This is the power of my Quirk!
First for best girl.
The power of my Quirk is to always pick bestgirl.
you think hes going to be safe from this?
She's hot and has a great Quirk, but you're wrong. She's boring and has boobs, that's about it.
Post yfw the day has come
Jokes on you I've never clicked on /v/
People want to sperg about it, have bestgirl wars, and throw around art. New people are reading the manga, who cares Anon, get that stick out your butt because fun things are fun.
>not knowing metalhead is bestgirl
One of the few with a pure intent on being a hero.
Generals mentality is not fun.
All this does is create a huge circlejerk fanbase that keeps spouting inside jokes and cannot take any criticism.
And when there's literally nothing else to discuss, someone starts an imagem dump because they can't let the thread die, which goes against the principle of this website.
Generals are cancer.
If you disagree please do not be concerned, there are multiple websites on the net that encourage such things, you're free to go to those and you'll get your discussion just as fine.
So why don't you simply leave the thread?
But even if we didn't have this one there would be several others made at the same time by others talking about the anime, just like it's always been with every popular release. There's a whole other BnHA thread on the catalog right now.
>its a Deku finds his resolve and fucks up his body with One for All chapter.
I agree with you.
There was no need for this thread, we should have just waited for spoilers.
However, you have to also understand, because of how the manga chapters come out and the anime episodes airing on sundays, threads are going to be one after another out of sheer necessity, so if you are not a fan of that, its really not because we're going down the general route.
Started reading this yesterday, got to the school sports festival. Might be reading it too fast, but I don't want to be anime only scum.
But I need to ask, does Katsuki ever get better or does he stay as fucking detestable asshole forever? I can understand his obsession over being the best is probably a complex or something but right now I just can't like him even though I really wanted to.
I like him as a character, he's great.
He gets better as in he humbles down a bit and gets character development. He is still an asshole but a good one. You can't go wrong with Explodokills.
He is also the author's favourite so give him some time. Of course you might not liking him at the end, but I believe Hori is doing a great work with him.
That I don't see much of a problem with, after the anime started airing it was pretty much a given.
The problem starts when the mentality of the posters start changing to that of a general.
Shit like "first for X", "Y is cute! CUTE!", reposting pics from previous threads for no reason when the archive exists and some shit like that Annie chant or whatever happening in every single thread of said topic, discussion becomes unbearable.
Why come here to discuss when you're gonna be met with robots that keep reposting the same shit?
>tfw proto Katsuki
>tfw you keep imagining what the series would be like if he was exactly the same in every way, except that his face is stupidly friendly
>tfw you will never see a happy and excited Katsuki chirp out 'go end yourself you useless shitmuncher'
He stops being such a bully, but is still super high-intensity and kind of an asshole.
He comes off as less shitty in UA after a while because while in middle school he was a big fish in a little pond, no one in 1-A is all that impressed with him (he's merely regarded as being a decent fighter) and no one is intimidated by his shtick.
MotherDaughter doujin fucking when
I don't think anyone really outright calls him a genius; Todoroki and Momo are basically like, "Huh, he's pretty good" during the combat trial. He's kinda regarded more like a wild animal otherwise.
They acknowledge his fighting skills it's more than enough. They know he is pretty strong, they don't have to act super amazed like Deku when he sees All Might. It's kinda funny to think about all of this again, Momo was so smug back then.
If I can recall it was basically that his fighting instincts abs his absolute control of his quirk were considered amazing but his ego got in the way which is ironic considering it was basically his ego that pushed him to win the cavalry battle.
This was real, as evident by the puddle being visible in the next following panels. Literally gallons of tears.
Did he channel One For All to do this? Or is it purely a gag?
Misquoted, wanted to quote >>139715921
Which is why it's important for his character development. It was his fixation with Deku which was his problem, he came back to his senses after.
I like how he's so annoyed to the point of shaking with anger. Horikoshi intended for him to be stuck in a middle-schooler mentality, so it fits. Everyone is literally beyond him in social behavior.
This image really got me thinking.
I really wanna see an all out total war scenario in universe, between every hero and villain, maybe even after the death of allmight to make the situations more dire.
In which the pro heroes team up like soldiers and go fight against the numerous villains amidst a ruined city and the innocent bystanders become victims.
And you know there'd be the rogue squad made from the main kids which could help around and such.
whenever i see that part with All Might going toe to toe with that Nomu it makes me DIAMONDS
>All Might Dies
>Everyone looses their fucking Shit
>it looks like it's going to be total War.
