So what the fuck is going on with Koutetsujou no Kabaneri? Is amazon pulling a netflix and we are not going to get subs for 6 months?
>The episodes will be available each week exclusively to Prime Video customers the day after each episode premieres in Japan, and Prime Video customers in Japan will also get to stream the first episode of each series prior to the linear broadcast.
Feels good having Prime for ordering physical items.
Probably the only time I'll use a streaming site.
You can cap it.
Someone streamed it yesterday and someone else recorded it.
Quality is mediocre though - And it skips some scenes.
This is why its worth waiting for the TV Raw if you don't livewatch it or use amazon.
>it skips some scenes
It skips the whole ending. It left me with painful blue balls.
Well, its a stream so the quality won't be TV quality and the next day all your nice screencaps will be obsolete.
It's the OP actually. And it seems unfinished. Maybe the TV broadcast today will show a fixed version.
Kabaneri #1 KA list: Tatsuro Kawano, Takaaki Chiba, Yuko Sera, Atsuko Nozaki, Keichi Honda, Ura Ryuta
Oh I didn't notice that. Nice dubs though.
By ending I meant the end of the episode.
And I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't finish the OP on time for the TV broadcast.
They didn't finish Titan's OP until the show reach its episode 4.
Subs might bring answers.
Maybe the burning was to kill the virus inside him and the nails and strangle thing worked to slow the process?
I am more curious about the Kabaneri and how they work.
Apparently they only die for real if you destroy the hearts so what happens if you shoot them anywhere else or behead them? Do they regenerate?
So first ep will be aired in japan in 7 hours and amazon subs gonna be 2 hour late?
HS schedule said ep1 in 10 hours so they might that the raws and
No I'm the one who recorded it with my phone. The mega link is a clean raw but some missing scenes.
I'm taliking about Amazon subs.
Hopefully HS doesn't rely on Amazon to rip their subs, they don't even know when it will be available.
Do you think we're getting a proper OP this time since it's a TV broadcast? Or WIT went full WIT again?
Quite hard to make a crashing train subtle.
Also I love how it's a remake of AoT episode 1.
You only need one monkey with Amazon Prime who uses the Amazon subs and times them for the RAW.
In fact: Everyone can do it.
It did something like that as well one time. Translating and QC are harder than that.
It already does a lot things better.
>Kabaneri are former humans so the whole retarded ARE THEY HUMANS! part of SNK gets dropped
>It's only 12 episodes so the risk of filler-like episodes and slow pacing is lower
>MC is more than a dumb rage incarnate - Atleast he knows how to build a weapon - He also isn't Half Kabaneri or some shit
>He also isn't Half Kabaneri
Spoiler for episode 2 and 3 :
He is, just like Mumei. He repressed the infection and now have similar power (regeneration, strength,...). The third episode ends with him attacking the daughter of the fortress.
What's great about this MC is that he is an Active character and not reactionary like most. We open up to a scene of him hard at work in his spare time this alone makes him a million times more interesting then any mc so far this season.
daughter of the boss of the fortress. Pic related
>It's a Jew site gets streaming rights episode
Lower than Netoge which is already finished airing hours ago.
>MC gets his ass kicked
Araki learned something from Tomino.
Getting his ass kicked by a jerk.
The jerk is a Levi wannabe.
Getting his ass kicked by the same jerk 2.0
These shows that are specifically designed to just have as many elements to them that will be popular as possible rarely work out well, especially with this particular staff. Shiny yes, actually good shows that are more than the sum of their parts are pretty rare though
I love how the shows production commitee is actually jacking it to itself like a 12 year old that was just given a gold star in class for best attendance or something
Most of the official twitter comments are just links to products trying to sell you shit which is what I figure the sole purpose of this anime is going to be in the long run when it falls of the rails story wise in a couple episodes and probably overall production wise too knowing WIT.
>I love how the shows production commitee is actually jacking it to itself like a 12 year old that was just given a gold star in class for best attendance or something
At least we know they are human and not some python-script like A-1's employee.
I'm trying to figure out what Mika is singing during the song at the end.
"I'll keep you with me, so we make sure everybody is happy. So believe in yourself and you'll keep it for the fight. I am carrying everything all with me. The door is open and I keep to fight."
I don't know if all of that is correct, I'm sure it's not, but that's what I hear at least. But I'm sure it's 100% suppose to be english. What do you guys think?
