It's true though. Back then shows didn't felt the need to pander as hard and were more focused con tell their story and doing its own thing. There's always standards but back then it feels like creators had a bit more freedom.

But i guess it comes with the times. Just look at how hard people sperg when a show detours from the cookie cutter formula they expect.