>Suddenly all TVs and Radios in the area start giving off static
>It's a video recording All Might
>He gives a rousing speech that ends in him saying "It's going to be okay, Because I'm here" while gesturing to his heart.
>Suddenly no one has the will to fight anymore
Crazy cunt threw boiling water at him. He was fucking 5 years old. I have no tolerance for child abuse. Hope she stay locked up in the asylum forever. Its worse that he actually forgives her, like its his fault for being born.
Actually, he asks her to forgive him. Silly nips and their face-saving stuff.
To be fair she was basically being used as breeding stock by Endeavor- who beat both her and Shouto.
Not the same anon btw.
I would a agree with you satan with the point where endeavor beat shouto but it hasn't been shown that endeavor beat shoutos mom
he might've beaten her pussy senseless though
That's even worse. That is like a mother hating their child because they were concieved through rape. Asking to be forgiven for being born because of actions that are out of your control? Feminist are going to love this.
He slaps her in the last frame of this page for trying to protect Shouto.
This is going to be fun to watch animated.
That I could understand. I still can't forgive what she did. Unless she is legit off her rocker. That was fuck up what she did.
This poor kid has had a fucked up home life. Treated like a trophy kid by his father, and then his mother starts to hate him for reminding her of the face to the abusive husband then scars him for life becasuse of it. I'm surprised there isn't child services.
I'm pretty sure she just had a mental breakdown at the sight of his endeavor side. If he had peaked around the door with his other side he'd have been ok. I mean there's a reason she's still in the hospital.
She probably can't divorce him, and even is she did she'd be separated from her kids and Todoroki, because in Nip land divorce there is no such thing as joint custody.
Follow the fucking conversation faggot. Everyone agrees Endeavor is a bastard. The topic was to what extent. We know he slapped his wife, and physically pushes or abuses his son tobe a man. That, and thinking the mother should be forgiven to throwing boiling water at her 5yo child.
i think its you who clearly cant read. i never once said that endeavor was a good parent. everyone pretty much agrees hes a piece of shit striving to become #1. You might have me confused for the one anon who keep on reaching for reasons why endeavor was not a piece of shit
Bones is doing this AND Stray Dogs in one season?
>can't use his arms
>decides to go into the villain's hideout
i won't be surprised if deku looses his arms and all might ends up dead after this.
i just want to know why hori is always putting him in these positions.
It's time for Deku to fail catastrophically and have some character dvelopment.
This unofficial rescue idea when there are pros handling the operaton is terrible and I think it will end badly. In fact I'll be disappointed if they get out of this mess unscathed.
It might not be from Horikoshi but its still something.
You mean abuses his son to be his ideal, in order to beat All Might, which is also why he was implied to have forced himself on his wife and abused he till she was literally driven insane, and not care about his other kids, to the point he didn't allow Todoroki to play with with them because he considers them to be failures.
There shouldn't be any question, about it he's shit.
>What is you macro even trying to convey?
Why is it that a's most bad superhero dads are on fire?
He's still got time to get a better one. Hell Todo is probably going to get a pass on dying horrible because he survived Stain.
So when do we get the full version of the OP?
I-Is this a doujin?
>tfw Sero is probably a highly athletic youth full of potential whose quirk can be easily utilized in manifold situations but he's never had a chance to shine
Give Sero and Ojiro a side chapter, Hori.
>Is All Might the character in My Hero Academia that you like the most?
Horikoshi: It would be wrong of me to say that I "like him the most", as All Might is an absolute within this series, so there is no choice for me as I have to like him. His words are all very cautious, so I have to go over them repeatedly to decide his lines, which costs a lot of effort. So even though I like this character, as I draw him I need to keep reminding myself that "this is important!". On the opposite end, Bakugou is somebody that I can relax to draw. I really like Otomo Katsuhiro sensei's, Akira, and within this series there is a character called Tetsuo who, even though he's a kid, is really strong. And he uses his power like a kid too. I really like that, so I decided to create a character like that in My Hero Academia, which is why mentally speaking, Bakugou is still like a child, though he has a really strong power. His way of fighting is also jumping and flying around, and when he actually fights he hollers and shouts. I'm really happy when I draw characters like that. However Bakugou's words are all really rude, which might make readers feel unpleasant, though personally I like him.