Every show eve tries to sell itself that's like the point.
It looks promising so far, as long as we get well produced and choreographed fight scenes like from the trailer, and if all the characters are as good as the MC it should be fine.
They did their usual get all the staff to make sure to claim to watch and praise the episode on twitter marketing thing too like they did with Fate, Aldnoah, Charlotte, SAO 2 etc so if the usual course follows it'll be massively hyped for about the next month with just nothing but praise for it everywhere and then just go completely to shit with half it's viewers swearing it's gods gift to anime and the other half swearing it's a complete trainwreck for the month after. It's usually more fun watching the ride and all the idiots that get caught up in the marketing hype than actually watching the shows.
Woo we're #1...sort of...we're #1...sort of....today. What the fuck is Netoge anyway, it must have had about a fraction of the exposure this had yet has about as many tweets this early on.
What am I getting in the way of your hype or something. Just saying so far all the usual pieces are in play for the grand fiasco clusterfuck of hype and disappointment this season. I just hope people are familiar with Okouchi's writing, if not people will probably see what I mean in a few more episodes. We should get a bingo going, what do people think will be the first random out of nowhere betrayal for a cliffhanger that barely makes any sense. Personally I think it'll have something to do with the governors daughter.
Wow it's as if people get excited about what they've accomplished
You are not allowed to enjoy shows by those studios.
Because if you say this is good it obviously means that Kyoani and BONES aren't good and that would just be wrong.
>the animation is pretty good.
>stills and speedlines
Hell that image he posted is a still frame
That sky though
>You're hyped for a still image.
It is not the still image itself.
It is the art-style of the anime. It is the choice to finally break away from the average anime style with no noises or personality that has been killing the industry and making every anime look fucking plain in the past decade.
I enjoy stuff like Thunderbolt and this because it is the only time I get to finally see artists doing their job and putting effort.
If you can't appreciate that, then I am sorry for you.
Is that what WITfags are calling it? Was purple bricks a stylistic choice as well
>It is the choice to finally break away from the average anime style with no noises or personality that has been killing the industry and making every anime look fucking plain in the past decade.
WITfags actually believe this.
>Literally 2 stills in the episode
Counted 4. One particular sequence lasted for half a minute. Overall the animation wasn't particularly impressive and what actual moments there were looked jerky as hell.
>This is what WIT haters believe
Because it's probably going to fall apart, and nothing aside from the art is that appealing so far, anyway. It's just like a bad action OVA but with less expectation of consistency and Araki instead of Obari or some other semi-competent director.
Since this show is primarily all about marketing strats and I guess visuals it's probably so they can say they did something extra limit pushing with it considering much of everything else are just elements aped from whatever has been popular in the last few years. Something like "We're proud to announce a first for anime, an early streaming service with Amazon Prime!"
>Which show has better animation this season?
Joker Game. Do you actually believe this epispde looked good? Kill yourself WITfag
The sequence in which the Kabaneri start attacking and the villagers started panicking.
>and Araki instead of Obari
A hack for another hack.
It is not like Obari became popular for his range in animation and storyboarding. He has the pose and the Obari punch. In 30 years he has done nothing else.
>moe artstyle has ruined all of anime for over a decade!" shit.
Especially when modern Mikimoto character designs are the epitome of moeshit
>Which show has better animation this season?
Personally i really like Obaris style but he also really is overrated.
Especially by the Sakuga crowd.
>Obari references himself and re-uses poses
>Fukuda does the same and references Cyber Formula
>WHAT A HACK!
>COPY PASTE JOB!
Joker game had like 30 stills, and the poker scene was hardly even animated.
Nothing demanding high quality animation happened at all, yes it looks good but the animation was worse then boku no pico academia.
Except that's exactly what this show looks to be in the long run, a bunch of noise with little personality. It's pretty much the big dumb hype show of this season with popular people and marketable elements like an Aldnoah or Charlotte. It'll probably make Macross Delta look subtle in the long run with it's combat idols, camp and fujoboy pilots.
>>Fukuda does the same and references Cyber Formula
Actually, people complained about SEED references because he was jerking off. The Cyber Formula ones at least made sense in the context.
Setting's just a typical steampunk thing but with zombies. MC is only good if your idea of good is "he's not a beta, thank god, I'm triggered by the very sight of them!" Action choreography/animation really isn't that good, it's the same floaty action movie shit as SnK but made worse because there isn't the justification of 3DMG pulling them.
