Can we all agree this is best comedy anime series ever made?
I haven't seen the anime but I can't imagine they'd be able to include even half the content of a manga chapter, one of the most distinct aspects of it is text heavy lists. It's definitely worth a read, the first 10 or so volumes are some of the funniest I've ever read and the art/paneling/character design is really nice.
The manga is well worth a read but the anime is better at what it covers. That's not even to mention the great episodes where they use different animation methods for no reason or switch all the characters' VAs around.
They literally just copy the walls of text like the one in your picture one-for-one in the anime. You have to pause it to read it all. You really should watch it, you're missing out on a lot.
Was the adaptation as fine as it is or would it have been better as a 2-3 minute short anime? I think some of the gags would've helped in that format.
Also any chance of it getting an omnibus release in the west or Del Rey reprinting? I think there's no chance in hell of any English-Japanese translator touching this again for a western release.
If we're talking about all aspects of the anime (art style, OPs, seiyuu cast, waifus & fan service, amount of episodes, etc.) and not just the comedy alone then it clearly is the best.
No, it was repetative.
I liked Nichibro's best.
It's almost certainly p if you're wondering whether it's p or i. But to answer your question, in MPC-HC type shift+F10, in the pop up click the MediaInfo tab, then scroll through the video section for "Scan type" where it will probably say " : Progressive"
Or if that wasn't what you were asking, it's the second number of the resolution, the vertical height. So 480p.
The subs for Zoku are all pretty terrible though, it killed about 5 different sub groups. If you want best picture quality, look for Ohys Raws on nyaa. Though you'll have to download subs from somewhere else.
Yeah, sometimes DVDs display the aspect ratio differently than the resolution, that's called anamorphic widescreen. But as far as I know, the vertical height is always the same as the resolution, so ___x480 is always 480p.
There'll probably be loads of copycat threads, all full of "What the hell am I supposed to be laughing at?" and "SZS a shit"
Then the 8 people that posted in those threads every day will be visited by a vision of Kafuka and spirited away to the blood transfusion island.
They'll have to take proper responsibility and marry her
Matoi >>> Nami > Chiri > Abiru > Rin
Having Nami as my second best girl feels odd though.
I laugh out loud at some pretty retarded things like physical humor or when I receive a (You) for my shitposts so I personally believe that's not the best qualification to judge humor by.
SZS > Sexy Commando > Cromartie > Gintama > Osomatsu-san > Saint Young Men > Hoozuki > Pani Poni Dash > Detroit Metal City > Nichibros > Arakawa > Jinrui > Nozaki-kun > Ouran > Nichijou > Maria Holic > Azumanga
Did the episode where Sensei gets 'killed' by the runaway street car stick with anyone else? Kafuka potentially trying to kill everyone followed by Sensei's accident and everyone waiting for him in hospital was pretty interesting. It seemed to me that there was more going on anyway.
>did you not read the ending?
I did but Sensei dying in that episode doesn't seem to relate to it.
Interestingly (though I might be wrong), the whole nearly dying from carbon monoxide poisoning part wasn't in the original manga chapter and nor was Sensei's death. I wonder why they changed it.
>started watching SZS roughly nine months ago
>8 episodes into Zan
>keep putting it off because I don't want it to end
This is not ok.
>Not absolute true horror
Was I the only one that couldnt sleep for days after reading the last chapters? I just kept realizing shit one after another.
I used to have hope for something like this happening but after Harumi's VA's death, I doubt very much that it'll happen.
>We're really spoiled as SZS fans though
The countdown made it all possible. I'm happy how that all went down and how they're doing the latest manga.