Wait, didn't they get Todoroki's sides wrong? The ice is the right side isn't it?
For some reason "an ideal of hope" seems a fitting theme for Deku
Shouto decided never to use his fire power in combat and only rely on his ice power, going so far as to cover his left torso and arm with ice in his hero costume to symbolize his rebellion against his father and his fate.
Her invisibility is a mutation. Ereaserhead can't erease mutations. It was also hinted that it's not her actual quirk or at least there is more to her than just being invisible.
Favorite Quirk? Don't take into account character or personality.
I really like Fumikage's. I like the idea that his Quirk is completely sentient and a different part of him. Reminds me of something like a Stand User.
What can I say? I like explosions
Mr. Compress because marble madness!
of course, they both walk the same path
So I just recently got into this series, but I don't know what kind of devil magic Horikoshi used when designing Kacchan because there's no reason for me to find him so hot. If I were a woman, my hypothetical ovaries would literally
explodinganytime he's on scene.
>I havn't even read or seen this series yet
Recovery Girl's name is Chiyo-baasama.
He can be quite amusing too, like when he is the one being bullied.... or his face whenever he gets his ass manhanded to himself. And he does have a cool headed side too (alas it rarely shows). He's a dick but a fun one.
>He can be quite amusing too, like when he is the one being bullied
Bullied Bakugo is best Bakugo.
Tapes is the power I would like to have. Seems pretty useful and fairly versatile, and he seems to actually be one of the better students in class when it comes to using his quirk. He failed the exam because he decided to save grapes, I don't know why he didn't get to pass.
You guys think Horikoshi will give Kacchan a girlfriend?
Please say no.When I got into the series, I was really hoping it'd be like Hunter x Hunter, where there's no romance subplot. But looks like Deku x Uraraka is end game.
>reading the manga
>kaachan dialogue is nothing but fuck this fuck that
gay ass translators i hate it when they do this shit just to make babby shounen seem edgy and for adults
Doesn't change her being immune to Eraserhead.
Being able to see her clothes floating obviously wouldn't work, as otherwise he could have erased Momo and Todoroki's quirks when they were under the cloaks.
I can't see him with a girlfriend as for now. Maybe later on if he matures more. But most likely towards the end if it ever happens.
Besides Deku X Uraraka, I can see Todoroki X Momo as well.
I honestly think they probably will, but the way they've handled Deku and Urakaka has been pretty unobtrusive; it's actually been really good for the plot too, at least in so far as the run in with Toga.
I feel like the way things have gone that such a thing won't be a burden. Kacchan's already hooked into a kidnapping arc, so they can't pull that cliche twice (read as: shouldn't).
It does get a bit out of hand but I don't think that's the intention, it's just to make him stand out as a crass individual, which he is, but literal translation just makes him seem like a slightly rude but overall normal kid by english speaking standards.
Now I finally have an easy reference for all the names I can't remember.
Translators are trying to make him a normal, pissed off Western dude. He doesn't talk like that in Japanese.
His speech pattern is rude for sure but instead of using the work 'fuck' he mostly says 'damn', 'shit' etc. He also has never used the word bitch. But as I said the translators are trying to make him sound rude by our standards. It can become too much sometimes though.
The closest girl to Bakugou seems to be Mina, if even Endeavor married someone he will probably at one point but he and Deku don't give a fuck about such things now. It depends on how Horikoshi decides to develop him. Only Gravity cares about romance so far.
He's really rude in Japanese. Japanese has ways of being offensive without doing what we would call swearing, and he uses them all.
His way of telling people to "go die", for example, is hugely offensive. In English it sounds a bit childish on it's own, so something like "fuck off and die" conveys the meaning a bit better.
Mfw all the new r34 that will be made because of the anime
>His way of telling people to "go die", for example, is hugely offensive
It's more similar to when kids say it though. Not that it excuses him but when Hori said he is still mentally a kid, he meant it.
>mfw all of them are best girl material
Pink and Earjack
How many more times can OFA be passed down to a new successor before it becomes too powerful to be wielded at all? >Deku loses to AFO in final fight
>about to be killed as AFO is gloating and giving his "I've won" speech
>Deku bites his cheek hard, and hawks a big gob of his blood into AFO's open mouth while he is laughing
>wills the power to transfer
>AFO's body explodes from the tremendous power
>NOT MY LIMBS!
I want an insect Quirk so Tsuyu keeps touching me with her tongue and telling me how good I taste.