>Setting's just a typical steampunk
How many steampunk anime we get every year?
I mean, it is not set in some kind of magical high-school, I consider that an improvement already.
I remember the consensus from the pre-air of first 3 episodes is that the FemMC is really cool/cute, it looks really shiny and movie theater quality (probably because those episodes were planned that way for the pre-screening in theaters) and nobody has any idea what the plot, characters and general direction are supposed to be about as per usual with Okouchi. Basically stuff we could pretty much tell just by watching the trailer. See the thing with Okouchi is he doesn't really write with a sense of purpose, he writes pretty much to fill time and keep as many people as possible back for the next episode which means cliffhangers out the ass and plots that end up all over the place with surprise random as fuck twists that have the shows veering off in new directions pretty much every episode instead of a clear coherent one. That's pretty much what happened with Guilty Crown, King Gainer and Valvrave at least. His shows can be a fun ride for the sheer insanity of it all but going in expecting a coherent story arc is a bad idea.
>This isn't even the most popular nor anticiapated show of the season
Part 4 so its only something for people who already are into it.
Flop of the season.
>Boku no Hero Academia
Looks good but the MC is so awful that it killed it
It's industrial japan x steam punk, looks absolutely gorgeous, quick glimpses at the village where amazing and full of detail.
-The MC is great because he is an active MC, most mc are reactionary like that faggot from stray dogs or the guy from re:zero, where as something happens and they react as an introduction.
In Ikoma introduction we see him actively working on something he is passionate about as he monologes, an active introduction which introduces him makes him already 100x more interesting then any other mc this season.
And of course he isn't too edgy like guts or a little bitch like shinji, he's just right.
The action and choreography/animation was absolutely steller in the trailers, if it's anything like that where in for a great ride.
These threads are gonna be a joy.
This is going to be the new Francesca and you can't do anything about it.
No, see, there's the frontal start where she starts the kick, and then they switch angles and that continues with minor overlap in the first of the three decapitations (which all show the outcome, unless I'm missing what you mean by that), and then there's the finishing shot where she hits the wall that doesn't seem to have temporal overlap but has her going the same speed she was even though she was slowing down in the shot before that, so it seems like another reset to me.
Yes, he's one of the top KA.
I don't really see what's so hard to get about the plot here. It's transparently a story about the main character fighting zombies and surviving in a hellish world with the other named characters while they live inside the train, period. I don't really care much about Okouchi myself but you're exaggerating. There is an obvious purpose to the story so far, regardless of any real or perceived randomness that might affect specific events. Same with Overman King Gainer for that matter. It wasn't hard to understand. Just because there are surprising events or twists doesn't mean it is "incoherent" unless you're knee-jerk reacting to everything and can't take a step back to see the big picture. Even Guilty Crown, which I hated but was only like 1/3 written by him, was about Shu and Inori's doomed romance, coming of age, etc..
I think we'll just have to agree to disagree about the MC, because I don't think that kind of active characterization automatically makes a character more interesting. I also think both Guts and Shinji are good MCs.
> The action and choreography/animation was absolutely steller in the trailers
>in the trailers
What a shocker. Also, I really didn't like that jumping sequence.
Seasonal MMO shit with waifus. Basically it looks like nips are just going after the same shit so far for another season. Top shows so far over there are an MMO LN adaptation, Idols in Space, Attack on Valvrave and Reincarnation melodrama Zero. No surprises really. I suspect Mari Okada Melodrama Adventures and Girls und Boats will join the mix as well.
I love how quickly you switched gears from trying to suggest Macross would flop because nips don't remember their old franchises anymore to shitting on them for liking the same old things now that it's doing well. Never change, anti-Aniplex-kun.
I don't think horrible subs is doing this one. We just need to be patient and wait for someone who will type up the subs from Amazon and slap them on the raw or maybe they use some automated text grabber to do it
No he really does do incoherent twists. Go watch Guilty Crown or Valvrave where shit is launching off in a new direction (pretty much peaking with the Hitler Shu arc) almost every episode and the sole focus seems to be on making things as completely over the top and full of cliffhangers and blood and guts as possible so that people will at least come back assuming the next episode will continue in the same direction the previous one left of with. Rarely happened, particularly with Guilty Crown. I also don't seriously expect him to write every episode, maybe about half of them, 3 quarters at most.
