'll open it but that's rarely the case
I don't know why, but I find his shitty attitude endearing. The thing I like the most about him though is that, (BnHA spoilers)
despite his attitude, he isn't evil, as shown in the recent chapter. In any case, I think he's just tsundere.
but im guessing this series is gonna end with all the male characters hooking up with the female characters.
Even when it's the same size it's compressed quality, sort of like saving facebook copies of images. For example, sometimes the image is the same size, but the master1200 thumbnail is a JPG and the original file is a crystal sharp PNG. Don't save the stupid JPG.
>anime in general has a problem with sameface
True, and the fact that they have similar hairstyles/color palette only makes things worse for this show.
They were going for a realistic style but left the job to someone who doesn't really know how to make unique designs without the help of blatant cartoonish characteristics.
They should take a look at Urasawa, that's how you do understated character design.
I know. I went into the series thinking it'd be like Hunter x Hunter or One Piece, where there's no romance subplot, but there's already a "designated" girl that you know Deku will get with sometime in the future (especially since they have mutual feelings for each other). But I'm just hoping that Deku's the only one and that Horikoshi doesn't do the same to the other boys.
Maybe you just save a few pictures at a time but I go through entire tags in one go once I finish a show, opening every little sketch in a log would double the time it takes me.
At least I know you're not lying when you say you didn't watch it.
Just because Lelouch isn't the MC doesn't mean it has to be bad. Other shows manage just fine. But still, I guess you're right, regardless of what people expected, what shaped Code Geass into what it is is Lelouch himself. Even though both stories share the same universe, it won't feel like CG unless Lelouch leads the action.
Funnily enough I almost mentioned Urasawa because I've found that I even have a hard time distinguishing his characters sometimes. They don't have sameface at all and there's lots of variety, but the fact that they're all normal looking, average people makes them blend a bit when the cast is as large as in his manga.
Nah, more like, what is wrong with the characters. They spent much time introducing them and developping them but I still never got invested in them.
Leila was just as bad, imo.
This is the third time this week I've seen mugen in the catalog. You guys are fucking with my schedule.
Kacchan seems to obsess over Deku too much to not be a tsundere. And besides, I can't find it now, but there was a joke page that Horikoshi made that had Kacchan be really tsundere. Admittedly it was just as a joke, but, you know, it's meant to be Kacchan's personality made extreme.
Like I implied in my post, I watched Code Geass for characters like Lelouch or C.C., not for the political dynamics or plot. If it's an OVA in the same universe but with different characters, I have no reason to watch it. Shallow, I know.
Guilty as charged, what I know is from what I've seen in the threads. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it isn't good or anything. But like you said, Code Geass just isn't the same without Lelouch and not everyone will be interested in it with a different set of characters.
>Shallow, I know.
You said it.
Yeah, that's true but at least not all his female characters are meant to be pretty, that's more than you can say for a lot.of series. One Piece is the worst about it. I just started Shirobako too and every female character is cute and young while the majority of male characters are ugly/old/fat/nerdy etc but I guess I'll just satisfy myself with the few cute boys.
It's just not 2006 anymore.
Show that were popular back then aren't going to be popular nowadays too, especially with so many hits coming recently.
See Durarara, for example.
I really hate Deku's and All Might's voices. Can't wait to hear best boys voice and get disappointing as well.
The adaptation seems kinda meh and slow.
I want to BULLY the samflams
That doesn't sound like justice
Oda has that problem too. Most likely it has to do with them having a very narrow definition of beauty, and girls. Hence whenever the plot calls for a girl, or worse, a pretty girl, they can't help but draw a generic cute girl, usually a stylized embodiment of their own type of girl.
>Episode 1 is literally just half of chapter 1
Jeez, I know they're trying to give the mangaka some space, but jeez. But the art is really nice, right? Plus animated Bakugou. Apparently the nips love him, which means
more R34 of him.
I just think he's tsundere.
Pray for a second cour. I mean, it'll get it, right? From /a/, which I know isn't the most reliable source, I heard that the first episode was really popular in Nipland. So if it continues to be popular, then... it should get a second cour and potentially a second season, right?
Usually I would stay far away from a series like it, it looks like blatant otaku pandering waifubait but it beat Osomatsu for some yearly award and /a/ insists it's more than that, so I'll give it a try. I'm not getting my hopes up though, I have really low tolerance for bland cute girls.
You mean fluffy tail-kun right?
>more r34 of Kacchan
Well, at least something good is coming out of it.