Good god, that frog does things to me!
Forcefully passing on a quirk that is uncontrolablle to harm the reciver isn't even a bad idea for an ending. to bad thought OFA would have to actively use it and him, having multiply quriks all along, would probably mean he knows how to selectivly use them.
I dont think that it could. Maybe at full power, but deku seems fine using full cowl 5%, so there isnt any reason that future holders couldnt use say 1% in the same way.
So I watched the first episode today, and while I liked it for staying true to the manga, it seemed a bit more childish/for kids (Barring tentacle mouth rape) than the manga did around that part, or maybe I'm misremembering. What did you guys think?
They definitely acknowledge him as more than JUST a decent fighter. But it's UA so they're the cream of the crop. They acknowledge him as really good but they aren't cowed by him or intimidated.
I read the manga not long ago. I don't think that's the case at all. Probably the reason you feel that way is how the translation was handled; Kacchan is far less profane sounding and they haven't gotten pass the veneer of "superheros doing superhero things".
I'd give it until next episode to see if we actually have a serious change in tone. Wait til we get a good look at All-kite... er... All-light? No-Might? I can't think of a good joke for skinny All-Might...
It's possible though.
So I just blazed through like the first 11 chapters
So Bakugo and MC have known eachother since childhood yet bakugo has been shitty to him since he got his quirk
But the thing is im getting this weird vibe that bakugo still doesnt actually not consider him a friend
You know what I mean?
>But the thing is im getting this weird vibe that bakugo still doesnt actually not consider him a friend
Bakugo is, in a sense, tsundere as fuck. He's the Vegeta to Deku's Goku.
Bakugo acknowledges him but he refuses to admit it. Why does he consider him as his rival if he thinks he sucks? It doesn't make sense. There is more abut their relationship later.
The way I see it, Bakugou doesn't acknowledge Deku as a friend but can't seem to leave him alone. At the worst of times he's just a straight up bully but at the best, he's 'merely' a shitty friend.
I see it as a kind of spectrum I guess?
I feel you. Kacchan started to be a huge bully and has huge character flaws, but they were pretty good buds when they were little, so I don't think he really means any true malice until Izuki starts seeming like a credible rival. The only things that actually seem to get Kacchan worked up with Izuki is when he thinks Izuki is trying to get out in front of him or looking down on him.
Once Izuki starts pulling his weight he stays mad, but he can't be as much of a bully. They lock horns often, but they've ultimately got a lot in common, and Izuki tolerates him enough that they're sort of an odd couple.
I'm still waiting to see where that goes in the manga, because I can see it improving or souring immensely; I really can't read where its going from here.
I'm pretty curious if they're going to reveal that Midorikawa has another Quirk. They already set up that it's possible, but I wonder what it could be so it doesn't contradict anything.
It's a pretty weird relationship between childhood friends.
Bakugou, at first, couldn't stress enough that a quirckless Deku still wanted to be a hero. So whenever Deku showed concern or went against him, it pissed him off (he saw this as being looked down thus inferiority complex).
When Deku got his quirck, he thought all these years Deku was making fun of him by not using it. So their whole battle happened and finally Bakugou decided to put some sense.
After this, he still is awful to him but not as much. You can see later on during the tournament he acknowledges him as a rival but still thinks he shouldn't get ahead of him and is pissed off by Todoroki for that reason.
But I believe chapter 62 is the point where he reaches the bottom and starts to come back to the surface.
As of now, he hasn't been hostile towards Deku and if my gut is right I think that by the end, their relationship will become way better than now. But I think it's mostly up to Bakugou to decide that because Deku, even if he resents him, seems acceptable in the prospect of having a normal conversation with him.
Shinsou... I feel you. I feel you deeply.
Didn't think I'd care for this character after him coming off like a complete douche, but suddenly he just become one of the most, if not the most, complex characters in the story.
Mother of god.
This is simple, Bakugou started going south once he got his quirk and Deku was a faggot with no balls, it establish a superiority-inferioty relationship between the two. But Bakugo did know that Deku had the will to become a hero and his looks when saving people gave him the impression that he was belittling him, so he tried to break his mind and Deku never retorted to him because he had no quirks, no confidence and no balls. And everything changes when he finally retorts once and when they fight. All of this is mainly Bakugou's fault but Deku has his own share because he was a pussy, in the class he was the only one unable to talk back.