King Gainer I honestly enjoyed but fuck if I had any idea what was going on most episodes. I don't know how much of that was post 2000's Tomino or not though. I mean this sort of shit has it's camp value no doubt, but I wouldn't seriously suspect this show is going to be any sort of memorable masterpiece.
Naw there's plenty of originals that look like they could be complete disasters. Macross Delta and Kiznaiver have tons of potential for that. It's practically the expectation people have for originals nowadays cause they're just so ill conceived and tend to be ripoffs of other hits or just throw as many marketable elements into a blender with only 12 episodes to do whatever with while the marketing and branding attempts to carry the weight. I pretty much never go to watch originals until they're completely done and I know more or less what I'm getting into anymore for a reason.
No, actually. They're kabutomushi zombies, this is secretly an Arachnid sequel.
>Naw there's plenty of originals that look like they could be complete disasters. Macross Delta and Kiznaiver
>Macross Delta and Kiznaiver
>An active character is inherntly more interesting then a reactive one
Like I said, we clearly disagree here.
> you're so picky about the fight scenes christ
So I can't criticize it or I'm being too picky.
>No other show will deliver on action this season
I actually don't think I'm watching any other action show. I might pick up Kuromukuro, but mecha's sort of its own thing.
Some of you faggots are taking this shit way too seriously. Everyone knows this is going to be a big mashfest of shit and is going to be stupid and/or fun.
Guilty Crown and VVV should've given that way.
I didn't like Guilty Crown, you don't need to convince me of that, but obviously the Hitler Shu arc had a purpose in the long run. It showed him the error of those fascist ways and he ended up overcoming them. There's a lot of complaints to be made about the show, no doubt, but the underlying point is all regular hero's journey stuff. Which then proceeded with the defeat of the villains, etc. as you'd expect. Cliffhangers can be overused, you got that right, but I don't think it's as impossible to understand as you're making it sound like. I meant that he was the assistant to the GC writer, so the dude shared blame but wasn't in charge of everything. He is fully responsible for Valvrave though, but even there it's not hard to explain what the story was about (even when it sucked): space vampire teenagers against a world that hated and feared them. Admittedly, King Gainer was also full Tomino so that's a factor too.
Of course it's not going to be a masterpiece. It's just another action/horror mix that will be a blockbuster for normalfags.
If only they did. Half the thread seems to actually believe this is their savior from beta harem leads or uguu "moeshit" or whatever other scapegoat they blame for the fact that they don't actually like anime.
>First episode was already better than Guilty Crown and VVV so far.
Stop exaggerating people.
I don't think it's gonna be a trainwreck, neither do I think it's going to be the next Evangelion.
It's gonna be like KLK or Code geass. Retarded but fun and entertaining.
No it's not going to be like Code Geass dude, it's going to be like Guilty Crown. Retarded and stupid but you're going to watch every episode. Fun will be minimal.
>It going in the higher tier this season with Joker Game and Jojo for now.
Ehh not so sure about that. For now I would place it right under that. It has a lot of room to grow.
It was at least better that RE Zero and Mayoiga though
>No it's not going to be like Code Geass dude, it's going to be like Guilty Crown. Retarded and stupid but you're going to watch every episode. Fun will be minimal.
It's probably not going to be like either. I am not already hating the protagonist, which is s plus.
>Legend of Korra
I've got high hopes for Amazon.
The animation so far is really fucking weird - especially when some scenes (mostly of the girls) are done in a way that it looks blurry/painting-like.
MC-kun is stupid. But that's not a surprise nowadays.
Stop joking, re:cgi was terrible, and i've read the manga it only gets worse, it's edgy misery porn, flat 1 dimensional characters and it hits every possible mmo world cliche, it was ass.
back to /r9k/ with you
>high school student Subaru Natsuki has been summoned to another world on the way back from the convenience store.
What a surprise re:shitto is another summoned in videogame/fantasy world. I'm not even gonna bother watching.
How can anyone even compare this shit.
Goddamn this was fucking awesome. One of the best of the season so far.
Why are there so many of these sites that license anime? There's no fucking way the western anime market is big enough for all these sites to be competing. I'm surprised any of them are still in business.