I think it has more to do with sequel fatigue than a shift in what is popular between then and now. Especially where Durarara is concerned. People would have been content with just one season.
Oda is honestly really annoying, he draws interesting, creative designs for male characters but clearly thinks female characters who aren't attractive (and his specific ideal) are a waste of space. What a waste of character design ability.
>you sound so retarded
As you do, kind sir.
I never mentioned anything about Shirobako's plot, only that I found character designs too offputting to be able to watch the show without cringing.
What would the summary change? The fact that it's about the industry just shows how self aware it is about the audience wanting cute moeblobs. I'm 2 episodes in so unless they introduce some ugly old women and qt boys to balance it out, it's just doing what we expect.
I'm not saying it can't be good, it's just shitty character design.
Will I love this doujin as much as I love this cap?
Exactly. But what annoys me more is that even Robin, who used to look both beautiful and distinct from Oda's usual Nami clone base, looks more and more like a random everygirl. Her clothes gradually get blander and unimaginative too. To think she who was introduced wearing a stylish sexy cowboy ensemble is now wearing turtlnecks and my grandmother's shorts pains me on a spiritual level.
>not already knowing the best boy
Why do glasses make everything better?
How are they moeblobs? It's just a girl with a cute design, like practically every single girl in anime. Being a moeblob has to do with how they act too, and none of the Shirobako girls act like one.
If you want a recent example of a real moeblob go watch Bakuon.
Designs so cute they all look like primary schoolers.
Okay, character designs alone doesn't make it a moeblob.
There isn't even anything to complain about. They have a standard cute anime girl design. If you think those are bad then you must have a problem with practically every other anime girl out there.
Yeah, but so far
>every girl is cute
>every boy except two are fat or ugly or nerdy
I don't mind cute anime characters, I just want them to keep it consistent. Either the characters are mostly idealized, or they're mostly realistic. It's shit that the girls are idealized while the men are realistic.
I don't blame anyone for getting the wrong idea based on their designs, I'm going to give it a shot but usually it's an easy way to filter out series that don't fit our tastes.
Spot the moeblob. Hint:
he's holding he chicken.
Kacchan obsessing over Deku? It's much more the other way around. Kacchan would have been perfectly happy if Deku had fucked off after middle school and never come to UA. Deku is more like a thorn in Kacchan's side that he just can't seem to get rid of. Though that is changing very slowly.
Not once in the whole show was I ever bothered because I thought the guys were ugly or nerdy. This really isn't the kind of series where you should focus on that, complaining about it when there's so much more to enjoy out of it, and so many other things thrown at you, only makes you seem like a shallow otaku who only cares about shows that have cute girls.
Image if people started complaining about Sakamoto because it looked like some generic bishonen series. That's how you sound right now.
If anything people were happy about the male designs. You had fatfucks going after the director and that other dude, people going after cool looking guys like Nabe-P, and others going after Tarou which was practically the moest of all the characters. It just seems like such a stupid thing to complain about in this type of show.
Not that anon, but there's Tarou and his buddy who appears in the second half. Also some animators.
Shirobako as a whole is good and interesting enough to be watched for more than just getting one or two boys as husbando, ship or fapbait.
>that other dude
Honda was the cutest one though. ;__; 10/10 would run a bakery with.
Not sure if bait or just reading comprehension.
Good, so you can see how a design alone wouldn't be enough to give a character the title of moeblob.
They look like generic anime girls to me. The designer's style for men and women is simply different.
And frankly his male characters ended up looking better and more distinctive.
Projecting what? I'm basing that exactly on what you said.
You can't bring up an actual source for a buzzword anyway, all you can do is go by the general definition /a/ has given it.
The show would be much better if Yamaguchi was the only character.
Well, it's as you said, the girls' designs look same-y and very anime-like compared to the guys.
Not a problem per se, it just shows there's a marked difference in how they designed the girls and the guys.
Like I said, I'm going to give it a try. I hear good things and I trust /a/ to an extent so I don't assume it's going to just be moeblobs regardless of my first impression.
I don't think it's wrong to be bothered by such unbalanced character design though. I don't think it should be full of bishounen instead though, if anything the better option would just be to make some of the girls older and less attractive because that's probably realistic for animators.
I always struggled to find why anyone finds this ugly freckled fuck appealing, then I realize he's the pathetic loser that you can relate to. Bullied, hideous, unloved, and irrelevant.
Your ability to think logically is evidently poor. Let me be as plain as possible: moe is all about triggering the reaction to adore/protect/cuddle. So it's plausible that such a reaction could be triggered BY CHARACTER DESIGN ALONE.