Eraserhead talks to the reporters and thinks they prevented the worst possible situation even while Bakugo was abducted, because no one was killed
It could have gotten much worse if TetsuTetsu and Kendou didn't take out the Gas Villain
The reporters are asking the principal if the school didn't fail already, because all of them speculate that the villains took Bakugo after his "villain like" performance in the Sports Festival
The reporters are purposefully provoking the teachers with this question
Eraserhead answers that from all people Bakugo was the one who showed his conviction to be a hero the strongest during the Sports Festival
Principal: We aren't standing still. The investigation has already started.
Bakugo was watching that speech
Bakugo: I should kill all of you, but i still follow the law and i don't have a combat permission.
Dabi: You won't fool anyone here.
Shigaraki is still focusing on the "Father Hand" on the ground
Shigaraki now understands that Bakugo won't be convinced that easily but also how important he is, so he asks for the "force" of his teacher, of All For One
All For One: That was a good decision, Shigaraki.
The fact that he doesn't know Deku's struggle made that chapter sooo fucking good. A lot of people don't like the Festival Arc, and admittedly it's not the best, but I think it adds a lot of much needed depth to the characters
>Shigaraki now understands that Bakugo won't be convinced that easily but also how important he is, so he asks for the "force" of his teacher, of All For One
>All For One: That was a good decision, Shigaraki.
My nip is trash, but it looks like that line as something about [this] looking like some sort of Bakugou noumu.
Unless it means Bakugou is being set up for the process, I'd say it's a fake. Too fast of a turn around, and Jump would never let Hori lobotomize a kid, much less one of the three most popular characters.
>Ultimate space for jams
>Space for jams
>Come on and slam
Reminder that All Might is going to die soon, and his last words will be him looking into Deku's eyes and saying;
>I have no fear, for you are here!
>Deku and Ochako spazzing out together
I need more of this
I found spoiler script.
I never thoght someday I think Endeavor has a point.
>breathing fire and attraction powers merge to create some "inner fire/inner flame" power that let him draw upon his mind/spirit
>it's what lets him sperg out so well about analysis and see the OFA ghosts
>will let him occasionally talk to All Gone via ghost vision for advice and motivation even after he dies
Worstdad probably used his Hero clout to keep things hush hush.
Because the way he treated his children and Wife would've caused a huge media circus that'd damage the reputation of the Hero System
Hori really liked his first series, right?
>All Might's team is the fight team
>Best Jeanist's team is to secure a safehouse where they will bring Bakugo back
>Shigaraki asked AFO for help with controlling Bakugo
All that's left is for Doomsday to appear and the giant fight can start.
Every time a character came into the limelight they got better tenfold.
The spoiler from >>139735044
makes it seem like Bakugou was about to go full akbar on the villains, and Shigaraki says something about stopping him. The other villains get freaked out when they hear him say that, and Bakugou acted confused/surprised as his quirk fizzles out (New... What's that mean? And what's this bastard's quirk...? Is it like Eraserhead's nullification quirk?).
The other villains then try to encourage Shigaraki to calm the fuck down. He says he has calmed down, and asks Bakugou if he has as well. Scene cut to All Might and the other heroes.
What if Shigaraki's birth quirk wasn't destructive touch, but something else, and the touch power was gifted to him by AFO?
Of course, it could be that he had death touch all along, and was recently given other powers, instead.
i like to think the reason he has what looks like cracked lips and his eyes are fucked are related to his body being able to house multiple quirks. Maybe his deterioration quirk is a means to stop it from occurring to him by pushing it onto others
>cutting out the ribbits
For what purpose?
AFO gave his younger brother OFA and it didn't turn him into a vegetable.
Or maybe to keep him from passing on powers on his own, if he happened to get that, too.
>mfw have to wait at least 3-4 more weeks before I get to see Froppy animated
>What if Shigaraki's birth quirk wasn't destructive touch, but something else, and the touch power was gifted to him by AFO? Of course, it could be that he had death touch all along, and was recently given other powers, instead.
The only people with multiple quirks apart from AFO were Noumus, who were all "brainless" dolls to be commanded. We have yet to see a stable multi-quirk user. Plus there was a panel of Shigaraki's past where he stands next to a pool of blood as a child and there is a human male's hand in the pool. I'm guessing his quirk manifested and he either accidently or deliberately disintegrated his father but kept the palm as his headpeace. So I am pretty sure that is his only, natural quirk.