What purpose did that serve in the grand scheme of things though. Also the implausibility of a complete beta character turning into that for a couple episodes and how over the top evil he was for it only to pretty much go halfway back to the way he was before was pretty ridiculous as well. I personally saw it as a way to fill time and keep people talking while they decided what they wanted to do with the remaining arcs. Turns out it was a bunch of crystals and a whole bunch of hilarity revolving around his crazy sister wanting to fuck his brains out and his former friend with probably the weirdest characterization in a show full of it being a douchebag because ????
>stuffs zombie hearts in his bag
>attracts attention to himself by trying to save someone who might be infected because muh morals
>gets thrown in jail
>escapes and tries to fight zombies with his ultra-powered gun by setting up a trail of blood to lure zombies
>based zombie doesn't go through the front door and jumps through the ceiling
>MC gets bitten because he wanted to try out his new toy
The show is stupid already. Apparently if you choke yourself after you get bitten you can prevent the virus from reaching your head and turning into a zombie. The fuck?
Yeah but as shitty as CR can be, it still offers a better quality product at a lower price.
Do these companies really not realize that charging more and delivering poorly typeset, mistranslated subs isn't going to win them any customers?
> isn't going to win them any customers
It doesn't matter to most of them. For one thing, the "competition" isn't actually direct, since they usually have exclusive rights, so there's only one legal option if you want to watch a certain anime. For another, these sites, and especially the non-anime-specific ones like Hulu/Amazon/Netflix, aren't looking to draw people who know what the fuck they're doing or are comparing subs.
It is just my guess, but the stone on his hand prevented him from becoming a zombie or some shit like that.
Like we saw on the trailer, he will acquire some new powers, and be a thing that isn't human neitherkabaneri ( zombie)
What the fuck, this show is actually better than Attack on Titan.
Nothing stupid about getting a quality specimen that could possible help you to better understand the enemy.
Nothing stupid about telling the police to enforce their own laws and place him in jail for 3 days to see if he becomes a kabane
Nothing stupid about being wrongfully improsioned.
Nothing stupid about luring the zombies away from citizens, so that he can kill them with his gun.
The zombie jumping through the roof instead of the door was amazing, added thrills to the scene
The MC getting bitten after testing to see if his weapon works just makes sense, he took a chance just goes to show he has balls.
You know what everything that happened makes sense and has logical reasoning behind it, maybe it's cause you're fucking stupid that's why it doesn't make sense to you. I'm so sorry for you :'(
Well it's no surprise, the current industry powers don't give a shit about the fans, only stroking their own egos and kowtowing to shareholders and investors who want their shit hawked and to make as much money as humanly possible. Things are were kind of better when it was just fansub groups and stateside licencors instead of companies like Aniplex gouging the shit out of customers with Japanese tier prices and making deals with the likes of Amazon Prime or streaming through Daisuki which sometimes even charges you on top of your subscription fee to watch shit like with Gundam The Origin. It'd be nice if the industry actually started giving a shit about fans instead of just money, sales and tweets, but I don't see it happening with shitlords like Aniplex, Pony Canyon and Bandai Visual running the show.
Availability is shit too though. Most of these services are only available in America, or at least North America.
Still, if they're not drawing in people who are actually interested in the product, why are they going through the trouble? It seems like a lot of effort and money for a very small userbase.
I'm surprised how kind of tame the reaction to this first episode has been so far for those that have seen it at least. I was expecting MALtier OMG the hypest of the hype shit pretty much everywhere but so far people seem pretty on point as to my reaction over it. Maybe the stigma of Okouchi is just that big at this point.
Influx of children and normalshits. You won't see that many shitpost in series aimed at kids like Boku Hero Academia and shit like that.
I only post in threads of series that have a very small fanbase so that faggots don't get triggered by popularity or threads of series that already ended since these are often comfy as well.
>How else would the zombies outside get inside besides infecting the ones already inside?
By hijack I mean they infected who was inside and then shit happened.
Seriously, no different from a terrorist taking control of a plane on crashing it in the USA.
There is no way to stop it if you are not expecting it, and the train is reinforced to avoid shit like that.
She's not gone, she was just having a bitch fit for a week.
>You won't see that many shitpost in series aimed at kids like Boku Hero Academia
I liked this episode
It wasn't the hypest shit but it was pretty solid.
>Influx of children and normalshits. You won't see that many shitpost in series aimed at kids like Boku Hero Academia and shit like that.
Literally the worst shitposting of any threads this season, even Mayoiga.
